Giuliani is NOT a Conservative

This article exposes 5 basic ways Rudy Giuliani should be every conservative's worst nightmare
by Jahfre Fire Eater

Saturday, November 3, 2007

This article was inspired as a response to a recent article at Politico.com titled:

Right can win with President Giuliani

Rudy Giuliani is simply another liberal Republican (more commonly and less accurately called neo-conservative even though there is nothing conservative about them). During a recent televised debate, when asked point blank to describe how he differs from Hillary Clinton all he could do was sputter "Are you kidding me?" ...three times. He never even attempted to answer. Obviously, he is the male alter-ego of Mrs. Clinton so no relevant distinction was possible. His sycophantical press let him get away with no answer at all.

Mayor Giuliani is the poster child for how the GOP has lost its way. The very notion that a straight-up mainstream liberal can be the front runner for the GOP nomination must have former conservative presidents spinning in their graves.

A conservative is not conjured from the flesh by self- assertions or media labels. A conservative must uphold, at a MINIMUM, these five principles:

  1. The Rule of Law
  2. Individual Liberty
  3. Limited Government
  4. Free Markets
  5. Strong National Defense

Rudy Giuliani upholds NONE of these principles. Not a single one. He can be counted as a conservative only by a perverted stretch of imagination.

Here is how Rudy stacks up:

  1. The Rule of Law - No. Rudy believes in the liberal philosophy of the rule of man, a single dictator or a small group of sovereign rulers for whom the Rule of Law does not apply and by whom the law is made.
  2. Individual Liberty - No. Rudy's use of the force of government includes trashing all semblance of a government of the people, for the people and by the people. The religious right are wise to fear this man. The freedom of religion is just another lever for his power. He will only support it until he finds it in his way.
  3. Limited Government - No. Rudy believes in big government. Like all liberals his ends justify his means. The liberal application of the force of government is his favorite means to a achieve his personal glory.
  4. Free Markets - No. Markets and their regulation/manipulation is another tool that Rudy would use at his supreme discretion to achieve his personal quest for glory.
  5. Strong National Defense - No. Rudy follows the liberal Republican doctrine of empire building; imposing the will of the US President on sovereign nations by any and all means at his disposal. This is not defense, this is belligerent aggression and Rudy is chomping at the bit to start bombing people he isn't smart enough to talk to. If you are afraid of hornets it is really stupid to start poking their nest at every opportunity. He and the rest of the liberals, both Democrats and Republican liberals, envision the future of America as one long war. That is the worst defense possible. Besides, after you've sacrificed the first 4 principles, what is left to defend? Breeders for the war effort?

Rudy Giuliani is a conservative's worst nightmare. He is, however, closely followed by the rest of the liberal Republican candidates. Even Pastor Huckabee, whose wholesome tele-evangelical personality may fool some gullible but decent folks, is a liberal when it comes to the application of the force of government to attain his personal glory. Being a Christian or upholding the right to life does not a conservative make. Holding those beliefs is irrelevant if one does not adhere to the 5 principles listed above.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who even understands what conservatism is and how one embodies its principles. The rest are merely liberals who happen to have registered as Republicans. Without the will and the means to uphold those five conservative principles, no peace or prosperity can be possible.

Please, as always, do not take my word, do your own research. You can start with this:

A Giuliani quotation, from a 1994 speech, sums up his philosophy:
"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it."

Nice read. Rudy is as much a conservative as he is Catholic- by name only. For that reason alone I would not vote for him because if he can deny his faith by being pro-abortion, and break his vow of fidelity- why would he honor an oath to protect my rights? I am a stranger to him unlike God and his wife.

Ron Paul is a humble man standing up to the mindset of dictitorial government. He keeps his word, has solid principles, convictions, and is just a decent man. On that reason alone I will support him...not to mention he is right.

Please support Congressman Paul. If you can contribute this November 5th or 11th, please do so. Send a postcard too: (Link Edited For Length)

"Rudy Giuliani is simply another liberal Republican (more commonly and less accurately called neo-conservative . . .)."

I think it's uncanny how easily distracted Americans are: they are exposed to the drum-beat of war on TV, and meanwhile language shape-shifts to the point where words take on their contrapositive ("free speech" -> "protected speech").

I see little hope for the future if they succeed on burying Ron Paul.

Rudy will eventually be a clone of Pakistani President Musharraf. I don't think he would hesitate to suspend the Constitution, stifle the media and arrest opposition and Judges for the sake of "terrorism". Rudy is a dangerous man.

Once again, Mr. Fire Eater, you have laid it out in a manner that even I can comprehend. I'm afraid of Rudy, instinctively, because he is trying to ride to the white house on the backs of dead firemen, policemen, and other 9-11 victims. "Americas Mayor" is a sickening opportunist.
