Short commentary on new “Plans” by Clinton and Bush to save us from the subprime mess
by Jim ODonnell
(Libertarian)
Friday, December 7, 2007

I had the opportunity [misfortune] to watch the live images of Bush giving an address to the nation concerning his new "plan" to save everyone from themselves while at the same time ignoring that the primary cause of the problem is his own administration and his Federal Reserve Chairman "Helicopter" Ben Bernanke and of course previously Alan Greenspan.

I say only that I watched the live images while I was eating lunch yesterday, as I never listen to anything that George W Bush actually says. Why? Because he is a pathological liar, and I never listen to any people so afflicted, this also includes Hillary Clinton and also her husband Bill Clinton.

What I always do is await their actual deeds or good accounts of what they intend to do in writing so that I can think upon it and figure out what they really mean to do. Here are several preliminary accounts for both Hillary's plan and Bush's plan.

Bush Announces Plan to (try to) Delay Recession by Five Years

The Associated Press: Administration, Industry to Freeze Rates

Be careful as the above links are various reports which were put together probably based upon press releases and may in the end not bear any resemblance to what will actually happen. When I am confident that I have or can guess as to these things I will write an actual article giving you my opinion.

But first something hilarious. After Bush vanished from the TV screen, CNBC [financial channel] had a panel of Wall Street wiz kids to provide "instant analysis" of what Bush had just said. Forget about the fact they actually know nothing concrete yet. They are there primarily to assure you that your money invested in the market is a-ok. Yes, it is always ok even if it is not.

Since my mute was off, this is what this genius said as best that I can recall, "Although I am for free markets, during times like these it is ok if the government uses its influence, just a little bit, to help everyone out."

As I heard this I spit a mouthful of coffee across the room, and couldn't stop laughing for about 5 minutes. What could have possibly cause me to act like this? Well in just a few words, this idiot told the three greatest lies every uttered by mankind since the days of Adam and Eve. What are these three lies? Well since this is a family web site I will have to clean them up a bit but everyone will remember hearing them before:

[1] I'll only stick it in a little bit.

[2] I won't c__ in your mouth.

[3] I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you. [this is the worse lie of all]

This is why I was laughing, and am still laughing.
