The Role of Radovan Karadzic /Sub Specie Aeternitatis/ ("From the Standpoint of Eternity") The indictment of the wartime Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic - is threaded very lightly in the Media - and for a good reason. The internationalist diplomat (in American clothes) who, for the sake of power, made a deal "with the Devil" in 1996 certainly knows why.by Seneca

In recent news you may have heard that a gentleman by the name of Radovan Karadzic (pronounced Rah-doh-van, Karah-geech), the wartime leader of Bosnian Serbs, was arrested and will be tried in the Hague. This is an important development in that it will present an opportunity for the accused side to defend itself in the court of law (and later, with a book deal). Some in the West will find this defendant's truth very uncomfortable.
But without prominence it is hard to get one's voice heard in defiance of the absolutist will of the group of interests centered around the Western Media Powerhouse. To combat negative hype and the overwhelming propaganda magnitude of financial power-supported truths which are self-serving in nature and demand compliance to the detriment of proper debate - one has to get equivalent air time.
I feel (based on my investigation of the matter) that the important symbolic as well as historic value of the Yugoslav wars of the 1990's has not been shared with the public.
Personally, as a researcher of History and as someone who knows intimately the history of the Balkans, I do not believe that the accused in this case is a criminal by nature. As an intellectual par excellence, J. W. von Goethe, noted, (and which holds equally true in the equally relevant case of the 'Haditha Massacre' US Marines' trials centering on the humiliation of the honorable Marine Lt. Col. Chassani) 'Conscience exists in the mind of the observer and never in that of the doer.' - hence, wars of national survival do not operate on the basis of the conscientious concerns of the observers, they never have and they never will. This is a fact of facts of History that no amount of pompous and self-righteous sermonizing will EVER alter. One only does what is necessary or nothing (goes down). In wars there is only victory or defeat. Peace is only a preparation for other wars. The better the peacetime readiness the better will the challenges be met.
The accused in this case has outlived his usefulness to forces which swirled around him on his watch. Without his decisive leadership over half of Bosnia would not today remain a Christian land steeped in the ways of (a provincially-flavored) European Culture - and would instead, be replaced by the first-ever Pan-Islamic mass-mentality state of religious terror (bought and paid for by Saudi Arabia's Wahabi oil money) - for the sake of which - thousands of charging Islamic radicals the world over fell in futile armed assaults before the leadership of the accused "war criminal" and the Serbian nation that stood squarely behind him. That such a state would have been tolerated on Europe's soil (an international idea that has only been strengthened by the shameful responses of the sold-out Western politicians) - is itself unconscionable. Today, Israeli blood, yesterday, the blood of the people in the Balkans, is paying the price of this unchecked expansive pressure of Islamic radicalism supported by a web of international financial interests. In 2001, the blood of New Yorkers was paying the price. What will tomorrow bring given such criminal negligence by the Western politicians and their hypocritical winking at the Islamic forces of terror that are encroaching upon the West?
The liberal West has had problems distinguishing between "freedom-fighters" and "terrorists" since Juarez and Pancho Villa, so Bin Laden is no exception.
Shameless politicians, like Richard Holbrooke, whose criminally-complicit diplomatic 'tour de force' featured at its peak the well-connected US diplomat's photo-op fraternizing with the Kossovar terrorists in full battle fatigues (boots, masks and kalashnikovs), barefoot in their presence - or pet idealistic causes of the greedy financier George Soros, are all paving the way for far bloodier wars of the future. That even a democratic government of Serbia could be humiliated by a unilateral decision in Washington to give away to the Islamic World an old parcel of Christian culture and Christian blood-soaked land (Kossovo) is another unconscionable act. Conscientious concerns do not shape History, only interests do. Conscientious concerns in fact are only usefully directed at opponents in the service of concealed interests, that is what the Western Media specializes in. But can someone in the West act on behalf of its public whether it is in the interest of the perhaps still self-conscious Christian majorities of the West given that such pro-Islamic policies continue to be promoted through a well-engineered campaign of heartbraking sound-bites ?
But, the public believes only that which it is told over and over or shown in ad-like programs in prime time. That is what 'truth' amounts to in the age of information.
The fact remains that the former president of the wartime Bosnian Serb Republic, a staunch Christian principality born out of the turmoil of the natural collapse of an internationalist state (Yugoslavia), was and is considered to be the savior of his people. There must be a deep reason for that feeling because the Serbian nation was not born yesterday (or on the spur of an accidental moment) and it runs a long, successful and proud record of historical achievement, the rear-guard of the European Civilization (whether in opposition to Ottoman Pan-Islamism, Russian Bolshevism, Nazism or even against petty regional nationalisms), as any, even casual, History books reveal.
The West will pay an unimaginably large price for the logic of Money-force it uses around the World to its own detriment (both for quasi-political and quasi-religious, symbolism-free purposes).

Only the resolute men on the scale of Putin and Karadzic will make a difference in the politics of the future. The Liliputians will hope to try them for "War crimes."
