Wake Up Americans!

I submit to you that this current administration, and the rich bankers, statists, and oilmen who own and operate it are enemies to our Constitution. They hate the true principles of our Constitution because it stand at odds with their hunger for power and money. They fear us, We the People, because should we rise up and hold them accountable to what the founding fathers so eloquently spelled out in theConstitution, all would be lost for them.

A blind nationalist who believes his government can do no wrong is a dangerous animal, and the bane of those who love true freedom.  A patriot questions, and holds his government accountable to the governed. He defends his freedom and the Constitution from enemies, foreign and domestic, as I swore to do when I joined the military.

It is a travesty that laws have been allowed to pass which are in direct conflict with our basic precepts of freedom and liberty. Rights and liberties "endowed by our creator" would now seem to be allowed at the pleasure and discretion of our government, or restricted for our own safety. All of this while at the same time, our president preaches about bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq and the Middle East.

A truly free Iraq would be allowed to choose for itself, without any outside influence. How can freedom be imposed or forced on a people?  Our founding fathers took freedom, declared independence, and they fought to keep it. They wrested control of their lives and their country, and did it without having to be told to do it.  If human beings are innately free, by God's grace, then shouldn't Iraq be left alone to build the country it wants? I sometimes wonder if Mr. Bush and his cabinet really know the meaning of the word"freedom".

The greedy, fascist neo-cons and spineless, impotent liberals in our government, under pressure from special interests, bankers, and big business, chip away at our freedoms little by little in the name of national security.  They fuel a perpetual war and spread fear in order to maintain control. The sad fact is, we Americans have allowed it to happen. Have we gotten so apathetic, so dumbed down, so complacent, so distracted by unimportant garbage that we no longer care about what freedom and liberty really are? Do many people even know that the words truly mean anymore? Are we a nation of sheep? Washington, Jackson, Franklin, Hamilton...they're rolling over in their graves right now.

The actions of our government have usurped our freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  They have overstepped their constitutional restraints and violated the very spirit a free society. Please take heed my friends. We as a people have allowed this to happen through apathy, complacence, and ignorance. If experience is the best teacher, look to history asa guide to our future. It is our duty to question government actions and hold them accountable to us. The People govern the government.

WAKE UP AMERICANS!!! It doesn't matter what race, color, creed,  or sex you are. Freedom is the same for us all, and it is getting taken away from us all. The bigger government gets, the more it spends, the less freedom we have. Don't forget that the government is supposed to be "of the people, by the people and for the people." It's not yet too far gone that we can't take it back.

One twig, if bent, will break. But a bundle of twigs bound together may bend, but they won't break. Each twig adds its strength to the bundle. Every citizen is but only a twig. By himself, he doesn't have much strength. But, if citizens get together in a common bond, each adds strength to the group. And with the strength of that group comes power to change what is wrong with our government and our country today. It is still ours, but not for long if we keep ceding our authority over the government.

It is time to get back to basics. It is time for a leader who believes in the principals of our Constitution, who still believes of the Peoples' authority over its government. We need a person who believes in limited government, low and legal taxes, who is against illegal wars and getting involved in the internal affairs of other nations.  Most importanty we as individuals, and as citizens of the United States must take back our nation and place government back where it belongs:  in the hands of the People.

Don't just take my word for it. It is for you to decide what you are: Blind Nationalist or True Patriot. Do your own research, ask your own questions, and reach your own conclusions. The internet is a treasure trove of information from all sides of an issue.  If nothing less, it is my hope you've seen how current events and the actions of our "leaders" truly affect us as a free people.  Good Luck and God Bless America.
