The 6,000 Year Vendetta

The origins and rationale behind the most basic struggle in all of human history.

It began way back at the beginning of history. God created Adam out of the dust of the earth and Eve from one of Adam's ribs. He commanded them to multiply, fill the earth and take dominion over it. They were to establish a world-order with God as the central authority. God's word was to be the rule of law for the entire world. He placed into their very beings an innate desire to accomplish these instructions. These God-embedded drives for territory and procreation are the foremost of all human motivations.

God then set up a test environment which would determine whether His creatures would obey Him or instead follow the example of Satan, their predecessor. We are painfully aware of their failure in this regard. They followed Satan's advice and decided they could do very well without God's seemingly onerous Law. They chose, in effect to be their own gods and to decide for themselves what is good and what is evil, what is right and what is wrong. They foolishly thought they could legislate their own laws and govern themselves as they wished without any help from their creator.

This of course changed everything. They were evicted from the garden (which would have meant eternal life) and were left to their own devices. Adam had to work for his food and Eve had pain in childbirth. But God also displayed mercy at this time; He told them something about the future that their offspring would experience. There was to be a struggle between the seed of the Woman and the seed of the Serpent in which the Woman's seed would triumph. God insured that this strife would be perpetuated by placing enmity between the two seeds. This was the origin of the protracted struggle that has permeated all of history.

We learn later on in Scripture that Christ and all those that believe in Him constitute the promised seed of the Woman (Gal. 3:16, 19, 29) while all those that do not believe are the seed of the Devil (John 8:42-45). These two seeds have existed and struggled against each other throughout all of history. The very first son born to Adam and Eve murdered the second son and so it has gone for all the generations that followed. Good and evil, God's way and man's (Satan's) way are always and everywhere in opposition and have, at their root, this basic, fundamental difference in worldviews. Both are still imbued with the drive to take dominion, one attempts to do so under God and in obedience to him, the other in rebellion against God and his law. There is no conciliation or compromise that can be effected, no bridge that can be built to join these two disparate forces together. God created this antithesis when He put the enmity in place; it is rooted in the very fiber of our beings and cannot be eradicated. These two mutually exclusive worldviews will always continue to struggle for dominance. Eventually one or the other will prevail; the world will one day either be all Christian or entirely devoid of Christianity.

The key question of course is, who will win? Will the world end up dominated by good or by evil? Christianity has had the upper hand and made great progress throughout the West for much of last two millennia but it has been lagging for the last century or so. False teachers, primarily located within the church, have led the Woman's seed (true Christians) astray. They have been deceived into believing that they cannot win, that the forces of Satan are too strong and cannot be overcome without direct intervention by God Himself. They have also been taught that God's word predicts that, in history, Satan will be victorious and will defeat the church. As a consequence, Christians have withdrawn from the struggle, retreated into their church-oriented, citadel-like environments and allowed the enemy to assume control of virtually every aspect of society at large. None of this is true; the recent ascendance of the forces of evil is not the outworking of an irresistible, predetermined fate that cannot be altered. It is simply the consequence of a self-fulfilling prophecy; when an army is convinced it cannot win, it will not win.

Does that mean it's all over, that Christians have lost and might at well just quit and go home? I don't think so and neither does God. He knows the end from the beginning and has told us over and over again that evil cannot last; the meek will inherit the earth and righteousness will reign supreme. God's laws govern the universe and to resist them is utter foolishness. This is true in the social world as well as the physical. Rebellion against God constitutes a flight from what is real. God's word defines reality and the further one moves away from that word, the further he moves away from reality. We cannot have an enduring civilization that is governed by laws that violate those given by God.

Because it denies God's universal laws, today's godless government contains the seeds of its own destruction. It cannot build or advance but is destined to destroy itself. As this process develops, and it has already begun, government becomes irrational. We can see many aspects of this degradation in this year's election process. This country is in financial peril, wasting its resources in utterly foolish actions both at home and abroad and refusing to deal with real issues such as energy and immigration, to say nothing of moral decline, crime and abortion. Christians today need to assert the truth of their faith and lift up God's law as the only rational basis for civil law. If they fail to do so and our leaders continue to move away from Christian government, the irrational behavior will intensify and the U.S will very likely experience financial collapse and cease to be a world power.

Whether things go in this direction or not, the world will eventually be Christian. One day a generation will arise that is obedient to God and focussed on His will, instead of on their own comfort and pleasures, and God's plan for history will finally be implemented. None of us may be here but, if we're believers, we'll have to answer to God as to what we did on our shift. I'd hate to have to say I didn't even try.

If you're a Christian and have been brought up (as I was) in some of these pessimistic theologies, I strongly suggest that you take the time to look into the viewpoint outlined above. A good source of material can be found at:

Sorry, man, but the serpent is assumed to be Satan, never is it explicitly stated. Apart from that, we with our (corrupt justice system) at least do not hold individuals, let alone their entire race, accountable if they do not know the difference between good and evil when the offense is commited. And nowhere in the bible is the story of Satan as a disobedient angel ever described. There are verses that are used to support this belief, but the story is not in the text at all.  Satan asan individual entity is first found in Job, he is in Heaven and seems to have a rather casual rivalry with God, using Job as a bit of a friendly wager, so If Job was human, it would seem Satan was still allowed past the pearly gates well after Adam and Eve. There's a bit more on the subject of satan, but it's a side topic, the main point is this false dogma of claiming the world for God. That is a twisted invention not belonging in true Christianity.

Nowhere does God command anyone to take over the world. Christians are to preach the message to those who will hear, and leave the fate of those who will not hear up to God. Laws that allow immoral behavior are not the concern of Christians. The illicit behavior of your neighbor is not your concern. Your concern is your own behavior. Your neighbor's sins are between him and God. God is the judge and has stated that Christians are to judge not, lest they be judged.

Christians are to be in the world but not of the world. Worldly concerns such as government are not the concerns of the church. No commandment for Christians can be found that states otherwise. Government is Man's way, and God's ways are not our ways. It is God's task in the final judgement to wash clean the world and establish a godly kingdom.

The only place there is a world-wide church mentioned in the Bible is the false church established by the Beast and the False Prophet. Therefore, if anyone is working for a worldwide religion of any sort, they are working towards this false church.

Revelations is a prophecy, supposedly directly from God. There is no prescription mentioned to avoid the events described. It is only noted that it will happen. No human can stop or circumvent what God has dictated, if you believe in the Christian god, that is. I do not, but I at least read the book and understand why I do not. What you are describing is (in parts) dogma. I strongly encourage you to read the book your god dictated and understand the concepts yourself instead of believing in unfounded dogma. So far, truthfully, I don't think you have.

You really believe that the earth is only 6000 years old? Science and all it\'s evidence says it is not.

If this is "our struggle" and the truth evident then why does not the entire world embrace this view?

The country and the world is being taken down by mankind itself. This is caused by men not the denial of "God\'s universal laws" or satan.

Which form of christianity should run the USA?

The country needs to be ran on a seperation of church and state stance BUT with the comple freedom of religon with no interference from goverment.

I do know this if I were an almighty diety I sure would not let what is going on in the world or what has gone on happen. Babies with cancer, diasters, murders, crimes, wars, evil men running our world. If I were an almight being that was supposed to be good I would make the world at peace and make it a heaven on earth.

Evidence of what has happen throughout history suggest that everthing we have been told about god is wrong.

I am not trying to be rude these are the questions that I have been trying to get answered my whole life.

Eldrad,

I'll attempt to address your questions:

The earth may not be exactly 6,000 years old but it's existence must be measured in thousands, not millions or billions of years. The evidence for a young earth is very extensive. I refer you to http://www.icr.org/ as a good source. Most of today's scientists are atheistic if not out and out anti-Christian. They don't look at the evidence because they don't know it exisits or just don't think it could possibly be valid.

The world does not embrace this view today because Christianity is no longer popular. Satan's seed has control over both the educational and the information dissemination media. Historically this was not the case but the Woman's Seed, the church has not been doing it's job.

"The country and the world is being taken down by mankind itself. This is caused by men not the denial of "God\'s universal laws" or satan." You are correct in placing the blame on men but the reason "the world is being taken down" is because men have followed Satan's instructions instead of God's.

The form of Christianity that should govern the USA and every country is that which follows God's instructions as found in the Bible. We have many denominations today because there are differences of opinion as to the correct interpretation of God's word. These need to be worked out and resolved over time.

Freedom of religion is a Biblical concept and governments should not limit that freedom. Christianity cannot govern nations through the use of force. The people must believe in God and His word and must apply that faith to all of life including politics and government.

Certainly much of what we have been told about God is wrong. But one needs to consider the source; only what agrees with the Bible is true.

I appreciate the sincerity of your questions. They are good ones. Keep trying to find the right answers.

Well, you see, there was this star, it had burned out its fuel so there was no outward pressure and then it gravitationally collapsed and when it became dense enough, it exploded with a big *boom*.  All of that debris eventually collessed into our present sun and its planets, including this swell planet we call Earth.  Of course that begin about 4 billion years ago, give or take 6000 years, or 7000 years or 5000 years.  But you get the idea, it was quite a while ago.  And that star exploded because it had burned out its fuel, we're on a planet around a second generation star here, folks.  Hey, if you want to argue about few thousand years, go ahead. Hums a mantra
