Topic: Ron Paul
Dear Penthouse, Ron Paul Has Dropped Out...

This article details why the prospect of five more months of false stories about how Ron Paul has disappointed his fickle supporters who are looking for an excuse for their own dropping out reminds me of letters in the Penthouse readers column. All fantasy, no substance.

It would be wonderful if more Nolan Chart authors could learn to write about what IS happening or maybe their perspective on what HAS happened or even about what they HOPE will happen but this constant writing about what they HOPE will happen as if it has already happened is childish.

Such defeatist whining only paints an image of its author; it says nothing about Dr. Paul or the motives of his staunch GOP conservative activist supporters.

If anyone needs a scapegoat for the reason reality is as it is today, look in the mirror.  That person is the only one we have any control over.  So what are you going to DO about it?  Whine?  Blame Dr. Paul?  You're only as futile as you feel.  Argue for your limitations and they're yours, blah, blah, blah.  You've heard it all before but still choose to be a victim.  Well, every day is a new day. Those who feel futile enough long enough become liberals who want the government to take care of them.  It sounds like a lot of supposed Paul supporters have succumbed to that liberal mind rot already.

Its a package deal that some find daunting to the point of futility.  If one has the spine to take responsibility for pursuing goals, he also shoulders the burden of ACTION.  No longer can others be blamed; their actions no longer determine your emotional state or your behavior.  One can only make choices about personal behavior.  Whining about the choices one has made and blaming others for not achieving specific desired results is just plain pathetic.

If life hands you lemons, hook up with someone that life gave vodka; then both of you get your asses to the next GOP meeting and start promoting your positive conservative values in your community.  People who are doing this one simple, necessary action are far less likely to be whining about what someone else did or did not do.

If the reader cannot understand the difference between promoting their own principles and blaming others, I apologize for the time wasted reading this article.  But hey, if you insist on writing fantasy, make is juicer!

Though I don't condone vodka and politics (both are bad for your health) I do appreciate your message.  There are many Defeatists among us and that isn't going to get Ron Paul any closer to the White House(metaphorically speaking).

Lemon + vodka = Go to GOP meeting

Nice math. I won't be going to GOP anything. The next meeting that I'll be going to is Libertarian. While you star-struck Ron Paul sheeple are banging your heads against a brick wall in the GOP, I'll be helping the Libertarian Party grow.

I 100% agree with the sentiment of this article.

I am still working on being a delegate to the national convention in St. Paul, MN

Well, yet again...

If I was a betting man, I'd say this game is rigged.

I now no longer care what happens, because I am leaving America. This has been a "Great Experiment", but in the end the odds really are all on the house.

Bye bye, have fun going bankrupt.

Loddi - he wasn't talking to you. It is the result of individuals doing things - whatever they are - that will produce the end product. Those who have committed to the GOP process is who he is talking about. Those who feel their best use is in growing the LP have their own row to hoe. Is it effective? In my mind, no absolutely not I find the LP a complete waste of time, but that could change over time and those who use the LP have different motivations than I do. Those who have different goals or desires or leanings will have a hard time gauging whether those actions are "practical" if they are only considering their own motivations.

This article *i think* is directed at those who committed to the GOP process, necessary for success, then when the going got a little tough for them, they blame their own lack of tenacity on Dr. Paul. That's just a pansy way of handling it no matter what you think about the goal or the action. Pansies, I say! Another way of looking at it would be someone who signed up for the LP and got all dreamy about success, then when they realized there was a long way to go and work to do they just dropped out and whine that the LP isn't "doing it" for them anymore. PANSIES all around.
