Law and Order ? It used to be that when people broke the law, they were arrested and tried in a court of law and sentenced to time and or fines as a punishment of their crime(s). But something changed all that.by Kipper Mathews

Seven years ago, George Bush gallantly took charge of saving Americans from the axis of evil for our own good. In doing so it gave him the right, (so he says) to make up his own laws known as Executive Orders.
These new laws that would not of had a chance on passing otherwise, gave not only himself, but everybody that agreed with him immunity from prosecution. All people with ties to the Bush administration were given a free pass to be above-the-law and don't have to answer to Congress or investigators for what he calls security reasons. His job security most likely.
If or when it comes down to actually having to explain the legality of enforcing these questionable new laws, those being questioned have been instructed by counsel to deny any involvement by saying "I don't recall". This line is a new legal term only accessible to politicians and seems to be sufficient in most cases to end any further investigation. It's use is also less incriminating than the 5th amendment by simply stating forgetfulness or a lack of knowledge rather than a refusal to answer. It is called contempt of court in all other cases.
We have seen time and time again that these people have been given some unwritten right to break the law whenever they want to without repercussions or prosecution.
There has rightfully been investigations, as investigating a crime is usually the first step in holding criminals accountable in the legal process. However except for a few people like Jack Abernoff and some of his cronies, no one has ever been arrested or even held accountable for the laws in which they blatantly broke.
" Scooter" Libby was tried and sentenced, not only as a "token" example of law enforcement, but as a scape goat too, to end an investigation that was getting to close to proving that George Bush and clan were involved in illegal activities. It worked perfectly. No more investigation necessary.
He most likely will be pardoned by the President when he ends his rein of power.
It seems to be the new way of the land, that if you just resign from your post, you have justifiably suffered enough by the lose of your job that no one has a right to further investigate your wrong doings from that point on.. That is unless George Bush can intervene for you first by saying that you don't have to admit to anything. . . because he said so.
It used to be the FBI and the Department of Justice handled all criminal proceeding that involved politicians and people doing business with them, but lately they too have come under suspicions of being evolved. There doesn't seem to be anybody left willing to serve the American people and uphold the law, no police and no prosecutors.
But then the plot thickens as non political people are coming into the picture.
First our Savior George Bush, attempts to give immunity to the telecoms that sold out the American People, by blatantly sneaking around behind our backs and stealing our constitutional rights. If they didn't break the law, they don't need to get immunity. If they did break the law, they and (all) other people involved in breaking the law to accomplish the crime(s) should be arrested and tried.
George though, "decided" that we shouldn't prosecute his cronies, because it will send a message to the them (telecoms) that they can't help in the fight against terrorists because of fear they might be legally held responsible for breaking the law. Imagine that.
His concerns, have nothing to do with the fear they might "roll over" and testify against him
Why hasn't anybody from the telecoms that broke the law by allowing illegal wire tapping ever been arrested? Not even a sacrificial lamb.
Then we have the really fortunate criminals breaking the law (without prosecution), from other facets of life that aren't directly involved with the political arena, but have connections to political figures or political agendas.
These seemingly wanna-be gangsters are going about breaking the law as though they have the coveted George Bush immunity that the main administration players have, but don't. (As far as we know at least). They are the people in the media that are manipulating the election process by illegally censoring or acknowledging Ron Paul as a presidential candidate. We all know who they are and so does the government. They post their top three candidates on their sites and leave Ron Paul, a legal and viable Republican candidate out as though he doesn't even exist. It's not just deplorable, it is illegal.
Why aren't they at least being investigated for their crimes, if not arrested and tried for them?
How can we trust any of those "Top Three" candidates, or anyone else as far as that goes, if they won't acknowledge that people manipulating the system, are breaking the law? By doing so they too are breaking the law.
Why is there no accountability?
In all the 50 states of this country it is a punishable crime to aid a criminal in breaking the law by allowing them to do so. All persons with knowledge of a crime and do not do something to stop it or report it are equally guilty of that crime. That's the law. Pretending to not have knowledge of a crime or not recalling if a crime was committed or not , does not make you less of an accomplice. You can and should be arrested and tried.
Whether you like George Bush or not is not supposed to be a factor.
George Bush and Dick Cheney are not immune from prosecution just because they say so either. The Congress of this United States knows without a doubt that they have both committed crimes against the people of this country. They should be impeached now according to the law. Making excuses as the timing is off or it's not practical to impeach this late in the candidacy, is aiding and abetting, which in itself is a crime and should not be tolerated.
Why is it?
There is no "Right Time" to file these charges, the time is now!
View Point:
As it is, our justice system in this country is Pathetic !
What we have is an organized crime system, where only everyday citizens need be held accountable to the law. Everybody else is immune.
What ever and whom ever the legal body is that is supposed to be in charge of upholding these laws, should also be arrested and tried just as the original criminals for not doing their job, and allowing these crimes to happen, let alone continue.
Stand up against these criminals and demand Real Law and Order, before it is too late.

The Bush administration bends the justice system the other way too when it suits their interests. The Jose Padilla case is an example. Padilla was imprisoned for years without charges by the The administration. That's a violation of habeas corpus, the 5th amendment and the 6th amendment.
Since Padilla is an American citizen, we could conclude that the same thing could happen to any Americam. So why aren't Americans alarmed by this?
Two answers;
1) They don't know.
2) They don't give a damn.
Thats really the basic problem; the American people don't care. That's why W can get away with it.
