Paranoia?

The new fad of linking everything and anything back to a conspiracy has begun to make me wonder.

More truth behind 9/11, the real reason we are over in Iraq, planes, buildings, its all just one big conspiracy. The government is out to get us and the world is going to let them.

For the past couple of years now I have seen more conspiracies pop up then I have with websites these days. So let us take another approach to all of this.

First, lemme just tell the readers that I am in no way an expert on this but I believe if we are to begin living as free people, we must not only want it, but we must be able to put these conspiracies to rest.

Whether the Government perpetrated the 9/11 attacks or anything else at this point, its completely irrelevant. Congress refuses to impeach a president during war time. (hmm, I can only begin to wonder why) but I won't.

The facts are this, we have been over in Iraq for 5 years now, and Afghanistan for longer. Are we any safer, are the benchmarks being met?

Our economy is crashing and all the Fed can do is ask for more power over the whole thing. Yes, that's right they want the power to help everyone, out of this mess. I say we help ourselves.

Here's how:

1st: Drop the conspiracy

2nd: Focus on the problems at hand, we have an election going on for the white house that will decide when we finally can bring the troops home.

3rd. Look into what to do with your money, the economy is failing but maybe there is a way for us poor folks to strengthen it, Obviously the Fed will be of no help to the average American so we have to do it ourselves.

4th: If all of the conspiracies have finally angered you to the point of thinking about Armed Insurrection, STOP. There is still hope and time, I would like to point out that there are hundreds of millions of Americans in this country, do you part. Vote.

The chances of this election being rigged go down exponentially the more people vote, the popular vote means something, (or at least it use to) Get active in your communities to find out what they are doing to stimulate the economies in your area.

Its going to be hard, but if for once, we pull together and start being active in our own communities you will see how much of an influence we can be.

Now some would say, that they have no experience for politics or going and being active. Check with your local libraries, council meetings, there are things going on that need to be done on the local level if we are to prevail and solve these problems.

Obviously we cannot necessarily place all the blame on the Government, I mean if it weren't for the complacency of the American people they wouldn't be in power.

So wake up, and get involved, it may be the only way to save this country. Speak up when you say you don't like the war, Speak up when it comes to ending the incessant war on drugs. WE, as a people united in this country have to make an impact, if we focus on the problems at hand who will find a solution.

Please, Stop being sheep, stop the complacency, Stand up and Be an American Citizen, Vote, participate. The main reason it is easy for the conspiracy theories to thrive is because of lack of government transparency, we want to know what they are doing, well are they the boss, or are we. I vaguely recall something saying....

WE the people, (not the government)(the the political parties)(not the MSM) and definitively not any other country. WE the PEOPLE, that us, get the hint. If this country is to be fixed stand up grab some hammers and get to work. Rebuild it from the bottom up, starting in your communities. There are thousands of websites catering to peoples views, Meet-up doesn't have to be about Ron Paul, it can be about how the communities around the country can get together and be involved with the decisions at a local level.

If you happen to know of, or have met before, any aliens, its been way to long since we have had some of that nice new technology that will bring this world some much needed peace. Ask for it.

Remember, it only takes one vote, to change who is nominated.

Remember, it only took a handful of people to change the way government had been in the past, over 200 years ago, they were traitors to the crown and heroes to the American people. There history, their courage, and there contempt for the Crown, gave pause enough for them to build a new country. Shouldn't we take pride in ours, and for once stop asking the government to solve our problems.

Personal Responsibility does not mean more government programs, or more taxes, it means we are all individually responsible for ourselves. Start acting like it, or else we may just be herded into the biggest gulag of history. If the end of all the conspiracies is bad, then it may just be time to change them. Make a new conspiracy that lands the People back in power.

In truth,

Sometimes a conspiracy theory is the religion of some not-religious.

Most humans tend to believe in something when there is no logical explanation or concrete proof as it is the case with most religious doctrines.  For those who are not religious and even some religious folks too, there is still a human need to believe in something.  Even Libertarianism itself could sometimes reach a religion-level as there is no proof that we would be better off than our current socialistic system.  We can't prove our opinions.

In the absence of a logical explanation or concrete proof to a set of events that are somewhat unexplainable, then conspiracy theories surface as a possible side-explanation.  Such is the case with religions.  Then the possible explanation or explanations, which cannot be proven either, take shape and the belief becomes a ‘reality’ for the conspiracy theorist 'religion' even if the theory itself has no logic behind it.  Thus the conspiracy theorists have just created a new religion.

Example:

To most people the concept of one lone gun-man taking down a President is unbelievable even though all the evidence and investigations points to that.  The evidence is never 100%, but as close as we can get.  Therefore conspiracy theorists develop a doubt.  Since no case is 100% proof, doubts will exist.  Therefore, for conspiracy theorists the doubts ‘proof’ that such a big event must have been planned by the government, a mob boss or a big corporation.  Just by generating that doubt the conspiracy theorist followers find other doubts pointing to the first doubt until they are convinced.  Then with NO proof the doubt becomes their 'fact'.  Their reasoning is: if there is a little bit of doubt then it must have been the government and the MSM, and they did a good job in hiding us from the ‘truth’.

Part of the price of freedom is to have freedom of religion as well as freedom from religion in the same way that people are free to believe in conspiracies.  Even though I don’t agree with conspiracy theories or religion, I welcome the freedom of the public to believe in whatever they want.  It is a small price that I am willing to pay in the name of freedom, and freedom is my belief.

Very clearly, thanks for the comment on my spell check, i was a bit tired when I wrote the article.

As far as the rest goes, this article is not about how bad the conspiracies are or how they sideline into religions. I appreciate the comments.

The purpose of the article is simply that delving to far into the conspiracies and making them a new "religion" of sorts is counter-productive to making a new reality. If the conspiracies are true would it matter either way, if we are all doomed to fall then there is nothing we can do. However, I do not see that there is nothing we can do, there is hope, and it starts with action.

In a sense this is a call to that action, stop the focus on the conspiracies and get out and make change happen. That is all.
