Ron Paul, a 10-term Republican Congressman, is clearly no "Republican In Name Only". But, What in the world is a "CINO?" by creator

♣ Ron Paul is without a doubt an authenticRepublican, and not merely a RINO (Republican In Name Only.) He not only talks the talk, he demonstrably and historically has walked the walk of a true Taft-Conservative Republican.
It's about time, however, for those of us who claim Christianity as our belief-system -- time for all of us, for that matter! -- to have a frank discussion about CINOs - Christians In Name Only. How can one of these poor, self-deluded creatures be identified? Is it possible that you might be a CINO and not even know it?
Comedian Jeff Foxworthy has popularized a quite amusing monologue that he calls "You Might Be A Redneck IF..." Let's use that humorous paradigm to begin a conversation about CINOs in the context of the presidential caucuses and primary elections. Here's my contribution to this fine comedic tradition:

I am not Christian in any way, shape or form. I do not hold faith in the lore or literature of any religion including Athiesm. I am a staunch advocate of religious freedom. I have no problem with other people choosing their own labels, political, social, professional or religious, for their own reasons and defending those choices with any kind of logic or illogic available to them.
What I do not want is for the federal government to define those labels or to pass legislation or interpret existing law to define those labels or to empower or suppress individuals who identify with any of those labels.
From this perspective, I see the Roe versus Wade decision as an anathama to freedom; a federal ban on abortion would be equally abhorrent to me. Both positions, when legislated at the Federal level, represent legislation that prohibits citizens from practicing the religion of their choice and from creating a local community that reflects that choice.
Of one thing I am certain, the proper role of the Federal government is NOT to homogenize the values and moral foundations of every local community across the nation by defining particular words in a federal codex.
