Barack Obama's Blue Collar Problem Barack Obama's potential problem with the blue collar worker is caused by ignorance.by Frogboy25

I was in the office of a Long Island, NY Tree Care Company today, and before a business meeting, politics reared its ugly head! The candidacy of Barack Obama was discussed and I heard some of the most vitriolic talk regarding race and religion, that I had heard in some 40 years!
Strangly, as I brought up some of the reasons that I find Obama a credible candidate, I heard people say that they would not vote for a Muslim and that a Muslim would bring destruction to America.
There has been enough information in the press to show that Obama is a practicing Christian and has been for years, yet these business people, whom I have found to be literate, are massively mis-informed.
The biggest danger to a successful Obama compaign are these mis-found conceptions. A Clinton aide in Iowa has just lost their job because of erroneous e-mails sent to Democrats in Iowa.
The Obama compaign needs to attend to these issues as soon as possible. He needs to continue to strees his Christianity and his American values. He needs to continue to stress that he is a new concept in American Politics, and that he will represent the disenfranchised better than any politician since FDR.
His new ally Oprah Winfrey, will be of some limited help, but he needs to disassociate himself from her shortly, in order to remain his own man.
I have heard much discussion on the electability issue on the national level. How Hillary Clinton has the best chance of defeating the Republicans. I digress. I think that she is in the best position to loose an election that cannot be lost.
The anti-Hillary feeling of the average blue collar worker has not surfaced. This discourse is not noted by the fifth estate, but it is real and massive and cannot be discounted.
Until next time.
PS Its great to be a Liberal on a Libertarian Internet Paper, lets have fun together.

Hi Frogboy. Welcome to the Nolan Chart! I look forward to seeing more of your articles. We haven't had enough liberal contributors lately, and I'm hoping your article will help spur others to participate and contribute.
If Frogboy really were a liberal he would be pointing out how stupid it is to believe popular propaganda that "Muslim president" equals "destruction upon the U.S." and discussing ways to defeat that false notion.
