Experts say felons and illegal immigrant voters are likely to be disenfranchised – a key constituency of both Obama and Clinton in the primaries thus far – might be disproportionately affected in Tuesday's Indiana primary by the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the states voter identification requirements.
Studies show that both felons and illegal immigrants historically lack the necessary papers required to vote in primaries of this type. Several other groups are also likely to be affected by the ruling such as the National Coalition Against Lamination, the Historic Society Against Photography and the Women's United Over 30 Against Age Disclosure.
"The research is pretty clear that in Indiana this will disproportionately affect certain groups and felons are certainly one of them," said Julia Vaughn, Indiana policy director for Common Sense.
Common Sense and verifiedvoting.org issued a joint report on May 1 detailing the statistics of groups likely to not have proper government-issued photo identification which would subsequently bar them from voting.
"An overwhelming 100 percent of felons will lack the ability to show an identification card that will allow them to vote," John Durham of the Unconstitutional Absurd Voting Policies Organization said in a press release Friday. "It is unacceptable that laws disallow American citizens the franchise to vote regardless of their legal status."
By comparison, slightly less than 60 percent of Indiana's illegal immigration population will be disallowed to vote in the upcoming primary.
"The illegals are poised to have a better turnout rate," said Jose Chavez of the National Center for Reforming Immigration Laws. "They are usually corralled, and taken en masse to the voting booths at the behest of their employers to vote for the politician who promised not to deport illegals and leave the border open."
One thing is for sure, without this key demographic for either candidate, this is anyones ballgame.

Ha... seriously? Apparently you missed the overall tone and general absurdity. Not to mention groups that in fact, don't exist, such as the "National Coalition Against Lamination, the Historic Society Against Photography and the Women's United Over 30 Against Age Disclosure."
... and lastly that the article was filed under satire... and its intent was to satarize the argument in Indiana over id requirments to vote tomorrow.
