John McCain Is NOT Electable

Everyone knows it. It's time to say it out loud. To paraphrase FOX journalist Carl Cameron, "Senator McCain, yet another question about electability -- Do you have any, sir?"

 February 9th, 2008

Note: For unknown technical or other "mysterious" reasons, Google News did not pick up the original version of this story. I would welcome comments as to "why" anyone thinks Google may have passed it by. Meanwhile, here is a slightly improved replacement version, and we'll see if it fares any better. OK, maybe it was the error in the date.... in any case, here's my story:

John McCain is unelectable. There. I've said it. It's the plain, bitter truth, and no bones about it.

That's whatwe've all been thinking. Instead of pussyfooting around, wondering whether McCain can "woo the right without compromising" or if the GOP will "close ranks behind McCain," let's just say it and go home. John McCain is NOT electable.John McCain - courtesy Wikipedia

Could the GOP possibly have picked a worse candidate? That liberal author of the McCain-Feingold abridgement of free speech and the McCain-Kennedy amnesty travesty, the senator endorsed by "Republicans for Choice", the presidential candidate who by his own admission doesn't understand economics?

Behold the unmitigated gall of a Republican party leadership that undoubtedly orchestrated the stepping down of Mitt Romney. That was, of course, their last and only hope of forestalling a brokered convention at which a true conservative, Dr. Ron Paul, might have been heard by the rest of the country -- a country from which his message of peace, freedom, and prosperity has been so painstakingly hidden.

This is very reminiscent of the time not so long ago in California (Kal-i-forn-ia?) just after Gray Davis was recalled. McClintock would have been a shoe-in Republican candidate, truly conservative. What did the "Grand Old Party" do? They persuaded liberal "Ah-nuld" to run. California conservatives are still paying the price for foolishly making that devil's bargain as the "governator" signs bill after bill that flies in the face of decency.

As I pointed out yesterday (see "McCain Coronation Sounds Death Knell for GOP",) the American public now has the internet to keep us informed. "Mainstream media" need no longer apply, and consequently more and more voters will wake up to the utter bankruptcy of a two-party system that has been herding this nation down the broad road to hell.

Thank you, GOP, for having now shown us your true colors!

Good luck on the bread line, Senator McCain.

PS: There is one obvious possible exception to the basic thesis of this article. For anyone who has been paying attention to the charade of state by state presidential primaries and caucuses, that exception is vote fraud, "coming soon to a precinct near you." No, don't bury your head in the sand -- open your eyes and you will find it to be true. And no, the MSM will of course NOT tell you about this, you'll have to search it out on the internet and in your own neighborhood.

PPS: Google mystery solved - this time! The major search engine has picked up this version of the article, and I am all but certain it was simply the issue of an erroneous date in the first version. However, I believe that we should nevertheless prepare for a future of search engine ownership and control by the "powers that be," even as the present MSM is under their control

John McCain is going to be the next President of the United States. Here is why: there is a little thing going on right now, maybe you have heard about it, Iraq & Afghanistan, or war on terror. You have to be out of your mind if you think Hillary or Obama is going to come into office and keep making progress in the War. Obama has no Foreign Policy related experience, to say the least. Hillary would be just like Mr. Clinton and pass up the chance to take out Osama Bin Laden, what a tragedy that was. McCain will be our next President because the number 1 issue the American People care about is the Iraq War. etc. America knows what is best for them and that is to turn to the great leadership a Republican would give them during times like this. ( John McCain 08 ) <--- IS GREAT!!!!

Interesting fact that in terms of campaign contributions from ACTIVE military personnel Ron Paul tops the list while McCain is dead last. Perhaps if  McCain is elected and institutes the draft that you'll wish you thought otherwise. A few years in combat may give you some perspective.

Um, the number 1 issue the American People care about is the economy actually.  The war is fastly becoming a back burner issue.
