Ron Paul's Campaign Just Beginning No, I'm not coming late to the game or delusional. We all know the campaign for Presidency of the United States has come to a close, however...by Gary Wood

...according to Dr. Paul, "We have some exciting plans and projects to move the revolution forward that will come together in the next several months." If you follow the revolution created by the candidacy of Ron Paul you know about the Revolution Freedom Festival in Sturgis, SD scheduled to take place July 2-6. You also know of the Revolution March on Washington DC scheduled for July 12th. Both of these events were planned before the announcement regarding the end of the campaign.
What many should also be aware of is the rally scheduled in Minneapolis, MN. This rally will be held at the Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota on Tuesday, September 2nd with the intent on having 11,000 in attendance. You'll want to follow the above link because that takes you to the site that really proves the title of this article is not rigged.
You see Ron Paul's new website, Campaign for Liberty, has officially launched! This isn't a site like Break the Matrix or Liberty's Haven, both inspired by the R3VOLUTION and fine social community sites for sure, this is a site put together by Ron Paul for the focused purpose of driving the campaign forward for the long term. With a modest goal of reaching 100,000 members before the September 2nd rally the site's mission statement should inspire anyone whether a Ron Paul fan or not.
If you love liberty, freedom, the U.S. Constitution, and the idea our country's future is better under a Federalist Republic instead of a Representative Democracy or the current plutocratic oligarchy you want to at least visit his new website and learn about the mission. I could type pages and pages here about it but I want you to go read the entire mission section for yourself. Here is the basic mission statement;
"The mission of the Campaign for Liberty is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity. "
When you hear the mass media claim Dr. Paul has finally quit or given up don't believe it. As I wrote in a column nearly a half year ago this is not, nor has it ever been, the Ron Paul Revolution but instead it is the Long Haul R3EVOLUTION with Ron Paul serving as the catalyst and one of the chief spokesmen. If you have hesitated joining the Paul campaign it is my sincere hope you will not hesitate in joining the liberty campaign. Remember the words of Samuel Adams, "...it does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds..."

Here is a successful 80 year old man with the power to make a big difference, with a big platform - hes almost EIGHTY.
But, instead of running third party against two people most everyone doesnt want to vote for, instead of taking the truth abouy what is going on in our foreign policy etc to the next level and actually doing something to really push the cause of reality to the fore....this guy instead (80, successful, fixed on retirement) has to continue being congressman in Texas.
I say BULL. We have been corralled and neutralized - this has been a big con. Its time to to research the backgrounds of who actually ran and controlled this campaign. We've been herded into field number 5.
Well Ralphie, that's an interesting view and I can sure understand the frustration. He is 72 and returning to Congress as a the Rep. from his TX district. I see it a little different and here's why;
You believe he has power and also most don't want to vote for McCain or Obama. The primaries showed clearly he does not YET yield enough power within the GOP. Stepping into a third-party reduces, not increases, overall power as related to media, general public, political structure, etc. If you've ever been a third-party candidate running on a constitutional platform (I have) you understand the inherent, traditional obstacles the two major parties and media place in the way. We must change these obstacles before moving to a third-party will allow true opposition at the Presidential level within our country. He would receive less attention by launching a third-party campaign than he is by ending and jointly launching the Campaign for Liberty. Finally, with record numbers of Democratic voters there is a strong indication the majority do want to vote for one of these two and with our current direction (or mis-direction) toward a Representative Democracy over our true roots as a Federalist Republic that majority will prevail in the election. Should he lose the election as a third-party candidate he's done...no losing candidate has ever then successfully launched a movement (as Ross Perot). By launching the movement power is maintained and has a realistic chance to increase no matter the outcome of this year's election.
As far as having to continue being a Congressman remember the one key factor there. He'll also be returning to insure the Liberty Caucus is alive and well, ready to receive new representatives voters send that are also liberty-minded. He's known already in Congress and if the voters increase the members of the Liberty Caucus his knowledge of the 'oligarchy' controlled system will be invaluable in getting the influence of the Constitution into more votes.
The con comes to us from those claiming this is somehow smoke & mirrors and a third-party push would be better. As long as we allow the system developed by the two parties to reign it is not the best approach. Let Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin make some good third-party noise this year and start thinking of ways to end the process the two parties want in time for the next election so there really is a more level playing field and a third-party or Independent can be a force moving forward.
