Today, as I'm sure you all know, is Memorial Day, a day to give thanks to our fallen brother and sisters for the extreme sacrifices they have made to allow us enjoy the Freedom we sometimes take for granted.
Reading about the past wars in which American soldiers had given their lives for the sake of Liberty, enduring the ultimate sacrifice, their friends and families enduring the pain and anguish of loved ones lost, I stand in complete humility and admiration.
I read about how ordinary American citizens, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters had risen to the occasion, stepped up to the call of duty, and fought for our country, to support and defend our precious Constitution, allowing us all the Freedoms we enjoy to this very day. In an instant, the "ordinary" had become "extraordinary", boys and girls became men and women, citizens became Patriots when it came time to defend what we all held to be unalienable rights, "with Liberty and Justice for all".
I try to imagine what it would be like during the Revolution, how these extraordinary American Patriots, our forefathers, armed themselves with a simple musket/bayonet, left friends and family, to march into what was mostly certain death for an IDEA, FOR FREEDOM, unflinching, not looking back.
I then look around today, and wonder how many of us would be willing to do just that, be willing to sacrifice, to risk life and limb, in order to preserve our Freedom. Ask yourself: "Am I willing to give my life for Freedom, so that my children, and their children, future generations of loyal Americans can enjoy the same Freedom, the same "Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness" we enjoy today?" Can you find the time to make a difference, muster the courage to pick up the fight, to not allow all the sacrifices made by those we remember this Memorial Day, BE IN VAIN?
This Revolution, with Ron Paul really sounding the call, is that time for us. The call to fight for our American way of life has sounded, only the fight has changed, along with its weapons. The greatest of all challenges we face, our country faces, is a simple but sometimes invisible enemy: APATHY. To do nothing is the single greatest reason our country is where it is today, and sinking quickly. Get together with your neighbors, and talk about what's going on a weekly/monthly basis. Even if it is to just say hello, talk to each other. The greatest gift Ron Paul gave to us is the gift of DIALOGUE. Dr. Paul has gotten us all to talk about feelings we all already had. But, it was this DIALOGUE that is truly setting us FREE, allowing us to see that we are not the minority, but the overwhelming silent majority. To keep the discussion going, the ball rolling, is essential...let's all keep moving forward, together, keeping the CONVERSATIONS going, eventually graduating into ACTION, and ultimately into SUSTAINABLE CHANGE that guarantees our country's "Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness" for generations to come.
Give THANKS to all those true American Patriots, Veterans, Service Men and Women, that have come before us, given their lives so that we may be able to have the Freedom to live ours any which way we choose to.
"The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of Patriots and Tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all. We will not let you down, let your sacrifice be in vain."
With love and admiration, Anthony Cinelli

Dear Anthony,
Couple of spelling tips - vain not vein, and dialogue, not dialog.
I took a stab at attacking apathy through humor here, but very few people decided to read it :) If you would also take a look, I would much appreciate it.
