Remember the Alamo, Ron Paul

Ron Paul must make his stand in his home-state of Texas.

"The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion otherwise the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken — I have answered their demand with a cannon shot, and our flag still waves proudly from the walls — I shall never surrender or retreat," wrote Lieutenant Colonel Travis in the final dispatches before his death at the Alamo.

"The siege of Alamo took place at the Alamo Mission in February and March of 1836 during the ‘Texas Revolution'. The battle took place at a turning point in the Texas Revolution, which had begun with the October 1835 Consultation whose delegates narrowly approved a call for rights under the Mexican Constitution. The delegates from the Alamo to the Constitutional Convention were both instructed to vote for independence." (Wikipedia - Alamo)

"The defenders of the Alamo came from many places besides Texas. The youngest, Galba Fuqua, was 16, and one of the oldest, Gordon C. Jennings, was 57. The men came from 28 different countries and U.S. states." (Wikipedia - Alamo)  Not a single American soldier survived the Alamo.

March 4, almost 172 years later to the date, Ron Paul's Alamo begins. The Texas primary. This is where we make our stand.  Winner-take-all, 140 delegates, the exact amount of delegates needed to put John McCain over the top. We all know that if John McCain were around for the Alamo, he would've saddled up with the Mexican side.

Ron Paul is surrounded by liars, miscreants, bankers, scoundrels, killers and thieves. His followers desert him against such odds. Not me, I'll be damned if I don't follow him right into that fort and await the onslaught. This time in Texas, however, the good guys win.

Texans, on March 4, 2008, rescue America again. Remember your native son Ron Paul, remember Galba Fuqua and always ‘Remember the Alamo'.
