Ron Paul's Revolution Wrecking ball vs Big Government Apologists

A Critique of the stupidities mouthed (but not understood) by smear-attack amatuer, Joe Wendt, in his article "The Evil That is Ron Paul"
by Nickalis N. Tower
(libertarian)
Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Conservatives should get back to obeying the Constitution, and not send out attack non-artists, such as Mr. Wendt, in his laughable article, "The Evil That is Ron Paul".

I would like to recommend that any Ron Paul attack begin by defining terms. To call someone evil is to sit in serious moral judgment on a man's character.

Well, at least if you're a christian and you believe in good and evil. A hindu would laugh at Mr. Wendt's supposed "evidence" as reasons demonstrating Dr. Paul's supposed evil.

I'm not even a hindu, and I laughed at Joe Wendt's 'reasons'.

1. "He opposed federally funded flood insurance."

MY COMMENT : Dr. Paul says that clause 1, section 8 grants the legislature no power to give certain people such benefits, at the expense of his neighbors.

2. "He supports pork-barrel earmarks, such as Texas shrimp promotion."

MY COMMENT : In his newest book "The Revolution: A Manifesto", which Mr. Wendt didn't read - or is pretending he hasn't read - Ron Paul says 1) that the amount in so-called pork-barrel earmarks is about 0.01% of the federal government budget, and Dr. Paul has bigger shrimp to fry (such our annual trillion dollars spent for U.S. Foreign Empire maintenance, ala the budget-busting Roman Republic), and 2) He says Texans have the right to get some of their federal tax loot back, and 3) He says if the legislature doesn't claim the money via so-called earmarks, then the EXECUTIVE bureaucrats would get to disburse the dollars... that means the premise of the earmark argument is false: that we could actually 'save money' by eliminating them (the way the laws are currently written).

3. He helps senior citizens obtain free/low-cost prescription drugs through a drug company program, even though he votes against government programs that would do the same thing.

MY COMMENT : This is where I had to laugh at the ridiculous notion of calling someone evil for helping a senior citizen!!

4. Claims to be a loyal Rebublican, yet undermines the GOP nominee and works to undermine party efforts for a GOP victory.

MY COMMENT : Ron Paul isn't loyal to anyone.  He makes up his own damn mind.  Back a few decades ago, before the bogus politicized "civil rights" movement, Americans who had pride in their own lives and hope for their own futures used to think for themselves, as Dr. Paul does.  Dr. Paul toes no partisan lines.  The integrity of his voting record, as a reflection of his values, is unparalled in the modern era (e.g. the liberal fascist era) of the U.S. Congress.  That's why lobbyists never bother him on capitol hill - they can't buy him!!

5. Supports pirating/privateering via a letter of marque and reprisal; a letter that essentially authorizes to commit such acts.

MY COMMENT : Ever hear of a bounty hunter?  If I initiate force against you, you have the full right to hire someone to capture me and bring me to you, in the hopes that you could find restitution.  There is no restitution possible for Bin Laden and his gang - it's an air-to-surface suppository for those murdering thugs.

6. Claims to be against inflation and for economic growth, yet support the gold standard; a form of currency with a history of contributing to economic depression and subject to inflation.

MY COMMENT : Mr. Wendt should at least get a proper history of gold under his belt, before he starts parroting this nonsense.  I recommend Richard M. Salsman's small book, "Gold and Liberty".

7. Has essentially created a political cult, similar yet larger then that of Lyndon LaRouche.

MY COMMENT : And you have essentially established your reputation as an amatuer smear-attacker with this one.  Blanketing very intelligent Ron Paul supporters who hold real jobs, have to support real families, and have a genuine concern for their future, for their children, and (sometimes) for their country - as long as it recognizes Individual Rights.

In summary, Ron Paul has fought against big government for 10 terms in the U.S. Congress.  It's either "big government" or "us with freedom and property", but the fact is Americans can't have it both ways.

America as a whole is a 45-50% socialist nation, with regard to hidden and overt middle-class taxes.  How far under do you want to place our heads, Mr. Wendt?

How far will dishonest people go to make the good appear evil, and the evil appear good?

Mr. Wendt is willing to be a 'loyal Republican'.  Go home, and play your game of 'Monopoly' game, Mr. Wendt.  And when you go to bed, try and convince yourself that it's only just a game, and that you can have big Nanny / Papa government at everyone's beck and call.

Ron Paul will be fighting for your right to say anything and make a fool of yourself in public... he's actually 'evil' enough to approve of verbal bomb throwers, like Mr. Wendt.  Well, in truth, he doesn't approve of them; he simply ignores the pipsqueaks.

I support your right to say what you wish too, Mr. Wendt, but couldn't sit by and let you get away with this garbage.  Someone had to step up and throw these tired arguments into the trash bin of history.

Welcome to the dawn of a Ron Paul admirer's world.

Well put, Mr. Flint.

Some people, like Mr. Wendt, don't have any reading comprehension or critical thinking skills,  and thus are prone to grossly misunderstanding the libertarian perspective. Thank you for speaking up and setting the record straight.

i realize a lot (lot, lot) of people do not agree with Mr. Wendt- i'm one of them. but even though his arguments can be easily disproven, i don't suppose we have to be so mean about it...

the whole idea behind a libertarian is to point your finger in the right direction, and let them decide if they want to go that way, right?

Libertarians think they are "right"...the only ones that are "right".  Does anyone realize how wrong that is?

I find it funny that most Ron Paul supporters would be the ones to accuse other people of being "sheep" while they chant, wear the same clothing, and raise up the same signs.    They've become a cult.... who really are the "sheep" now?

Some people lack the capacity to comprehend that Ron Paul's policies are not only visionary and logical, but based on his total adherence to the Constitution. This lack of capacity is due to either lower intelligence, ulterior motive or deliberate denial.

Such people are threatened by the "thinking-outside-the-box" vision and insight that Ron Paul and his supporters possess.  These people also lack the curiosity and intelligence to question what they have been told. They are immersed in the insanity of repeating the same failures over and over, while expecting different results. By not having learned anything from their past mistakes, they exhibit a marked lack of intelligence.

I would suggest Wendt first start with looking up the word "evil" in the dictionary before he wastes his time and others writing such laughable "conspiracy theories" about our good, wise, kind-hearted and always-right-on-the-money Dr. Ron Paul!

Libertarians are clueless (LAC)

I would have to disagree with you that all LIBERTARIANS think they are always right, but I truly believe that LIBERTARIANS have a better idea of what RIGHT looks like than the Republicans (fascists) and the Democrats (socialists). LIBERTARIANS (freedomphiles) understand that the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land in our beloved REPUBLIC. We understand that the Constitution is made to limit the government. We understand that man can effectively rule himself, and we also understand that our current government cares not for that "damned piece of paper"

If screaming and yelling for OUR (that includes you too) FREEDOM and DEMANDING that our servant government follow the rules/social contract with We the People is cultish, then guilty as charged.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude then the animated contest of FREEDOM, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands that feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen"- Sam Adams
