It seems that Jahfre, in his recent popular article "Ron Paul Scares the Hell Out of Me" is one of those unfortunate Americans living in fear.
In fact, it seems like many Ron Paul supporters are, and it's so unecessary... don't they understand: THAT'S WHAT THE ESTABLISHMENT BIG GOVERNMENT bureucrats and power-seeking politicians want them to feel?
You may not be in fear of government, but you should be more than a little angry or indignant that you are being manipulated into fear for THEIR BIG GOVERNMENT PLANS...
Now take a deep breath and tell yourself: "I can have a brighter future. My kids can live in a free country. We can make it. America can survive this coming economic disaster known as fiat currency." Now relax for a moment, and realize, we aren't cats in a corner just yet.
Remember this, that fear blocks your thinking. Self confidence reduces your fear. You need some confidence that your future can be better instead of worse. If you don't have a productive career at this point, I'd suggest you learn to become a hard worker. Really fast. That's 100 times better than squirreling gold and silver at this point.
The fears against fiat currency and our current method of financing the American economy are justified. Ron Paul's solution is don't buy things on the 'government credit card' and charge it to your kids and under your kids' names, using the debt-instruments we use today. Re-introduce commodity-backed money. The solution is simple, but the public at the local county level doesn't have an integrated understanding of how the Fed has been f*cking middle-class Americans for 95 years, and will destroy it shortly. You think they don't mean to destroy the middle class? Only time will tell. It's Marxist-Leninists versus Neo-Cons, and I know about the former, just still unsure about the latter (but much more hopeful they'll come to their senses).
For us Ron Paul supporters that want to eliminate the Federal Reserve system ASAP, I have devised an easy single-person battle plan to fight (and win against) that which we all fear the most: The Federal Reserve monopolists and a fiat money disaster.
If you want to abate your fears and fight for our future of liberty, freedom, prosperity, and peace - in other words, to finish the Moral Revolution that Ron Paul started - then copy, modify and send the letter below to your local newspaper editor, and try to get it in to them before your local primary elections. If you don't know when your local county primary elections are, then you should stop complaining about Ron Paul losing his battle in 2008, because you my friend, are not helping us win this war for liberty.
:: begin letter ::
Dear Editor,
Our County suffers from the same problem America suffers at the Federal level: our future is at the whims of the local banking monopolists. To quote one of America’s wisest founders: "Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes… or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." The facts are that ‘institutional investors’ make ‘big loans’ for ‘big projects’, such as the prior [90+ million dollar bonds issued for ‘improvements’ to Saline] County schools.
(substitute your own local school bond issues for the prior bracketed text, and remove this text)
The other fact is that the Federal Reserve creates that ‘money’ out of thin air. Which means every time we publicly fund any project – [such as an unecessary 8+ million dollar pool, or an unnecessary multi-million dollar Bicentennial Center replacement] (substitute your current county / city proposed big budget issues, and remove this text) - we are causing inflation, which means, we are reducing the value of our own savings and destroying the financial future of my generation (Generation X, individuals in their 30s), and future generations (the up and coming Gen-Y youth).
The other fact is that THE REASON THE COUNTY TAXES DON’T GO DOWN is because those bonds must be paid back in full to those ‘institutional investors’, thus even with personnel layoffs, the taxes are still taken from our hides until the ‘bonds come home’ to the bankers’ pockets.
I don’t blame our [county commission X, city commissioner Y, mayor z] (name your district county or city commissioner by name here, if you wish, then remove this text) for not understanding what the financial ‘gurus’ tell them. I don’t even blame the friendly local bank personnel, who are all simply pursuing their own innocent careers, much like our friendly local government personnel do, while in complete ignorance of the financial facts.
For creating our ever-growing local city and county government, I lay the blame for our financial wrecking at the hands of the Federal Reserve banking monopoly. You thought the game ‘Monopoly’ was just a game? Haha, think again. It’s today’s reality, and the name of the game is to bankrupt everyone and take up all the land. If we expect to have a future in a true ‘ownership society’, I suggest we abolish the Federal Reserve (along with it will go the IRS). I ask all [your town or city here] patriotic Americans to join the cause of halting the advances of big Federal government, at www.downsizedc.org . Facts are facts, and the knowledge is there for each of us to educate the powerful. My campaign site is [internet address, or mailing address for your local campaign site, if you have one.
sincerely,
Your name,

Dear Nick Flint -
I think you have a winner of an idea with local campaigns against the Fed, even if it just raises awareness. The angry tone of the letter, however, might best be left to your letter, and let everyone else write their own versions - which might also be angry. I think its worth mentioning somewhere about the devaluation of the $1 to 5 cents and also the 43% drop in purchasing power since 2001 per the USDX.
Somehow I don't think Jafre Fire Eater is quivering with fear, his article title apparently brought in readers, but his point is simply boils down to the fact that the leader of the revolution, whose valiant efforts (some would almost say "cute") to combat fiat currency have continued for the last 25-30 years believes the situation is worse than he thought.
This should be enough to give us all pause. For instance, most parts of his book, The Revolution: A Manifesto were actually written a LOOONG time ago. Reference "The Case for Gold" 1981. [link edited for length]
Here's another article you might like to read. Its on central banking and its influence on Morality. Might be something to add to your letter?? [link edited for length]

Hi Nick,
If you've read much of my writing over the past year you may remember that most of my articles focus on how to participate in local government. My wife is running campaigns for two of our local county commissioners with a foundational platform of getting our county to stop sucking on the federal tit.
We use the public comments section of the county commissioner's meeting every week to point out how creating new county services that rely on federal matching funds is just perpetuating the corruption. We stand up and speak for our cause in public at every opportunity.
We publicly call out supporters of such programs as immoral for the way they use federal tax money to lower the survivability of people they lure into this harsh environment by making it appear as if living here is just living in a city where the government will always take care of you.
We have created charts and flyers depicting how the flow of cash to the Feds trickles back to our county when we beg...after about 95% of it has been skimmed off through the Federal welfare state industry with all its consultants, lawyers and lobbyists. These are often published in the local papers and commented on by people who receive them with very favorable reactions.
I appreciate your local approach. The only way to improve our monetary situation starts by grooming candidates at the local level, in hundreds of localities across the country then working day-in and day-out for as long as it takes to promote that new crop of moral candidates up the political pipeline into national offices. There cannot be a change in Fed policy until this corrupt Congress is displaced and that may take a lifetime.
There is no quick fix. So far, history shows there has NEVER BEEN ANY FIX once an Empire has gotten to this point. But I agree with you, that doesn't mean it isn't worth trying. In order for this cycle of empire and oppression to be broken, mankind must rise above its historical patterns. So far, this one is text book repetition. (Did you read the Ron Paul article I liked to in my article? It doesn't sound like you did.)
I also appreciate the link to my article. You should read it again though because from your comment I think you didn't understand it at all. I've been a Ron Paul supporter for decades and I've read nearly everything the guy has written. My wife is a self-professed Ron Paul Scholar who can recite dozens of his essays from heart anytime there is an open microphone in a public space she is doing so. You should check out www.ronpaullibrary.org I think you will find a large selection of Dr. Paul's articles that support my writing. I haven't had an original thought in years...I just try to learn from the best and brightest.
Also, look up the recent article by Patrick Buchanan titled, An Honorable Exit From Empire. It does pay to try to learn from the past rather than just dashing about on the fumes of hope and outrage.
Anyone who is not personally preparing to weather this storm isn't going to be any help with the clean-up after the storm and make no mistake, a storm is coming.
Never give up the fight. The defense of liberty is a daily, life-long struggle. If you hope for a decisive victory then you don't really understand the scope of the battle.
I hope your email campaign has lots of success too.
