Un-Crashing the Party, Part 2 - Monkeywrench

You know when you've got a political movement that is growing in popularity. Big Brother sends in his henchmen to recklessly sling lies about your party.

Despite the efforts of the powers-that-be, Liberty, the Libertarian Party, and Libertarianism have become household words. That sends a chill down the spine of those who "earn" their livelihood patting us on the head while explaining what good little slaves we need to continue to be, and to never forget when the time comes, to sacrifice our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in tribute to the state.

Americans everywhere now know that we got the goods. We have what it takes to dig America out of this mess. Of course that means prying many otherwise unemployable government employees off the rancid teat of Leviathan. Certainly this they will not stand, as they have a pretty cushy gig going for themselves.

They even had the nerve to send one of their bumblers this way to try to upset the apple cart. Sadly for him no fruit has been bumped from the cart. He's so obvious that his name doesn't even need to be mentioned, just look for the slime trail this slug leaves behind him. I suppose it really is hard to get any actual good help these days.

They wish to monkeywrench the works, plain and simple. What they haven't banked on is that Libertarians aren't your garden variety pop culture obsessed zombies that in true robot form, flip the levers at the voting booth that have a "D" or an "R" in front of the names. With fewer exceptions than they'd like us to have, we tend to look at the world with our eyes wide open. Think: Once bitten and twice shy. Take heart L.P. members, we will take the party back from those who steered it off track.

They've even stooped to picking fake Libertarians like Bob Barr and Sonny Landham or other unqualified candidates to represent us in elections. The good news is that the party faithful wised up after the meltdown at the national convention in Denver this year and yanked this wolf in sheep's clothing, Landham's endorsement for his intentional (and equally transparent) public embarrassment stunt against the L.P. His pro-war and racist remarks are entirely inconsistent with that of the party of freedom and Liberty and are therefore repugnant enough in the name of good taste, to exclude from this article.

It's almost comical to see their tax funded stooges scurry about, mistakenly believing themselves to be invisible and their lurid activities undetectable to even the untrained eye. Will they ever learn? We did.

With Liberty,

Dan Steward

Another blog deserving a thumbs down. I think you give this amorphous concept of big brother far to much credit. You write as if there is some omnipresent intellegence other then the two dominant political parties. We have Congressman Barr as our candidate because he managed to get the a large number of  deligates to the convention and then managed to convince enough others that he was the best candidate for this election cycle. Get over it. Stop blaiming others. Start organizing! We get another shot in four years. In the mean time we are where we are. We will play this hand other then those who obviously just want to FOLD!
