Ron Paul: Restore the Constitution Rally

Help Ron Paul lead Americans back towards support for the Constitution. Re-education should be the goal.

Ron Paul has asked us to march on Washington. Walt Thiessen has suggested June 21st, the 220th anniversary of the Constitution.

I say rally the troops.  Ron Paul has opened the eyes of hundreds of thousands of Americans to the wayward course American policy is headed. His leadership has united many formerly divergent groups of discontented citizens with the message of peace, prosperity, and liberty.

Will a march propel the movement to the attention of mainstream America?  How will we ensure that armchair Americans will be forced to hear our message?  By making this a rally so large that we cannot be ignored.  The march needs a slogan, and that slogan has to be larger than just Ron Paul.

Focusing the rally on Ron Paul, the leader who helped unite a varied crowd of anti-establishment interests is a good idea - it will undoubtedly not have enough people-power to move that mountain that blocks our way. Why not expand our expectations. Make this about a movement that cannot be scoffed at or ignored.  Let us call it the "Restore the Constitution Rally".   Ron Paul will be the leader of the rally, he has earned that right, but make the focus a return to constitutional governance and we can reach out to all Americans with the goal of re-educating America about the Constitution. That is a noble goal I would gladly support with my time and money, and I suggest it has the broad appeal to draw hundreds of thousands.

How about calling it the "Ron Paul Constitutional Convention"? Or some variation of that.

Any thoughts on the Libertarian Party co-sponsoring it?

That sounds like a really great idea.  A Consititution rally would gather way more people than a Ron Paul for president rally.  For instance, my parents both voted for Mitt Romney and so probably wouldn't be too interested in a Ron Paul rally, but they still beleive in holding to the constitution and would probably be very interested and inspired by a rally to bring politics in general back to fallowing the constitution.

With such a huge turnout we could bring huge attention to the movement, while at the same time bringing some attention to Dr. Paul as the main speaker.  Dr. Paul himself did say something about needing to focus more on the larger long term goals than his campaign for president.  I hope this idea is something we can all really rally behind, literally.

It's really so sad that I'm so inspired by this idea but the chances of me attending are so low since I'll probably be in Norway.

Oh well, I hope this all works out.

We need to welcome everyone that thirsts for Liberty. Those that are anti-war, anti-state and pro_free markets. We all have something that we can agree on and that's the constitution.

Republican Consitution Rally
Non-Republicans are welcome.

Why must Ron Paul's supporters "go somewhere" as many suggest that we must?
"Going somewhere" is exactly what will truly dismiss our ideas from the Republican party and the American government once and for all.

We will STAY IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.
If we leave the Republican party, we truly lose.
If we quit when they reject us, we truly lose.
If we abandon our newly gained influence, we truly lose.
We will be unwavering in the rejection of our ideas.
We will persist.
We will work within the system and obey the law.
We will grow in our numbers and continue to spread our ideas.

They want us gone. We must stay; however, we are not bound to vote for the Republican candidate in the general election. We will remain Ron Paul Republicans. Imagine the sizable impact that a changed Republican party can make. A Republican party without us is a Republican party without our ideas.

We will talk to Republicans and help them realize that "the emperor has no clothes," converting Republicans to "Ron Paul Republicans." The Republican party -- this powerful vessel -- is full of people voting with direction given to them by the conglomerated media. We will give the voters some direction.

Yes, I realized too late that I spelled "Constitution" incorrectly.

Definitely an open appeal to the Constitution Party, but Ron Paul's campaign should be appealing to all and without a doubt open to all, so to even talk about groups of people at all is an assault to a big part of his message. This is my favorite compilation of Ron Paul's voice, I'd like to meet whoever put this together.

I am at the front door with everything that is wrong with this nation. my state is bankrupt. we harbor some of the most dangerous cities not just in america, but in the entire industrial world. all because of the lack of respect for the constitution. its time to take the power back and punish all responsible for the terrible mess we are in. not only monetarily but also from a humantarian way.

We should do everything we can to broaden the appeal of our "Restore the Constitution" rally. Civil Liberties and Anti-war groups should be invited to send speakers - as long as the focus is on our founding document and the endangered rights that document guarantees.

The revolution march is vital to taking over our government structure.  We need a huge show of force in DC on the 21st. of june.

We can take over the government from the bottom up, just as effectively as from the top down. Realize that if the house and senate majorities are Ron Paul conservatives, which is to mean members who WE vote into office running on RPs platform, then we have areal voice like it's supposed to be.  Abuses by a president would be a lot less likely and impeachment power would be a reality once again.

This revolution can take back our country by democratically rooting out fascism and replacing congress and senate with members who obey the constitution.

We need to stick together, march together and increase our numbers.

For the name of the demonstration, how about “I do Solemnly Swear that I will Support the Constitution of the United States.” This is the entire oath of office for Senators, a most basic promise to the American people.  Why have so many forgotten or ignored this single promise.  Can it really be that Ron Paul the only member who uses the constitution as the guide to his public service? I have another question.  Who will organize the rally?  Dr. Paul is the head line speaker, but who else will join him?  (Judge Andrew P. Napolitano, Trevor Lyman, John Mayer, Barry Goldwater Jr.)        As you might have guessed, I’m ready for this!

The media tries to pretend that Ron Paul does not exist. The media should not choose our next president. Ron Paul has a lot more support then everyone wants to admit. I live in AZ and was not able to vote for him in our Primary because of our state rules (that’s right I can’t vote for who I want). There have also been stories of his name being "accidentally left off the ballot" and people making up statements that he has dropped out of the campaign. THE GOVERNMENT IS AFRAID OF A CANDIDATE LIKE RON PAUL.  HE SUPPORTS THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY AND OUR RIGHTS. How could anyone really vote for someone who thinks that we should be in Iraq for the next 100 years? Then on to Iran? How many more people have to die for special interests? If we actually needed our troops in the U.S. we wouldn’t even have any available to protect us. They are all in other countries where they should not be. Bring our troops home and protect our borders. Why even waste anymore time? We do not have the right to be the police of the world nor should we. We our destroying our own economy by fighting wars that we can't win.

Our Government prints money out of thin air and borrows more from other countries then we can ever pay back which is killing us and the value of our dollar is rapidly dropping. Do you really think that the government brainwashed zombies and liars have done a good job with our country so far? Bush has been one of the worst presidents in history. You all fell for his BS. He used the emotions of our country after 9/11 to put us in a war that benefits him, his friends, and his family members.  Why allow them to throw us further down? Fighting wars that can never be won and wasting our hard earned money on their special interests. The companies that get bids to do jobs in countries where we are at war, they get over paid, and the money trail always comes back to people in the Government that are in some way affiliated with that company.

ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO RIGHT TO TAX US. THEY TAKE OUR MONEY AND USE IT FOR THEIR INTERESTS. THEY SPEND OUR TAX MONEY ON WHATEVER THEY WANT. Then they want to send us a small check to keep us quiet. Its time for us all to stand up for ourselves and fight this!!!

IT IS TIME FOR EVERY CITIZEN IN THIS COUNTRY TO COME TOGETHER AND STOP ALLOWING OUR GOVERNMENT TO TREAT US LIKE SLAVES. RON PAUL IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE THAT CARES ABOUT YOU.
