What if either party won the upcoming election? So what? We are the change that we seek. by Jack Galway

We are kidding ourselves if we think this piddling trench warfare between gops and dems, between libs and cons, is getting us anywhere. We are literally struggling over whether to tweedle dee or tweedle dum.
The tug-of-war straddles the line that was mutually fashioned by hoover and fdr in the 30s. This line is in no way relevant to anything that is going on today, except the miniscule happenstance of who are rich and who are not. The line only bisects our drift from welfare to warfare, and relates to the care and feeding of the national debt.
Change? What horrific groundless conjecture! A small tornado does more to change things. A quarter at the gas pump does more. The relative ratings of leprechaun o'reilly and obermeister olbermann do more. But none does what britney's underwear/underwhere, or american idle do.
How much gnashing of teeth and expenditure of billions does it take to come up with drooling mccain and dreaming obama? We could do better just by ignoring the whole process!
