Ron Paul: Going the Distance--This is the Link Where Ron Paul calls for a March on Washington. Here are some thoughts for how to make this happen.
1. Spread the word. Every Social Networking Group, Every Meetup Group, Via Email, Writing Local Papers (ironically, www.gop.com a great tool for sending out mass letters to the editor of local papers under the get involved tab).
2. Help everyone else get there. Some people don't have the means to come themselves. Nothing would prove the idea of limited government and helping others less fortunate than we are more than making sure we do all we can to get all of our fellow supporters there--regardless of their personal incomes.
Are up and running. I guess the Free Market will decide which becomes the official site. Both sites offer a way to pledge that you will come (I personally like the ronpaulmarch.com better because it's organized by meetup group, but the revolutionmarch.com site looks more like what we're used to) but there is no way to contribute to the cause of getting others there.
I have no idea how to build a website, but if someone actually does, please email me and you are more than welcome to build it if you are actually qualified. I just bought it before someone else who didn't want to see this happen could. One Request I have for whoever builds it is that an ad from Amazon be placed there for Ron Paul's new Book called "The Revolution: A Manifesto" that is coming out soon.
I already started the Chipin event, but getting it onto these well named pages is key.
There is no contribution limit when contributing to what Dr. Paul called, "The Race to Save the Country" so we can do a great service by getting others there.
3. Decide a Date. June 8th has been suggested already (which is two days after my birthday and D-Day so I would enjoy that) as has July 4th. At least everyone would be off on our Independence Day, but would they be willing to use it to come to D.C.? You decide. Debate it at ronpaulmarch.com and let's find out.
4. Remember that it took the Neo-Cons nearly 40 years to seize control of the Republican Party and America. Although our revolution won't take nearly that long, this is not going to be an easy fight. Nothing worth having ever comes easily.
5. This is Risky, as Dr. Paul said in his video. High Risk equals high return. The odds are against us, but the odds were against another group of Patriots 232 years ago as well.
It's time to stand up and be counted on something besides a website or electronic voting machine. Where will you tell your kids and grandkids you were on the day the music was born?
