The gradual revolution of the Fabian Socialists is quickly becoming a reality in America. by Republicae

The Fabian Society began in England in 1887 by a very small group of elitist socialist that sought to reform society gradually into one of socialism instead of through violent revolution. At first their purpose was to be an alternative in Britain for the more dominate Marxist Social-Democratic Federation, but their true goal was to accomplish socialism through a very gradual process using the voting booth and representative democracy as their instrument of change. In fact, one of their symbols is a Turtle with the motto: "When I Strike, I Strike Hard". Another symbol is the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing and the Globe on an Anvil being hammered into the Fabian model.
The Fabian Plan for gradual Socialist Revolution was as definitive as it possibly could be, to say it has been a conspiracy is simplistic in the extreme. It instituted a widespread educational program for its leadership and its minions, as time progressed, it opened schools, such as the London School of Economics, and the New School of Social Research.
One stroke of genius was that instead of advocating a Socialist State, they assisted in the implementation of the Welfare State, which as we should all know is merely a few steps away from a purely Socialistic State. It was, of course, implemented gradually, and played upon the weaknesses of human nature to gain popularity. Unlike the usual Socialist points of views, the Fabians didn't advocate complete State ownership of businesses, industry, agriculture or land, instead they sought to involve the State into very specific areas of importance such as electric power production, transportation, precious metals and of course, credit. The remaining balance of economic systems would be left to the private sector however; it would be highly regulated by the State and operated according to the wishes of the State.
If you look at Britain, you will see that they accomplished their goals with ease and while American has been more difficult, the goals are the same and they have made enormous advances toward those goals, as we all know. Much of their accomplishments have been realized without using that dreaded word: Socialism. They have brought the Fabian Dream to America through an extremely brilliant system that has been openly accepted by the voters of this country without the hint of suspicion on their part that they were voting a Socialistic system into place.
Now, make no mistake about it, Fabian Socialists are Statist, they are absolutely authoritarian in their philosophy. Their long-term goal has always been a Socialistic Dictatorship with full-imposition of a very legalistic society where the individual is simply a part of the collective. An example of this can be found in the writings of one of the founders of the Fabian Society, George Bernard Shaw speaking of the Socialist Utopia, he said: "Under Socialism, you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not the character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner; but whilst you were permitted to live, you would have to live well."
Of course, all of this would be in the best interest of society as a whole and the whole made up simply of parts, individuals merely cogs in the machine of social justice. This idea of social justice is the biggest selling point and perhaps the easiest to peddle to the people. Programs of social reform, incremental at first, allowed for the tempering of the people; allowing for them to grow accustom to the intervention of the State in the affairs of the individual. Of course, such reforms are never an end unto themselves only stepping-stones to a greater Socialist construct of society.
Regarding the great strides made toward these goals, Max Beer stated with confidence: "There was no reason for Socialists to wait for revolution. The realization of socialism had begun the moment when the State became accessible to social reform ideas." Indeed, the revolution was already half realized at the moment when the State stepped over the threshold of progressive social construction and intervention into the private lives of the people.
The first step in any Socialist plan is the reform of capitalism, when the capitalist system is sufficiently neutralized the rest comes relatively easy. The first step to an efficient plan of capitalist neutralization is control over the money supply and for that a central bank is required along with a fiat monetary system, in this country that was initiated with the advent of the Federal Reserve. Later, of course must come effective controls over major infrastructure and services, all accomplished through the New Deal. The New Deal accomplished substantial feats toward the Fabian Socialist construct with numerous price controls, quotas, subsidies, inspections, regulations, licenses, fees, penalties and massive government interventions into what was formerly private enterprise. Although you would never hear politicians of either political party to admit to support the ideals of socialism, they nevertheless not only support such measures, but also promote them.
We have recently seen a greater push toward socialism, though few realize it. The government is assuming more and more responsibility for and authority over the economy, all under the guise of protecting the people from potentially unscrupulous free marketeers. We are being moved yet another step closer to the dream-society of the Fabians. Of course, these are simply steps, essential parts to a much broader agenda, one that is authoritarian in nature and execution, even the centrally planned economy is a mere step, not the end product. It is all carefully crafted, manufactured to ensure the most popular support possible for "people-friendly" solutions while instituting a fraudulent system of central control over the unsuspecting public. The system has been marketed to the public, one specific component at a time, each component essential to the completion of the whole and that is the brilliance of this gradual imposition of Fabian Socialism in this country.
The greatest bulwark against tyranny in America has always been the system of private ownership and free enterprise, it is the cornerstone of our system of government and without it our freedoms and liberty are in jeopardy. Central economic planning is, in a very basic sense, the keystone to Fabian Socialism, for in order for it to succeed, central State planning and control must replace the system of free enterprise. While it was not necessary for the State to actually own or directly control all the elements in the economy it is enough for the State to have the right to assert itself in any area that it deems necessary. The Fabians called it "the democratization of economic power", in other words socialized and centralized control over economic direction within the country.
In 1942, Stuart Chase, in his book "The Road We Are Traveling" spelled out the system of planning the Fabians had in mind; the interesting thing is to look at that plan in comparison to 2008 America.
1. Strong, centralized government.
2. Powerful Executive at the expense of Congress and the Judicial.
3. Government controlled banking, credit and securities exchange.
4. Government control over employment.
5. Unemployment insurance, old age pensions.
6. Universal medical care, food and housing programs.
7. Access to unlimited government borrowing.
8. A managed monetary system.
9. Government control over foreign trade.
10. Government control over natural energy sources, transportation and agricultural production.
11. Government regulation of labor.
12. Youth camps devoted to health discipline, community service and ideological teaching consistent with those of the authorities.
13. Heavy progressive taxation.
It should be evident that while Socialist no longer use the name that the plan is Socialism at its heart. The Fabian Socialist Revolution began in earnest in this country in 1933 with the imposition of the Welfare State and has been steadily progressing since. Those who are promoting this system, whether in the Republican Party or Democratic Party, are nothing less than Traitors, guilty of a type of high treason that deserves the most punitive penalty for such treachery. Listen carefully to the propositions of both McCain and Obama; I suspect that you will quickly find both of their positions are not only similar, but propose in essence and detail the Fabian Socialist construct. The system that these marauders are imposing upon us will ultimately alter our system of government beyond recognition.
It is all accomplished with the utmost respectability of course, they would not dream of such an imposition without popular support and they will make sure that they have popular support.
In 1933, they proposed that private enterprise had failed leaving the jobless to starve, hope to fade and that the State must step in to save the country and protect the people from the dangers associated with the inherent problems of free enterprise. Today, the call is very similar, the State must step in to protect the people. The Corporate State is, in the minds of Fabians, the ultimate protector of the common man, the provider of security on all fronts, but it requires our complete compliance and the relinquishment of our liberty in exchange. The State is to ultimately be the only one allowed wealth, the problem is that wealth is the people's wealth confiscated in exchange for their hard labor. It is, in essence, a plan for a modern feudal society of peonage and the people are the peons.

interesting. Obama's speeches are especially delivered with an oily tongue, but recently they are just screaming Socialist!!! to anyone whose brain is still working.
i already tried to convince you to put together your writings into a pdf or pamphlet, so I won't try again :)
Thanks Jake, yeah Obama and McCain are essentially pushing the same program, just with emphasis on different details. The goal is the same no matter which one ends up in the Oval Office: Government of the State, by the State and for the State!
Yeah, I should gather all my writings into one volume, but I still have a ways to go before I am ready for that step, but thanks for the encouragement...it's appreciated!

Good article. You neglected to mention an essential facet of the socialist revolution. This is the side that works for socialism while claiming to work for freedom. It is led by the George Bushes and the John McCains of the world. They are actually worse than the Obamas because they delude people who believe in liberty but aren't necessarily able to see through the veil of their smoke and mirror acts into supporting greater levels of socialism. Their motto is Freedom Through Strength, which always translates in the long run into less liberty and greater protectionism.
I agree Walt, the Neo-Cons, a branch of the Trotskites who had formerly infiltrated the Democratic Party in the 40's and 50's changed Party affiliation during the late 60's and early 70's. I could have indeed gone into depth about Leo Strauss and his rabid ideology of Trotsky's Continual Revolution and how that has posed a huge threat to our country. The major differences is technique, the RED Neo-Con Trotskites are bold and brash while their RED Fabian cousins are far more subtle in their approach. I consider them all TRAITORS to the Republic!

Yes, exactly Republicae, although Republican brashness is expressed in terms of patriotism and argues for incremental changes away from liberty, which means their approach is similar to the Fabians even if their rhetoric is different. Also, there is very little doubt that they have similarly worked to build the Welfare State while claiming every step of the way that they were against it. In essence, the Democrats have been more honest about their intentions, the Republicans have been dishonest, and both have been working to build the Socialist dream. Too bad that dream is a nightmare.
Totally agree with you guys. Democrats are very open about their socialist goals, only the vast majority of the people are too stupid to realize it. I don't believe most Republicans in our government realize what it is that they are doing. They vote the way their aides and their leaders tell them. Its the leaders of the Republican Party who are the hardcore globalists that need to be watched. Overall I believe we as a nation are doomed.
"The corner stone of Fabian economic theory became the Ricardian law of rent. Ricardo had demonstrated that the wealth of landlords arose from their monopoly of the soil and from the differences in the productive value of different pieces of land, which enabled the landlord to skim off as rent the difference between the yield of his piece of land and that of the least productive piece in cultivation or use. The Fabians, following up hints in earlier writers, developed this theory of rent to apply not to land only but also to capital and to personal ability. They considered large incomes to be chiefly rents arising from the possession of differential monopolies and maintained that these rents belonged properly not to the monopolists but to the community as a whole. The economic problem was thus presented as a question of the socialization of monopoly incomes through social ownership of the monopolies."
- From the Encyclopaedia of the Social Sciences, ed. Edwin R. A. Seligman, 1932
The social control over distribution of wealth and private property will greatly reduce prosperity for the general populace. This is very worrisome.

Wow! You make socialism look sooooooooooooooooooo EVIL! You forget to mention that capitalism run amuck is as destructive as Communism ever was. Why? Because corporations are far more like oppressive governments than like individuals, thus granting them property rights without regulation or restraint by another agency, such as a government, denies the idea of checks and balances that the Founding Fathers of America beleived in and allows for economic tyranny, which is no better than political tyranny. It was a HUGE mistake to EVER grant to corporations as legal entities the same rights to property as individuals and that's what made capitalism the kind of monster Karl Marx condemned. If we restrict property rights to individuals and deny corporations a right to exist, we will end the absurd accumulation of wealth and power by an elitist few that makes lassez-faire capitalism no better than Communism in its ultimate outcome.
You miss the essential point that laissez faire capitalism is about no govt involvement. Corporations are & have always been creations of & extensions of the govt.It is the govt run wild that is causing our problems, capitalism has been dead for a while now.
This article points out, possibly without the author knowing it, that fascism is were we're going. As Mussolini put it, "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power."
Dale… Laissez-Faire, free market capitalism began to come under assault during the Lincoln Administration. In fact, if you are interested enough to research the matter you will find that not only were there numerous Marxist appointed to high rank in the Union Army, but that the Marxist of the failed 1848 Revolution were fervent supporters of Lincoln. Lincoln also found a fan in the person of Karl Marx, who praised the policies of Lincoln on more than one occasion, including in his letters to Lincoln. Lincoln’s polices were basically that of Mercantilism, another name for Corporatism or as Darren pointed out Fascism.
The rise of the Corporate State had nothing to do with Laissez-Faire Capitalism and much more to do with government favoritism that came by the way of monopolies, which are little more than government charted corporations that are politically connected. My contention therefore, is that capitalism is not the culprit, but the victim of an ideology that has permeated our government and our society that allows for the expansion of The State, with the close relationship of favored and politically connected businesses.
Yes, you are right about the Fabian Society. I accidentally came across this group in 1968 while trying to find out where the CIA got the money to organize and support Air America in Vietnam. The money trail led to to David Rockerfeller and the Council on Foreign Relations, this in turn led to the Trilateral Commission, the Fabian Society. Bilderburg Society, the Aluminati, and American Malvern. All dedicated to a World Government.
Excellent article and excellent comments. I just came accross this article and other related materials from a friend of mine in an e-mail discussion about the corruption of Family Law in these United States. Yes, that's what I said, Family Law.
Just when the government was failing on other areas to take total control of its citizens (e.g.; forced racial integration through school bussing), they used neurolinguistic programming to seduce the general public into destroying the American Family, with agencies and terms like "Child Protective Services" and "Domestic Violence Coalition". Dr. Stephen Baskerville, in his book, "Taken Into Custody" uses the phrase Kafkaesque to describe the Family Court system which is based on fines, fees and delay. Read Franz Kafka's "The Trial" and you will see the connection.
I've come to the conclusion, in the last few years, that this is neither a Republican and Democratic agenda. They both want total control of the citizentry. Where they differ is their methods. And that, my friends, is what we vote on -- the Democratic Poison or the Republican Poison.
Some who are new to this concept and this awareness think that this is all nothing more than paraniods and conspiracy theorists. But until you've been dragged through a system, such as Family Court, then you realize how true this is. And the sad part is how obvious this is when we look at a national divorce rate of over 50%, yet we don't investigate this. Instead we investigate the "epidemics" of home forclosure, swine flu and AIDS to name a few. There is no national TV coverage of the Family Crisis in America through the Family Court System. They only report on the fallout of "broken" homes, such as university shootings, not on the cause of "broken" homes, which is the For-Profit divorce industry. This industry thrives on introducing divorce into families where there are minor children, so that state governments can make Title IV-D money.
Wake up, America, before it is too late. This move toward Socialism is no laughing matter, it has been going on far longer than most Americans realize. We as a citizenry must demand that our government return to The U.S. Constitution as the basis for actions, and not hidden agendas that are kept from the public. If we, the People, don't act now, it will be too late. Our civil liberties are slowly (or not so slowly) being eroded, on a daily basis. We pay more and more taxes, and for what? More Socialistic programs that benefit people who never paid a dime of taxes in their life, sit home on their butts and wait each month for that welfare check. THAT, people, is what it's all about. Hard-working people of the U.S. are being robbed of the benefits of their hard work to support an elite group of power-mongers, who toss a few crumbs to the poor and expect the working people of this nation to support it all financially. If you think I am wrong, take a good look at your pay deduction next payday. Where is one third of your income going? And more importantly, what are you receiving for that one third that is taken from you directly? We need to halt this slow erosion of America into a Socialist state, and we need to halt it NOW!!
Don't ever let up Jane, you have to get through to whoever you can. I'm from England (home of the Fabians) and our country is now on the brink of becoming a third world country. We have a ruling elite that are fond of announcing our recovery, all 0.1% per cent of it, while sitting in their exclusive clubs surrounded by bankers and Media cronies. There is NO alternative voice here.
The upshot is that we are finished. The European beast will devour wha's left of our nation before too long and at a monetary exchange that will benefit anyone but the people of England.
This leaves the USA. God bless you and keep up the good work!
\"You forget to mention that capitalism run amuck is as destructive as Communism ever was. Why? But you fail to see that monopoly, corporate capitalism it not capitalism at all, but Communism (or Fascism if you wish) in disguise. The best characteristic of capitalism is competition, and the goal of monopoly capitalism is to destroy competition.
Keep in mind that the guy who said \"competition is a sin,\" was not Marx, Lenin, Mao or Che Guevara, but John D, Rockefeller.
So, if Communism is the state controlling the corporations and Fascism is the corporations controlling the state, the best way to avoid Communism and Fascism is by eliminating the corporations.
Here in Britain, the Fabian program is so far advanced, it is difficult to hear on the T.V. or read in the newspapers any views that would challenge an essential socialist / statist view of the world. Most British people believe to some extent that big government is benign, and are at the least partly socialist in their views, due to over 100 years of state education.
In Britain over the last 10 years, the socialist state has made very great advances through very high public debt and massive increases in government spending, most of which has been wasteful and the money squandered. The British socialists have used this high debt and high spending to try and neutralize any remaining opposition to their long term aims – in effect, they have used tax payers money against the tax payers own interests.
I believe that many Americans may admire Tony Blair our ex-Prime Minister – but understand this: he was a main agent in furthering the socialist aims.To many of us Brits, he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
I have been quite shocked that I have indeed had the wool pulled over my eyes. One thing that you might have included is the Fabian doctrine of the inevitability of gradualism. The turtle is the perfect symbol for this doctrine.
I understand that the Fabian's ultimate desire is a one world socialist government. I also understand the means, but what is the ends. What does a one world socialist government provide that any other government can't. Equality among us mortals? I think not. It is precisely the opposite. It is the socialist through eugenics, welfare, war on the private sector, war on religion etc. that smacks the face of equality somehow in the name of said equality. Is it not the ultimate agenda of the socialist to form a one world government excluding one nation - Israel, by the way the only democracy that would be left ,in order to incite the whole world against them. Ultimately how could the United States defend Israel anymore, as if we really do anymore anyway, if we are a part of this one world union. Its not about America or Israel or Equality or anything besides a hatred for God Almighty. Its evil vs. good. The devil has been defeated and now his only objective is to take as many of us with him as he can. His henchmen are all around us. Some know their role very well. Others are as Stalin put it, "useful idiots." Our greatest defense is knowing which side we are on.

this country has been hijacked by a bunch of evil men and women. Only those of us who still believe in virtue and freedom can hopefully pass the message to others to help restore this once great nation back to its rightful place. A nation of freedom and prosperity otherwise God will eliminate us under divine discipline due to our consumption of pure evil.
I am a poor deluded person who believes America can blend socialism and capitalism so enlighten me. You spend the wholee article speaking of the horrors of a government that works for its citizens, So tell me, what do you want? How should the U.S. be run? What are your goals for a successful America? I know you'll have to spend some time insulting my intelligence and my patriotism, and that's fine. But I am very curious to hear your views of a positive America..
This is proof that Obama is an unadulterated Fabian Socialist, you took the words right out of the horse's mouth. We need to get him out of office along with any other politician Democrat or Republican whose viewpoints are identical to the ideas expressed here.
Your article really impressed me with the great boon Fabian Socialism can provide Aamerica. Except for the scare tactics added on that list of yours, you made a great case for Socialistic ideas.
Unregulated Capitalism isn't working. The powerful, strong, aggressive people who want to run the world and our country are running amok. Taking and taking and taking from the rest of us who only want a decent job, healthcare that doesn't depend on employers, vacation time, sick leave, etc.
Instead of attacking people who want to compromise and make a blended system of government that has social security for retiring people, healthcare that doesn't leave you in the lurch when you need it the most. Instead of blindly attacking people who seek compromise, make the system work. Capitalistic ideas and Socialistic ideas can work together. Socialism isn't going to take over America, any more than Capitalism. Climb down out of your tree and stop with the dire predictions. Join us and let's make our country better.
We will be slaves of men or willing servant-sons of the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ-no other 'government' option exists. We all need the courage to take the step to face that truth-then this will lay the practical foundation for governing mankind. Noah Webster-my paraphrase. During the Nuremberg Trials, one horrifying revelation to an observer was that he realized he, as a man, was capable of the same atrocities for which the Nazis were on trial. In the Gulags,
Alexander Solzhenitsyn said they were all guilty, whether or not it was their stated crime-he faced that truth and in that revelation he sought and found a new Government.
