Ron Paul's Character

I had the chance to meet Ron Paul a few times. Here's a personal look inside his personality.

I've met Dr. Paul a few times. I always hear something very enlightening. Every day we are bombarded with lies and false information that when you hear the truth for what it is, all of the lies and falsehoods just fall away. When I ask him personal questions it's always an eye opening experience.

I want to relay what a friend of mine has experienced. He went to DC for the March. This is what happened.

I'm Tommy Frain, 17 years old. I Went to Dr. Paul's office on Wednesday, April 16 at about 11 am. He was on the floor voting but his secretary said if I came back at about 2:30 I might have a chance to see him. I came back and waited for a little while, while he was in a meeting with Greg Lewis. I heard the bells ringing signaling a vote on the floor so I figured if I even got to see Dr. Paul it would be very brief, but he proved me wrong. I didn't even notice as he came behind me and patted me on the back and just said, "Hey, how ya doing?" in that familiar Ron Paul voice. I of course jumped up nervous and he shook my hand and asked me to have a seat and he sat across from me. We sat for about 5 minutes talking about the campaign, the gold standard and the falling dollar. It was truly an amazing experience. Dr. Paul seemed truly interested in what I had to say and eager to hear what I was interested in. Even my freshman representative who I will not name, was not even near as kind as Dr. Paul. Dr. Paul acted not as a politician talking to some 17 year old kid, but as a real person talking to another real person. I knew Dr. Paul was in touch with the people, and cared about the people but this experience blew me away. As we got up so he could run on the floor to vote he grabbed me a pocket constitution to sign and we got a picture together. He was caring, nice, and one thing I admired most, not like all the rest of the 435 on the hill. Dr. Paul is true to his word, and if I wasn't sure of it before, I am now.

Pretty nice, huh? Ron Paul is a man with an open heart and clean soul. Real integrity. He didn't meet Tommy to be in the news or to mend his reputation. It's who he is.

Not knowing RP that well myself, this is refreshing, assumed but very refreshing. RP Seems to be one that really cares what the voters think, and he wants everyone to know it.

It has been said before that when his record and character are under the microscope, he will make the other candidates pale in comparison, it is on point, and so much truer than even we may realize. Now I am certain, no one is perfect, but we just could not ask for a greater man at this point.

No emulating him as a great man, he is, and doesn't probably even want that title, but he earned it with his career and I'm certain that many other supporters have had the chance to speak with him in this way.

It shows that this movement isn't just about a man, but the qualifications to an Office, that is vastly important, and this Representative from Texas, simply meets them.

:-) This is why I support him. To the end of the campaign and beyond if need be. The message will be heard.

btw GREAT article.

People say it is the message and not the man and this I beleive to be true.  However, I don't know if anyone with as much moral fiber as Ron Paul will ever come our way again.  He has and always will have my support.  Thank you Ron Paul for opening my eyes to the truth.

What a lovely article. Ron Paul is truly one in a million, one of the few people on earth who hasn't been changed or corrupted one iota by becoming a politician in Washington.

Some people say it's not the man that's important, but the message; but I think it just makes the message that much more meaningful when the messager is such a unique, genuine, principled, personable and honest person. Would we have heard the message so clearly if it had been delivered by someone with questionable morals and integrity, someone other than a man like Ron Paul?

You could say the same thing about George W. Bush if you believed in God and you like his accent and smile.

Politicians have to be nice and smiley. Herbert Hoover learned this lesson the hard way.

Ron Paul has often been ridiculed by the media for what he

was concerned about, for instance the economy.

Now the media, first of all the newspaper publishers, are

feeling the pinch of the "economy", are faced themselves with genuine economic concerns. Ironic, isn't it?

If interested, google: +newspaper revenue+ and then click

NEWS.  There are the incoming articles related to that.

And, what might as further explanation to that media problem: +ad rates up circulation down+

(the media are sometimes a bit evasive, blaming Google and

whomever else for their declining ad revenue). An example,

from 2004, that tells a bit, can be followed up:
