On May 4, presidential candidate Ron Paul endorsed Amit Singh for Congress in Virginia. View the endorsement here.
Amit Singh, a University of Virginia graduate, is an engineer who works in the U.S. intelligence community as a federal contractor. He is the founder and CEO of his own electrical engineering firm, which has done work for the White House, DoD, FCC, Army Intelligence Command, NASA, and currently the NSA.
Singh is running in Virginia's 8th District, across the river from Washington, which is currently held by 9-term Democrat Jim Moran. His opponent in the June 10 Republican primary is businessman Mark Ellmore, who ran unsuccessfully in 2006. The primary is open to Democratic and independent voters.

He supports Congressional term limits, the right to keep and bear arms, and an end to the federal war on drugs."
This is not Mr. Singh's first endorsement. VA political blog Crysal Clear Conservative, which originally attacked him as "a Ron Paul revolutionary, who would like to overthrow the Republican structure and considers the party as 'pro-war neocons,'" printed this follow-up on Mar. 20:
This is the official endorsement of Amit Singh for Congress in the 8th District. There ... is a need to unify the party and energize our base. This can only be done through returning to our limited governance principles, reducing taxes and ensuring a strong national defense.
One lesson that was learned through this blog is to do more research before making a valid assumption about a candidate. I know that a prior post about Mr. Singh was extremely critical, and a good writer should always conduct more thorough research before making accusations. Mr. Singh reached out to me and provided me more information about his campaign. Through this, I gained more respect for Mr. Singh and his campaign.
Singh, who has budgeted $50,000 for his primary campaign, has already raised 80% of that figure, including $9,000 at a Mar. 14 fundraiser. There will be a money bomb for his campaign on May 15; a pledge site has been set up at http://lunchbomb.com/.
