This column provides a glimpse of what that briefing may look like, being broadcast to all nations.by Gary Wood

There's truly a buzz as the Iraqi National Congress eagerly prepares for the final out briefing by the U.S. leadership. It's been a long road leading to this day. Iran is being neighborly with Iranian Rial flowing into the country while Iraqi Dinar are moving east. People everywhere are optimistic as the nation's security seems to be steady with Iraq firmly in control of keeping the streets safe for commerce to flow. Much of the good things are tied to the United States' efforts over the past 7 years. Choosing March 20th, 2010 for this briefing is just.
Preparing to take the lectern is Secretary of State, former Senator, Chuck Hagel. Part of the briefing will include a review of the contents of a special gift box for each person in attendance. As the boxes were being handed out people began to scan the following;
Chuck Hagel takes a sip of water, clears his throat, and approaches the microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen before you is our parting gift for you and this grand country. You now possess a sound blueprint for developing a nation, we believe the model may fit your situation well yet that is purely your decision." ...another small sip, "Bear in mind we don't follow this blueprint ourselves, however it was one we've used in the past which may prove applicable for your future."
Hagel relinquished the microphone to General Patraeus. "First you'll find a copy of the original version of our first ratified constitution, of which we still swear an oath to uphold these many decades since. Everything found within your gift box will help begin an exploration, a journey, for Iraq. This form of government is termed a Federalist Republic. It works well when the people, at the most local of levels, are given authority and responsibility for ruling their nation. States, representing a collection of geographic neighborhoods, are the foundation of the country's government. You may consider three states representing each honored tribe."
Holding up de Tocqueville's book he explains, "This gives you a glimpse into the height a Federalist Republic can reach in relatively few years. Again, we are not using this governing blueprint today but we do have historians you are welcome to contact for insight. You know how to reach us if we can help you along the way. May you experience a windfall of success."
As the briefing ended most of the Iraqi National Congress members busied themselves flipping through the books while talking about what they were reading. Plans began to form and the farewell gala would prove fertile ground for earnest commitments to establish a constitution while beginning the work of infrastructure improvements.

I think you have a good idea, but to the wrong people. A box set would be great graduation presents for high schoolers, who will have to take care this country some day.
