Paul Campaign Leaning Toward Doing Infomercial

The Ron Paul campaign is apparently being deluged by supporter contacts asking about the progress regarding the infomercial proposed by Hollywood Closeups.

Jim LeFave, head of TV syndication at Hollywood Closeups, told me that he had just gotten off the phone with Jeff Greenspan, regional coordinator for the Paul campaign. LeFave said that Greenspan told him:

"Jim, I've been getting calls and e-mails, hundreds, asking about the progress of this. I can't find your proposal, I believe in it, and I want to present it."

Once it was clear that only a simple miscommunication had stalled the process, LeFave immediately re-sent the proposal to Greenspan's attention.

Apparently the infomercial idea, which I previously reported after an interview with LeFave one week ago, has taken off among Paulites like a house afire. I can confirm based on web traffic to this website that the idea discussed in the article is indeed a popular concept. The article I wrote has the most "thumbs up" of any article yet posted on the Nolan Chart website and is fifth all time (#1 to the article I wrote about 1,000 volunteers going to New Hampshire) in terms of number of readers of the article. Over 3,000 different people have seen and read that article to date.

The concept has also picked up traction at blogs and websites all across the Internet. Thus it is no surprise that the Paul campaign has been flooded with inquiries about it. As soon as I get more information about the Paul campaign's response to the proposal, my loyal readers will be the first to hear about it!

We need this badly.  Run it in Iowa and New Hampshire!

Do it! This is a great idea! This will reach a lot of people and allow RP to speak without the gatekeeping, bowdlerization, and censorship of the media. People can see him without the distortion that usually comes with regular news reports.

The campaign has the money.  The donors want it spent.  Do it.
