With the Pennsylvania primary coming up, the Ron Paul campaign to attract Republican voters back to the party's roots goes on. As he promised before taking a break from his presidential campaign to defend his seat in the House of representatives, Ron Paul is out on the campaign trail in Penmsylvania
Yesterday Representative Paul, who was born in the Pittsburgh area, began with an interview on The Morning Show on station KDKA . The ijnterview was friendly and congenial, and Representative Paul was given the opportunity to set forth his program for change. A recording of the interview is available on line (www.kdkaradio.com) .
From there, he went to Indiana for an afternoon freedom rally at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The rally drew support not only from the Ron Paul supporters at the University but, as is common with Paul rallies, out of state supporters who wanted a chance to see their candidate in person. It also attracted by those who were interested in hearing more about particular elements of the platform, although they were not yet sure that they could support Paul/s candidacy. (www.thepenn.org).
In the evening, he returned to Pittsburgh for a rally sponsored by the Young Republicans. This rally had been well advertised on campus, and drew a good crowd. Representative Paul was able to present his position and reaffirm his intention to remain in the race. He said that he was not cretain that he would be formally nominated at the convention because he was not certain of the party rules. The rally was reported in the student newspaper (www.pittnews.com). and the rally in Indiana was reported in both the Pittsburgh dailies, the Post-Gazette (www.postgazette.com) and the Tribune=Review(www.Pittsburghlive.com) neither of which had published any advance notice of he rallies.
Rpresentative Paul has rallies scheduled next week at Gettysburgh College, his alma mater, and at Penn State University._
