I Didn't Do it..... George Did !

As Tonto said in that infamous joke, "Who's We White Man?". . . The point is, We don't need to get out of Iraq and We don't need to stay. We've never been there and never will be. It wasn't our idea to go there, so why do we have to take the blame for it if "We" leave?

I don't mind being put into the category of We, when I talk about We The People, but I myself am getting real tired of being put into the category of WE by my government so that they can include me when it comes to taking the blame for their mistakes.

George Bush not only says "We can't leave Iraq", he takes it one step further by saying "What all Americans want is ____" or "What most Americans think is ____."

Has he ever asked you for your opinion? Has he ever asked any of the American people what we thought about when he decided to create a new law, look in our bank accounts or tap our phones and computers? No... So why make it sound like he did? Does he think we are all ignorant, and think of him as thee chosen spokes-person for all Americans? Has he forgotten what the polls say about him?

I didn't vote for him or his Dad and that lame kid VP. . . Tweety, or whatever his name was. If he wants to take down the people that did make that terrible mistake and vote for him, fine, just keep me out of it.

What I'm also very upset about, to say it politely, is that his foreign policies have drug so many proud Americans through the mud as far as other countries are concerned. It should be a crime to force Americans to be outcasts in the world and have to deny our citizenship in order to be safe and not looked down upon, just to make the world think we back his every move. It's not Our foreign policy that is a threat to the world, it's George Bush and his cronies in Washington's foreign policy (policing).

He should just tell the truth and say, we in the government can't pull out of this war we started under false pretenses and leave the people of Iraq to fend off the enemies that we made by themselves, not after we keep telling them we were going to stay and fight for them forever.

He can't because the world would then know without a doubt that he failed. Instead he tries to make all of us feel guilty by saying "If the US military pulls out of Iraq, Iraqis and Americans are going to die and the boogie-man is going to attack the USA. .Worst of all it will be our fault, because "We" made him do it.

It's better to kill and cripple tens-of-thousands of young Americans on foreign soil than have to test our nations new and improved Homeland Security here at home.

His greed for oil and power in the region drives him to continue this war , not saving Iraqi lives.

What he really wants is. . . to save his own face.

View Point:

Some people are saying (my favorite line these days, I borrowed from it Rupert's cronies) is that George Bush should be impeached. I think he should be prosecuted for his war crimes, put in an orange jumpsuit and sent to Cuba as an enemy combatant.

Well written, I give it a thumbs up.

My opinions are mixed about Bush. I cannot say I support him (or this war), but he is our leader and I respect that. He also had some good ideas (well, at least I think they were good) although he didn't do a very good job carrying them out.

That said, Bush more or less failed at his presidency. I prefer when a leader uses "we" rather than "I," but only when the majority follows him/her. The fact that Bush cannot keep the people behind him shows a failure to lead, dividing the nation between the people and the goverment.

Fortunately, January is only about nine months away. The new president (whoever it might be) must reunite the people and the goverment, thus becoming "we" again.
