Ron Paul, Commander in Chief of a growing army of American freedom fighters, yesterday gave a stirring speech to rally the troops. Aware that an army can be all too easily demoralized by circumstances and setbacks, Dr. Paul recognized and responded to the urgent need for bolstering the "troop morale" of his supporters.
"It is about one year since the presidential campaign started." he stated. "Our numbers keep growing and the funds keep coming in."
As an antidote to pundits who have been claiming that he has quit, Dr. Paul had this to say:
"The campaign is going to continue. This campaign is not over! Although there is a declaration now that there is a "so-called winner," but you know it's not over until it's over!"
He went on to clarify that with Super Tuesday behind us, his attention has been temporarily diverted to defending his congressional seat. This is of significant and essential importance in the overall fight for liberty. While this defense will briefly take some of his efforts away from the presidential race, it does not supplant or replace that race or the long-term struggle to restore American liberty.
Of the apparent setbacks and difficulties of the presidential campaign, he mentioned Mitt Romney's abrupt departure, and referring to the apparent success of remaining competitors John McCain and Mike Huckabee, Dr. Paul offered these words of hope:
"All of a sudden things change!We don't know what will happen --- there may be a lot of information on the other two candidates that will come out that will alter this election completely and totally."
He spoke of recent surprisingly positive articles from a few well-known writers and media sources indicating that "We're winning the battle for the hearts and minds of the Republican party and the independents and those who are really concerned about America."
Dr. Paul strongly asserted that there are actually two issues in play -- one is to have the largest possible delegate count at the upcoming convention, but the other and perhaps arguably more important is winning our country back in the long term:
"If we drop the ball now, if we fade away and disappear, all the work and effort in this last year could be lost... [we must] stay in this race, do what we can, adjust on a daily basis."
He did not try to minimize the task at hand:
"It is a major task. We're running a race to save the country, to change the direction of the country, to preserve our constitution, to change our foreign policy - so it is an overwhelming task."
Paul had words of encouragement and sincere appreciation for all the hard work done by so many for so long:
"I am delighted that so many of you have stood by, and continued to work... out in the field doing the work and the volunteering... this is exactly what we need, so I compliment you and thank you for that very strong support! Our message is winning... We believe in freedom!"
He went on to say that freedom and peace naturally lead to prosperity, and explained how our nation is at the brink of financial ruin.
Dr. Paul then presented an electrifying idea. He called for a march on the very center of power, Washington DC itself. He said that what we need is an inarguable show of force, strength of numbers, real people in "a grand display." While allowing that attempting this show of numbers would be "risky" -- he indicated that if the numbers materialize, such a march would be powerful and have a lasting impact.
"We have to do something major... A true march to show what our numbers are... Send a powerful message.... People remember the grand rallys.... We have to make a grand stand - we have to stand firm and be counted... We are at the crossroads... They know we are a force."
He stated that we need to do this right and to have a "grand rally" and march. Done right, there will be a very, very significant benefit that could possibly acrue later on at the national convention:
"If.. there are Question marks left with our nominees in September for the convention, then they will know that we can't be ignored.... I hope everybody will join... Take a stand for freedom so that nobody can ignore us... There is no reason in the world that we should back off, it is time to march forward!"
Will you stand and march? Will you be a visible, audible, tangible part of American history? Will you rally to the call of freedom? Start preparing now to march!

Our founders pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to the cause of liberty. Let us now begin preparing to "storm the capitol" in a massive uprising of free Americans! Let us march and rally to insure that our voices are heard, for the sake of our own liberty and for the lives and freedom and peace of our children and grandchildren for generations to come!

What Dr. Paul is talking about is a show of numbers so vast that it would shut down the city. Numbers so great that we could not be ignored. Numbers so mind bending that the nation would see us for the first time and wonder, "What are they so upset about?". With these numbers the real questions could finally be asked!!! I am going, and I can't even afford it. Give me a date! I am with you all !!!!!!!
It would have been nice last weekend, before the DC, MD and VA primaries today.
Someone needs to get out a calendar and plan these events strategically. It's nice the candidate is tossing out ideas to the net. But that isn't quite a plan for winning.
If you're looking for a date, March 1st is the Saturday before the Texas primary on Mar 4. March First, ask questions later.
Dallas, Houston and Austin would be major cities. The weather would be better there than in DC or NY. You can get TV time and influence the votes in Ron Paul's home state.
I'd suggest San Antonio, but you'd get too many jokes about the Alamo.
We need a date....that is the most important thing to get the ball rolling. Preferrably we need a date that is significant, July the 4th would be ideal, but it might be a bit hard to get permits for that time.

Is it going to be May 26th Memorial Day... or should we wait till July 4th... Paulitics is a Battle, The War Marches Ron!!!! If we dont make on the ballot prepare to start the campaign to Write In Ron in November...
On June 21st, 1788, New Hampshire was the 9th state to ratify the Constitution. The best day to have this march would be the 220th anniversary of this event, June 21st, 2008.
CAN WE COORDINATE WITH ROP PAUL CAMPAIGN AND GET THE DATE FOR THE MARCH JUNE 21? IT IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE RATIFICATION OF THE CONSITUTION. IT WOULD BE AFTER SCHOOLS ARE OUT, WHEN ANYONE COULD PARTICIPATE. EARLIER WOULD LEAVE PARENTS STRANDED AND WE NEED AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.
BUSES... we are going to need lots and lots of buses, and a website to co-ordinate buses from every state for anyone wanting to goto the rally. Our ability to bring people to this event will drive fear into our opposition. Any celebrity types that you can get will be a huge boost, and celebritys willing to perform at the event in particular. The blimp is a must. We will need at least one big stage and at least one huge tent. Also, we have to get porta-toilets setup around the national mall. Plan to come a day or two in advance. Parking is available at the many metro(light rail) stations throughout the DC area, and the national mall is a short metro ride away.
Advise people to bring:
-food & water for 3 days
-camcorder/camera
-poncho/umbrella & towel
-tent/camper
-white shirt or sash
-toilet paper
-pepper spray (DC is a rough town), but NO WEAPONS.
Dear Creator,
It is imparative that we set up a date right now! As a ron paul supporter from South Dakota I must insist that we march for July 4, 2008 after our regiment has captured the South Dakota Caucus. For after June 3rd there will be support from the Rushmore State to march hand-in-hand. This year will mark the 232 year of our independance and as it has always been the case throughout our history the struggle for a more perfect union continues, let us make this years anniversary no different.
