Huck Ducks, Paul Persists Ron Paul and John McCain -- Out of a field of about a dozen, now there are only two who remain... Who will quit next? Don't be too sure!by creator

ManyMost Virtually ALL writers have already written Ron Paul off completely in the race for the White House - stating flatly that its just plain over. Most drew that conclusion weeks ago. Some came to that point just tonight when Mike Huckabee bowed out of the race, promising his support to liberal, unelectable John McCain.
I wouldn't chalk this one up to the history books just yet, Dear Reader. Ron Paul has promised to stay in the race all the way to the Republican National Convention, as long as he has supporters and funds. I continue to believe that he is a man of his word, and therefore he still has at least ONE supporter. And, as the saying goes, "God works in mysterious ways." It's a long time until the RNC.
And so, in closing, I recommend that you all just "stay tuned" for future interesting developments.

Ron Paul just won our precinct! 21 votes for the next round at the county convention--I wonder how many other precincts across Texas and other states are sending Ron Paul delegates to the next level? I'm definitely staying tuned!
Yes, but have you looked at his donations recently? They are decreasing steadily, and are approaching ZERO... which means he will have the near-perfect excuse to bow out.
Evidence shows that with ZERO campaign events (not even a press release since Feb 23rd? That's over a WEEK!) and virtually NO money spent on advertising... the Ron Paul campaign in essence conceded and stopped dead in its tracks on February 8th.
The rest is just an "I wanna break up, but we can still be friends." Just a BS line because the campaign staff are [literally] afraid of what many of the supporters might do if they "officially" ended the campaign... easier to simply run down the clock, and draw down the remaining money in salaries while doing all of ...well nothing really. (Which shouldn't be hard, as they've done virtually all of "nothing" really since New Hampshire.)
Dr. Paul will stay in the race, even if it is at a snails pace. He did take the time to defend his seat, landslide victory BTW so at least some voters know a good Representative when they see one. I'm am thrilled he won tonight and now will do all I can to push for every Ron Paul supporter to focus on the positive by finding new candidates to send to the House and join Ron Paul in the Liberty Caucus. We need to give him more members in the House this year, 2010, and 2012 (if he doesn't retire before then).
Remember, he still has probably $6 Million, which is likely enough to get him to the convention. There are few primaries left, and he doesn't have to worry about his congressional race, since I believe he is now unopposed. He would win anyway, of course, if the dems threw someone out against him. His constituents are no dummies! And, as he said in his video from a few weeks back, a lot can happen between now and the convention. March on, patriots! We have a country to save!
Marianne, District 50-A results 3 of 10 state delegates are solid Ron Paul.Perhaps 3 more delegates seeing Huckabee dropped out tonight.Of 20 alternates, I think 7-10 may be Ron Paul; we have to have some clarification tomorrow. Congressional Got 5 of 20 delegates are solid Ron PaulOf 20 alternates, we got 8 solid and perhaps 3 more from presidential attrition. We are verifying the delegate’s presidential preferences There is so much anti McCain on our area. Ron Paul continues to get additional delegates from presidential attrition. We had a per BPOU caucus meeting at a local pizza joint last week. One Huckabee supporter took my suggestion, she go to Ron Paul website. (The site sells Ron Paul without much effort on our part). Tonight she came running up to me saying I did my research and am all charged up to be a Ron Paul delegate. We added her to our Ron Paul slate and she got elected alternate. In closing: identify Ron Paul supporters prior to a convention. Meet prior to conventions, get a strategy, and use a Ron Paul slate. Just knowing who and what you are going to vote about makes all the difference in the world. The party leadership figured out what the Ron Paul delegation is up to, the fun thing for me was: I being the Ron Paul leader, (you are doing a lot of walking around the convention) and very forward personality the party leadership did not confront me or stifle our delegation voting efforts. I am sending the delegate list tomorrow via email. Tim, Minnesota

Dr. Paul, said all along that we needed to get him to the convention, this can still happen. Even if he doesnt get the nod, can you imagine how much coverage a brokered convention would get? This would at least give Dr. Paul a chance to get his "stump speech" of LIBERTY and FREEDOM out to the masses, not just questions about 9/11 and gold coins. Keep the faith patriots, go read Crisis in America by Paine again tonight and replace Parliment with Congress and the King with the noe-conn regime, and you will be willing to fight on another day.
