The door of opportunity is still open to the revolution by Edmund Mills

I'm opposed to any form of defeatism or any sentiment that insists that the Ron Paul revolution cannot win swiftly. The holy grail in our passionate mission is most certainly the 2008 Presidential victory and obviously our secondary goal is to increase our concentration on Congress. However, more and more I am reading supporter's words and seeing our secondary goal replacing our primary goal.
What we need to be doing as a grassroots community is to be vigorously searching for ever more bold macro strategies to win this election. Oh sure there are obstacles... media blackout.. preconceived notions.. misbehaved supporters with good intentions... external labeling and name calling... lack of voters up to this point... flat polling numbers... etc..
What we need since the hour is late and the political reception to our revolution is stubborn is action that will directly counter our biggest obstacles and provide a new avenue for new supporters among the demographics that we have not reached.
We need true revolutionary action of the non-violent nature. We need to gather. We need to speak. We need not events, we need An Event. We need to show magnitude. Now.
With the campaign being in something of a suspension, the timing is perfect. We can retract somewhat from the local focus and shift in a big way to something national. Something that will reach the multitudes and legitimize Ron Paul and his platform as a fair water cooler topic. We need to play the game that the national audience is accustomed to i.e. we need a spectacle.
...and what's more spectacular or provoking than the Truth? We need to put the Truth on the national stage for one shimmering moment in time. It is unexpected.
So unexpected that it amounts to a revolutionary act.
Imagine, if you will, if every bit of grassroots money and sweat and expertise was put into one moment, one summit. The scale would be enormous. The impact would be un-ignorable. The revolution will be amplified. Ideally, the notion of resistance to our government's unfair practices should increase in saturation and acceptance and Truth would hold the day.
Why is this a revolutionary action? The successful revolutionaries of old gained momentum through the mighty pen and through the art of the speech. They would rally patriots and take action. They demanded more than just a vow of support.
Why not stand up and show that the revolution is more than a presidential campaign and at the same time show that there is a presidential candidate who also happens to bare the torches of Truth and Liberty?
Why NOT sound a call to arms for our rights and liberty? Why NOT assemble peacefully but forcibly with words? Why NOT take physical action?
With the collective Ron Paul grassroots fund raising capability and many states no longer focusing on primaries, we could create a Truth Bomb or a M.O.A.T.B. if we put our minds to it.
Think what a couple million dollars in fundraising cash would do if focused on one event and one or two areas. Take into consideration the need for a bold and maybe drastic new strategy at this late stage in the race.
We need to all assemble, my vision includes two simultaneous events on two coasts where all peaceful Revolutionaries assemble and where brilliant minds present the economic and political Truths to the entire nation.
The colonial Revolutionaries and the Sons of Liberty assembled, rallied, generated supporters with speeches, and created the spectacle of the Boston Tea Party that could not be ignored. Martin Luther King Junior marched on Washington and created a spectacle of people captivated by the art of the speech and the power of Truth. The Million Man March was unable to be ignored. Where is our revolution's spectacle? When will be our defining moment?
I say it is time. Let us assemble the largest Truth spectacle that our young millennium has yet seen. How could we be ignored if we all marched and assembled? If the media ignored us this time it would be at their own peril. If they called us crazy then they would be speaking to the faces of thousands of people. Other name calling this time should backfire and only fan the flames of popularity that we are so lacking. Our reputation for misbehaved supporters should be replaced with a reputation for being able to organize on a massive scale. The national poll numbers couldn't possibly stay flat immediately after an event of this magnitude.
Most of the primaries are over. Ron Paul himself has to reprioritize both in his home district and to plan for the future of the movement. Only now do we have the opportunity and ability to do something like this and solidify the revolution. The drums must be heard and the banners must be waved.
Or we can just stick to our usual guns and hope for the best, but I'm willing to show my staunch support for Liberty in person to anybody who would deny it to me whether they be the media, the neighbor, or the tyrant. What about you?

I like what you're saying. I would suggest adding the idea that we think in terms of what we want to happen, rather than what we don't want to happen.
So often we focus on what we haven't wanted to happen...the major media might ignore us....the forces of collectivism might continue to build their collectivism if we fail...there are terrible things coming by having our country follow our current path...etc.
Instead, we should use these events to focus on what we want to happen....the troops coming home....allowing the introduction of hard currency and the benefits it brings....the benefits of restoring our liberties which have so recently been taken away....focusing on peace rather than anti-war....etc.

I have your new strategy right here:
Become a delegate.
Even if you are committed to another candidate (let's just say McCain) on the first round, I don't think McCain will have enough delegates. He has to win nearly half of all delegates from now until convention - not likely. The anti-McCain vote has shifted to Huckabee, but he is far behind, and probably won't get enough either. Ron Paul is wrong, it is a near certainty that this will be a brokered convention. Romney is still officially in the race, which means his delegates must vote for him in first round but he is out of the race in the public's mind, and is fading, which means that he may have fewer delegates than Ron Paul on the first round of balloting when this comes to convention. That is when you can legally, honorably, switch your vote to someone else.
Rules vary state-by-state, some require 2 rounds of balloting, one or two may require 3 rounds, I'm not sure which ones. Early results indicate that Ron Paul, while getting only 21% in the "beauty contest" vote in WA, may have actually gotten 50% of the delegates. This would be because the other candidates got lot of votes in only a few districts, while Dr. Paul got just enough votes in lots of districts.
Nor is Washington state the only place this has happened. remember Louisianna? Don't be fooled by the primary vote percentages - they really mean nothing. It is the delegates who will vote in St. Paul - and many states have yet to determine who their delegates will be.

Excellent article, Edmond.
Dr. Ron Paul can still win IF all the other candidates were to drop out after their being exposed for all the dirt they have accumulated upon themselves.
You just need to go to http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com to find the dirt on John McCain. (Mc means "son of", BTW)
With all due respect to "Pastor" Mike Huckabee, he really didn't do such a good job of ruling his own family so well, so how can he posssibly expect to be a leader and a role model for the people of our great nation?

I predict that Congessman Paul will be the last Rebublican standing IF he will just have faith that those of us who have brought him this far will carry him the rest of the way to victory (So help us, God).
Shall we go on to Barack HUSSEIN Obama who was raised a Muslim in Indonesia in his early years. Did he have to bow down and pray facing toward Mecca three times a day? I don't know. Maybe we should ask him. What about all the drugs that he admittedly took?

That leaves us to Hillary. Her husband was IMPEACHED, for God's sake, and they would be sleeping together in the White House again and who do you really think will be wearing the pants again?
If you want REAL Change, vote for DR. Ron Paul. America is sick and is definitly in need of a doctor.
Congressman Paul will not run as a third party candidate.
I do believe that he would win the Presidency IF he runs as an Independent. There are more Independents than there are members of any party.
Are you saying that, although RP said "there will be no 3rd party run," there may still be an "Independent" run? I like the semantics there. If Dr. Paul does not end up being the last man standing in the race for the Republican nomination, I, and millions of other patriotic (and frightened) Americans, believe he should pursue an Independent run for the White House. There is far too much at stake right now to surrender just because the GOP is corrupt to the core and will not allow him to win.
If Dr. Paul is really what he appears to be, and I believe he is, I would hope he would do whatever it takes to save this country. Right now, there is no one else who is able to do so. To those who say this would likely throw the election to the Democrats, I say so what! They are going to win anyway, if Dr. Paul is not on the ballot, and if anyone other than Dr. Paul is our next President, we are doomed. As Dr. Paul has said himself, we may not have another chance. It's now or never. The rEVOLution must succeed, and one way or anther Dr. Paul must be our President.
Ron Paul Revolution should continue, but I do not support Dr. Paul's running as a third pirty candidate, because the GOP will find an excuse and find someone to blame for their failure.
I support forming a new Ron Paul "Constitutionalist Party" that will unite all Ron Paul supporters and give us a platform to organize and move forward with Dr. Paul's leadership, if he agrees to a proposal like this.
Okay, wait a minute...are we Americans or are we Republicans and Democrats??? Is Dr. Paul an American hero, or is he a Republican stooge? I believe he is an American hero! The Republican/Democrat thing is a false paradigm set up by the elite controllers of this country to divide us, keep us bickering with each other, and make us think we have a choice and that something will change if we can only elect the other ("good") guys next time. I say bullsh*t!!!
This is all a big staged show and they are playing us for fools. Besides, if McCain (who Pat Buchanan just said would "make Cheney look like Ghandi") wins, we will be even worse off than if the Dems win. Who cares whom the GOP blames for its lack of foresight in nominating a horrible candidate to represent it, if that is indeed what happens? McCain is the designated loser, he's being set up to lose big in November, and he is also about to be "swiftboated." (see http://www.gopteaparty.com/ and http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/ for details.) If the Republicans wanted to win, they would nominate the people's choice, Ron Paul, or they would have at least made it fair so RP would have had a chance.
This is no game. Everything is at stake this time.
A Revolution is what we need to turn this nation around.
Our nation has been hijacked by people who own the news, Own the text books, Own the laws, Own the law makers, own the judges and owns the two political party system. It is obvious to most anyone that our government is out of control from the public.
Its is time past due to organize across the country a revolution to correct the most basic problem we face, which is the new world rulers. They have taken the American fiat currency and ruled the worlds monetary system with it.
A suggestion that I have, is a program called an order of 5. That is an individual creates an organization of 5 people that they can work with the same basic goals and issues and educates each other on the problematic events. each person of the group is to sponsor 5 active people who are willing to join the revolution and participate in a letter writing campaign to the local politicians and editorial pages, and spread the news to 5 additional people in their community groups. Each person in the growing group is to keep 5 others active and as one may drop out of the group then they are to be active in finding another member. This sounds complicated but it is less complicated then trying to do it on a large scale trying to influence a huge public.
The problem that we face as a nation is that most people get their news and information from the public media which has been owned and controlled by the bankers since the 30's. This information is so full of propaganda and red herrings to confuse the public. There are so few people with due diligence to find independent information on the internet, and be savvy enough to sift through the BS and conspiracy theories to find the true facts of what is really going on.
People also must be savvy enough to recognize many of the writers and posters organized by the media elite to confuse the internet information. There are people who are paid full time to be browsing the internet and trying to destroy any revolutionary attempts.
With a good campaign we could take a revolution nationally, but it requires work in educating the public on things that they have for a life time thought to be the truth of things. My mom says that she cannot believe that she has lived her whole life in this Topsy turvy world and did not know what was really going on with the Federal Reserve Bankers. Most people do not know what is going on but they no that things are not right.
a PAULAPALOOZA! is indeed what I am calling for. more broadly, a TRUTHAPALOOZA! or similar so that the revolution itself grows beyond the campaign into a phenomenon.
and yes, we need funding, websites, marketing, and great public speakers. thats where the grassroots comes in. ACTION is the key word here, people must be moved. or we can just hope for the best.
writers can spark an idea. the idea then must be reflected and built upon by other writers and ultimately action oriented people.
Ron Paul has called for a march on Washington DC!!!! Everybody get ready, we're going to do it...the Ron Paul R3VOLution is taking the country back! He also suggested there might be some dirt coming out on the other candidates between now and the Convention...
YES. He did call for a RALLY today in almost the exact same way that I did. LETS DO THIS. Write about this idea. Support Dr. Paul's idea. LETS MOBILIZE PEOPLE. we must be big thinkers, with big risky ideas. This revolution will succeed.
