Just Say No-To the Incumbent

Tired of the same old rhetoric? Do you want to shake things up? There is just one day to show up at the polls and one thing to do.

Let's face it. Every politician seeking office promises it. None deliver it. I am talking about change.

We know what does not work. The Republican Party does not work. The Democratic Party does not work. Federal government does not work. State government does not work. Local government does not work. School boards are failing to make the grade. A Republican President and Republican Senate and Congress produces poor results. A Democratic President and Republican House and Senate fair no better. We can make any combination and the results will be the same.

My incumbent senators have done me no favors. Supporting amnesty for illegal immigration until the voters were protesting outside their doors. Announcing their support for John McCain in a state that was won by Mike Huckabee, they are clearly out of step with their constituents. It's a damn shame I cannot vote against both of them this election cycle.

Perhaps it is no longer correct to blame the organizations or the parties. Instead, we most put the blame where it is due. We must place the blame en masse on those that currently hold office. The incumbents fight to maintain the status quo. But the blame does not lie with them.

Instead we must blame ourselves. It is you and I that walk into the voting booth and vote for the incumbent. And we hold the key to change all of that.

We can change things despite media blackouts, despite biased and unfair reporting, despite a lack of face time in the debates. You will not have to contribute another dime to another campaign to make it happen. You will not have to listen to one more debate. You do not need term limits to make it happen for you.

Are you willing to commit to real change? Will you accept the challenge and vote for any candidate but an incumbent? Or will you continue to be part of the problem, because your senator or congressman is ok, but it's the other guy's candidate that needs to go?

You cannot have it both ways. You can be part of the solution, or part of the problem. What are you going to be?

Feel free to leave your comments on what you are going to do. I am going to be voting for a change across the board. I am just saying NO to the Incumbent. If we all did this, we would have a real change.

And by doing this we can break the rigged system of elections once and for all. We can retake the power we once had. We can do this now. We do not have to wait another year. Think about it.

I agree with imposing term limits on incumbants by popular vote.  I don't think it will solve the problem though.  It may be purely vindictive...not that there's anything wrong with that.  :-)

The problem is that the political pipeline is clogged with aspiring neocons.  The work that it takes to dislodge them and replace them with Paul-like conservatives is daunting.  It takes weekly involvement in your local GOP.  It takes volunteering to help with campaigns for folks who step up as Paul-wing conservatives.  It takes grooming them, canvassing for them, speaking them up at every opportunity.

The work that it takes is one reason for 3rd parties.  It takes little or no work to select a Green candidate when everyone vying for the position is a Green.  So it is easy and fun and it yields all the results it earns.  Zero.

The Ron Paul revolution has pumped up the GOP with young, willing conservatives who are doing the work already.  Our goal is to replace that neocon pipeline entirely before the 2012 elections.  Sooner if possible.  We'll be launching a voluntary organization geared towards this success in just  a few weeks.  Watch for The Alphaville Decoder if you want to help with this effort.

I think it would take little or no work to also oust the incumbents.  We have elections every two years in this nation.  Let's start turning over the congressional offices.  Let's change the balance of power now.

I am beginning to think that we are not really seeking change if we continue as we have reelecting  the same people to Congress.

A 90%+  reelection rate for Congress? Your congressman and senators are that good?

Saying No to an incumbent is not the same as saying Yes to another.  We have the right to say No to any or all candidates!

Do you doubt it?  If so you are victim of state & MSM propaganda!
