Ron Paul Added to Primary Ballots in New York and California

The Ron Paul campaign announced today that it has been added to the Republican primary ballots in New York and California, the two biggest states in next year's Super Duper Tuesday primary.

The announcement from the Ron Paul campaign today that Dr. Paul has been added to the primary ballots in California and New York for Super Duper Tuesday, February 5, 2008 comes as no surprise. However, there is a mild surprise in what the respective governing bodies had to say. The Republican commissioners of the New York State Board of Elections, "ruled Dr. Paul to be a 'nationally known and recognized' candidate who is 'generally and seriously advocated or recognized according to reports in the national or state news media,' in accordance with Election Law section 2-122-b(3)(b)," according to an email sent from Paul campaign headquarters. The email also says:

"On October 5, California Secretary of State Debra Bowen released the list of 'generally recognized' candidates whose names would be placed on the February 5, 2008 presidential primary ballot, with Dr. Paul among those named."

"Dr. Paul's ballot success in New York is great news for the campaign and for our many grassroots supporters there," said Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. "His message of freedom, peace, and prosperity is enjoyed statewide, and we are ready to compete in the primaries."

So while neo-con pundits may not be taking the Paul campaign seriously, apparently the governing bodies for elections of the two largest states are taking his campaign serious.

I'd like to thank all the hard work here in New York by Ron Paul supporters to make sure the state knew that if they ignored Ron Paul's national recognition we were gonna give 'em hell and that they'd have to sift through thousands of names to see what we already knew. That Ron Paul is nationally recognized, that conservatives and libertatians in New York don't want Rudy or Hillary to be president, and that we will keep fighting for liberty. You know we have a statue here that suggests we like liberty. Time to act like it!

Ron Paul is steam rolling his way to the Republican nomination. He dominates in straw polls, debate polls, fund raising, web traffic and grass roots networking. I have created a website to support this statement. Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge the evidence for yourself.

I usually vote democratic because butter is cheaper than guns, but, I would vote for Ron for sure. If it is Ron Paul verses Hillary, Ron Paul will win, but I don't think any other GOP nomination will win the general election this time except Paul.

Great news! There's no reason why he shouldn't be on ALL of the ballots.
