[I'm sure that most of you Ron Paul supporters have already seen this in other forums. For those who haven't: Enjoy, and please consider supporting the artists' most worthy cause, for it's ours too. Spread the word. The High Tide is produced, directed, and edited by Nathan Evans and Chris Rye; the following excerpt and image are theirs. –D.A.]
The High Tide is not just about Presidential candidate Ron Paul, but about the idea of returning America back to it's founding principles of freedom and liberty.

A small group of dedicated grassroots artists have created a new 60 second promo/TV ad for Presidential candidate Ron Paul, entitled "The High Tide". The ad combines carefully edited audio from various Ron Paul speeches with high end computer animation, motion graphics, and a moving musical score, into a unique presentation that is reaching new eyes and reinvigorating the dedicated Ron Paul grassroots. . . .
Chris Rye's American Liberty Coalition PAC is now accepting grassroots donations for airtime purchases in Pennsylvania leading up to their April 22nd primary. With the Republican race down to just John McCain and Ron Paul, and with baseline Republican's general disgust of McCain, Ron Paul has a chance to pick up steam for the remaining primaries.
Imagine average people watching mainstream television, and in between Pepsi and MasterCard commercials, the viewer gets 60 seconds of Ron Paul's important message delivered in interesting and visually stimulating computer graphics.
Will you help us air The High Tide in Pennsylvania?

Standing toll and alone against adversity (the lies, the jokes, the attacks). Ron Paul is such a rare gem in this cynical society. What a principled man! If only for that, I, the independent thinker, declare myself his proud follower.
This is exactly the kind of imagery that leads people to believe that the campaign has been hijacked. It's creepy and over the top drama that we do not need.
The situation facing our nation is dire enough without making it a sci-fi vignette. One of the mistakes made by the campaign was their failure to present RP as a candidate the average American could identify with and support. They allowed too many people in the tent who used the campaign as a springboard for their own, sometimes fringe, sometimes just plain nutty, ideas and essentially torpedoed RP as a serious candidate. This kind of production only furthers that stereotype.
As a RP supporter from the beginning, I am embarrassed by this kind of stuff and I sincerely hope it dies a quick death before too many people see it.
