Metaphorically Writing: an Art

I love metaphors, mixed or otherwise. I will share them with you when I find particularly good ones.

One of my favorite libertarian writers is David Weigel at Reason Magazine.  He gave us this nice 1-2 punch on McCain and Huckabee this week:

  • "The Huckabee-McCain choice is basically a choice between third-degree burns and skin cancer . . ."
  • "I'm still expecting McCain to win [the nomination] and for any win to be covered as a Caesarian triumph."
One of my college degrees was in literature, so I love figurative speech -- particularly when it skewers a non-libertarian or two.
