Florida Property Tax Fiasco How polticians did it again to the taxpayers and have done nothing to alleviate property taxesby Al

The Florida Legislature has done it again to the taxpayers. They had another opportunity to be able to truly help alleviate homeowners from these outrageous increases in the tax and yet failed to do anything.
?Time and time again promises were made about how we the taxpayer were going to be better off. Yet the time came and went. The typical Florida Taxpayer is not going to see any substantial savings. Caps to raise taxes oinstead of being at 3% with then a referendum by the people, these politicians increased the cap to ten percent. This gives local governments to once again go on spending sprees specially if the voters approve the proposed ammnedment to the constitution which it really does do nothing for relief.
Again the Senate torpedoed any other proposals specially made by the House and told the representatives to either take it or there would be nothing. Again it was?rammed?through by these so called representatives of the people.
From all appearnces and by their actions, the interests of the Senators sem to be with the municipalities and not with the people.
Remember, next year's elections Floridians have the opportunity to vote those who went against the people's wishes and to elect those in which take the people's interests over special interests.?

Welcome to the Nolan Chart, Al. We're glad you are here!
You might take a little time in your article to describe the circumstances surrounding the Florida tax. Those of us who don't live in Florida might not be up-to-speed about it. I know that I'm not.
