"Jimmy Justice" : He Videotapes Corrupt NYC Police
Videotape them: It's the first big step towards demanding honesty from, and restoring some respect for, police and other officials. by Dan Steward

"Jimmy Justice" is as brave as I've ever seen anyone in modern day America.
It perhaps makes you wonder what Jefferson or Franklin would have done if they had the technology to go with the will they would have undoubtedly had, to film their tormentors in the act.
"Jimmy" lives in New York City and records Parking Enforcement Police and other government petty agents illegally parking and otherwise disobeying laws on the street. He posts the content to a Youtube site and has gotten over a million hits on some of his videos.
He even gets vocal with the so-called public "servants" that daily abuse the people of the Big Apple and that's where the true beauty and absolute bravery of it all exists. He also exposes the blatant hypocrisy these agents exercise whenever they park in front of a fire hydrant or in a no parking zone.
One video finds him screaming at a female parking police officer and all she could mostly do was walk away while he yelled "you ought to be ashamed of yourself" at her. She even had the nerve to ask if he should be filming her.
Too many of us have been brainwashed into the mentality that the notion of government "watching us" is a one-way street. It is shameful that people everywhere mistakenly believe that we are forbidden to film them, even if to collect evidence that they are breaking the same laws they have sworn to uphold.
Law enforcement agencies anywhere will never be able to regain the respect of the people when they blatantly demonstrate to the public that there is a set of laws that citizens are required to obey (or else) that they as police, may freely ignore those same laws.
Police do not come automatically equipped with a laundry list of special "rights" that go with the gun and badge that "us common people" don't possess. The real truth is that we have always had these rights. They only appear to have withered away simply because we did not consciously choose to both stand up for and exercise those rights. Jimmy Justice is a hero for our time in every sense of the word.
He has gone literally face-to-face against hypocritical armed agents of the state, staring them down and refuses to blink. It's not just that our nation needs people like Jimmy, I truly feel that it actually demands them in much greater supply than we have already.
The ugly alternative we should never have to face, is that Big Brother will continue to kick us around forever, simply for no other reason than because it can and we are too afraid to stand up to their hypocritcal abuses upon us all.

Dan Steward

Check this article from a private-citizen lawyer in Oregon who went even further than Jimmy Justice. He actually issued several tickets to the police officer who parked illegally. The cop had to actually show to traffic court as a defendant like the rest of us.
