Conspiracy-fearful Ron Paul supporters should Pay Their Financial Obligations and not Leave Us the Bill I know all too well the disgust and disappointment that sets in when you come to realize the world is run by people that want to play god with our lives. The answer, in protest to fascist schemes, is not to ruin your own credit and hence raise the rates for the rest of us.by Nickalis N. Tower

If you're one of the 1.2 million Ron Paul Presidential primary voters in 2008,
Or if you're one of the nearly 80,000 Ron Paul enthusiasts that has signed up at his 'Campaign for Liberty' web site,
and
If you're one of the fearful Americans that subscribe to notions of New World Order conspiracy,
Or if you're now a fearful American who has seen "Freedom to Fascism", by Aaron Russo, or "Prison Planet" by Alex Jones,
Or if you've seen any other video or read any other stories regarding how evil men are ruling America and ruining the future of the world,
then I ask you to not to manifest your fears of economic doom into reality by doing something stupid : walking away from your financial obligations.
Help me out. Help your children out, or your family and loved ones out. Help yourself out. Do the following:
1) Pay your credit card bills. Cut them up if you don't want to use them again.
2) Pay your mortgage. Sell your home if you don't want to pay into 'their system' any more (or if you can't afford to keep it).
3) Pay your auto loans.
4) Pay your student loans.
In short, pay every bill you owe, because if you don't, then I and everyone else (including future generations) will be forced to foot your defaults, via the central banking monopoly system that has the power to tax everyone via monetary inflation, rises in property tax, rises in sales tax, rises in corporate tax, etc.
Remember, that people won't respect you if you walk around squawking 'it's the end of the world!'.
Remember, that people won't listen to you if you refuse to live responsibly, while they do.
Remember that no matter how good the ideas of Ron Paul may be, that you can't properly champion his cause, and you can't spread his ideas when people don't respect you.
To grow the Ron Paul Revolution, you must grow out of your fears.
You must become a man (or woman) of self-respect.
Pay your damn bills.
P.S. Other tips to help you sleep at night
5) Buy a .22 revolver. Learn how to shoot. Become confident you can defend yourself.
6) Get into physical shape, go for walks and / or jog to use up nervous energy.
7) Eat well and drink plenty of water. Eliminate drugs and minimize alcohol use. A sound body helps ease the mind.
8) Learn about the first American Revolutionaries, about World History, or about Intellectual History. This will arm you with inspiration and good ideas. See the History section of the Ayn Rand Bookstore (Link).
9) Watch the John Adams HBO miniseries, now on DVD. Stop being a wimp and stop complaining about your life. Realize that even in our bad economic times, we live surrounded by far more luxuries and wealth than the founders did in 1776. For that, thank the enlightenment forefathers, the industrial revolution captains of industry, and the Founding Fathers for putting their lives and fortunes on the line to throw off the chains of tyranny.

Sounds to me like someone is frustrated. Self respect has nothing to do with gaining the approval of others, its all about doing what you believe is right. If you believe its right to opt out of "respectful" society don't worry about those left inside. Not paying your bills isn't going to leave anyone else in debt unless they choose to be in debt (although it can and should hurt your credit rating).
As for championing Dr. Paul's "cause" I think that it is safe to say that it is the cause of all of us, not just the good doctor. How you choose to pursue it should once again be based upon your personal beliefs, not how best to kowtow to someone else's ignorance or prejudices. I think that's how we've gotten into this mess in the first place; by comprimising our ideals as both a nation and as individuals.
A .22 is only going to make the other guy mad. And a revolver is really going to limit your options. I would recommend at least a 9mm semi-auto.
You are way out of line, sir. The essence of the Ron Paul Revolution is personal responsibility and NOT bailing out the reckless.
It sounds like you might have some twisted ideas about the Ron Paul Revolution; the real issues bankrupting our country;some serious personal issues; and possess also a complete lack of understanding of the Constitution, as well as the thinking of the Founding Fathers.
Perhaps you should give up journalism and turn to Credit Card Counseling or maybe even Tax Collection.
This Artcle had some interesting things to say. I dont think the message of paying bills is strong, but its a nice way to try to get a lot of people on the same page.
Based on this decent writing, I look forward to reading better writings from Nick in the future.
Oh, and yes, I agree, buy a revolver for protection. Every American should be able to protect themselves.
Keeping the government within its constitutional limits is what keeps us from all of these things that are mentioned here. If we allow govt. to run amok then you can expect that they will continue to take your freedoms and your liberties. The founding fathers did not leave us the second amendment simply for hunting and protection from each other (though we feel that is what needs doing now - sad it has come to that) they left us the second amendment to protect ourselves FROM BAD GOVERNMENT and those that would try (and have been succeeding) to take our rights and liberties. The government has been trying to take all of what our founding fathers left to us for over 100 years. The constitution will never be dead UNLESS the people no longer want it. Through education the govt. has dumbed down the people so that we and our children feel the need to bow to a king yet once again. Most kids now if you ask them, will tell you that we have a govt of democracy instead of a republic. They truly do not know.
All ten planks of the communist manifesto are operating within the united states right at this very minute.
Should we give in or should we stand against this tyranny?
YOU decide.
The point of your article reminds me of a big part of the problem we now face. You say we should be 'good' citizens and not buck the system because the wardens will punish the prisoners who did not try and escape... Huh?
If the system is wronging us all and a few of us have the courage and self respect to say "No More!", then how can the rest of the population rightly put the blame for their greater burden on those individuals, rather than on those who act to hold them down?
That kind of psychology is what was used on the POWs in Korea to get them to accept their imprisonment and to get the soldiers to hold one another back from attempting to escape or to even disobey their captors.
Think about that for five minutes. Your frustration is misguided, sir.
What kind of idiocy is this? No one is advocating not paying their own bills. This is nutty!
Also, if you read Obama's Berlin speech or listen to McCain tout "trilateralism", you will realize that your idea of world government being a 'conspiracy' is archaic and naive. They are teaching world government in the schools now as far down as kindergarten.
Also, Ron Paul is the paragon of personal responsibility seeing as he is personally not in debt, he never was once in the 'red' in his campaign as most others, never had to borrow money for the campaign, still has money left over from the campaign, and always advocates not spending what you don't have, both governmentally and personally.
People have some pretty misguided and outright nutty ideas about this whole movment but yours has to be the absolute nuttiest.

3) Pay your auto loans. 4 Cars Free and Clear!
4) Pay your student loans. Don't Have Any!

My wife has a .22 (Ruger, I think). She uses it for picking flies off the kitchen counter......... I got the S&W .357 with the second amendment in mind. That was when Bush bot elected in 2000.Then the lever action (same caliber), that was right after hi re-election. Then the pump action, that was about the time I found out what the FED is really up to a couple of years ago. Glad I bought a load of ammo before the price skyrocketed. Since the current depression got started for real a couple of monthes ago, I've been thinking bazooka. Maybe second hand, got bills to pay.
nickalis,
your essential statist premise -that ron paul supporters are lazy doomsday prophets is impudently condescending.
paulites are in general, much more aware of the financial problems of the world and are more likely than the average mcbama supporter to be debt free(or low on debt),and living well within their means. they also own gold -which trumps all other nonsense.
they are also independent minded -thats why they read on the internet and research for themselves. do you think RP who is such a fiscal conservative will attract profligates?
get real. you are preaching to the choir here.
The "New World Order" is not a conspiracy. Reagan and the Sr. Bush mention it in several of their speeches during their presidency. The fact that Europe is now a "European Union" is proof of that. The premise behind a new world order consists of a one world government. I sit and monitor what the bill\'s that are going through Congress and have seen the crap, that if ever goes through, would be the begininng of the end of America as we know it. This whole thing keeps coming up over and over again and can\'t be ignored anymore. You want to make a difference, monitor Congress, write your state senators, get involved, remind them who they work for. The real power here is in WE THE PEOPLE. If they ever take our guns away like they did in Europe, it will be the beginning of the end of America.
I recommend anyone read a small little book written by H.G. Wells in 1940. Wells was a Fabian Socialist and he entitled his book The New World Order, in fact, read any of the writings of the Fabians and you will see an eery correlation between their plans and the way our world has taken shape.
I totally get where this author is coming from. I know a fervent constitutionalist conspiracy theorist who feels totally justified in not paying his credit card bills as he claims the banks will get paid twice if he does so. Whether or not his claims are factual is not the point. He does not exchange value for value, but firmly advocates getting something for nothing. His financial interactions with others are fraud-laden and ultimatey based upon a narcissistic sense of entitlement.
I don't know how many "freedom lovers" feel they are "free" to renege on contracts they have freely entered into, but I hope it is miniscule.
I agree with the author. Pay your bills. Banks, who so heavily promote indebtedness, may be no different from drug pushers, but if you enter into the contract, pay your dang bills.
