Although there is no official campaign office in the Lone Star State, Texas has a strong presence working for Ron Paul.
Recognizing the potential synergy of both of Ron Paul's campaigns in the state, Dallas Ron Paul Meetup Group Leader Jarrod Atkinson has created a PAC called "TOPIC" - Texans Organized for Protecting the Integrity of the Constitution.
TOPIC's goal is to strongly support candidates who support the Constitution. In the short term, this translates to helping win both Texas Primaries for Ron Paul. They are working towards this by creating literature, setting up phone banks, ordering signs, and directing funds to meetup groups statewide for worthy grassroots projects such as providing housing and support for willing volunteers from out of state who have heard the call to come and help the campaign.
Will Penny, a veteran of Ron Paul campaigns in both New Hampshire and Nevada, recently joined TOPIC.
"When I arrived at the Dallas offices I was very impressed. The grassroots offices in Dallas are bigger and better than what I saw for the official campaign offices in either of those states. We are calling the effort to get volunteers and donations for the Texas grassroots efforts 'Operation Come and Take It.' It's a fitting title that originated as the slogan of the Texas revolution."
You can help with this "Texas Twofer" by donating or by heading south yourself to help with the canvassing leading up to election day.
"A lot is at stake here; Ron Paul's congressional seat, 140 presidential delegates, and the legacy of this movement as a whole. Name recognition is the greatest battle we have to fight on the presidential front because of the mainstream media's black out of Paul. However, once people are aware of Paul's track record and the fact that he's a Texan they are very receptive -- Texans love other Texans.
These problems are significant, but Penny is optimistic:
"We have a lot going for us: The largest and most organized meetup groups in the nation, donations and volunteers coming in out of state, and the fact that Texas has a VERY low voter turnout for presidential primaries. So the people we are mobilizing could really tip the scales in Paul's favor."
Of Will Penny, Atkinson had this to say:
"I’m glad that Will is onboard with us. He has a great drive and determination and will be an asset to us and to our collective cause."
After March 4th, TOPIC will help continue the Ron Paul movement by supporting candidates with a strong Constitutional philosophy, acting as "watchdogs," and keeping the general public educated about Constitutional issues.
If you are interested in volunteering to help in this effort, you can contact TOPIC PAC here. Working for Dr. Paul in Texas gives you a "Two For One" good deal!

Quote from above ~ "Name recognition is the greatest battle we have to fight on the presidential front because of the mainstream media's black out of Paul"
The argument (from some) for remaining in the Republican Party appears to be defeated by that statement. I thought being a Republican was suppose to lend credibility and attention to a campaign. Why are they (MSM) blacking him out?
