Small Steps If Ron Paul is to be an historical footnote, let's make it a good oneby Random Outlier

The following resolution will be submitted to the Republican Party of (secret) County, (top secret State) at its convention this Saturday:
--------
WHEREAS: United States Representative Ron Paul, Republican of Texas, exhibited exceptional courage in seeking the Republican nomination for President of the United State against insuperable odds, and
WHEREAS: Representative Paul actively campaigned for said nomination in a civil fashion without recourse to personal attack, and
WHEREAS: Representative Paul garnered nearly nine per support at this county's January caucus despite his overwhelming disadvantages, including a near blackout by media, and
WHEREAS: Representative Paul served the Republican Party by articulating many traditional Republican principles sometimes ignored in recent decades, among them free markets, honest currency, and reluctance to undertake unnecessary foreign adventures, therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Republican Party of (ultra secret) County (omni secret uber alles State), expresses its admiration for United State Representative Ron Paul, Republican of Texas.
-------------------------
See what one little man can do?
It probably will not pass, but but at least a few folks in the neocom heaven where I live will go on record with pleasant generalities about Dr. Paul while opposing the resolution on some New Right-pleasing grounds.
That's progress, maybe more progress for the cause than the 3,000-word opus, intensely and densly reasoned, that I was thinking of writing tonight.
Say, some of you libertarian/GOPers may have a convention coming up, eh?
