Who to pick Obama or Clinton?

An analysis of the two Candidates up for the Democratic Nominee

Since so much of this website is dedicated to Ron Paul or the Republicans I decided to weigh in with my feedback of who to vote for on the Democratic side. I am voting this upcoming Tuesday in the primaries and I, like many of my Democrat friends, have no idea who i'm voting for. I believe listed below is a good reason why a lot of Democrats are undecided.

Obama-He seems to have the momentum, or so the press would like to say, but what momentum does he really have? He has the momentum where the media likes to publish everything positive happeneing to him and everything negative about Clinton. Of course there are several million voters out there who will watch only television news tomake their opinions.

Clinton-She use to be the guaranteed nominee. Now she looks like she is losing as much momentum as Mitt Romney. She was looking really good but a few mis-steps plastered everywhere has made her popularity go down. But still millions of people are faithful to her and it will be hard to assume that Obama will be the nominee with the power and organization of Clinton.

So lets go to the issues: (at least a few)

Social Issues: Abortion, Same-Sex Marriage, and Environment

Same-Sex Marriage-Without going into it deep Obama and Clinton are against Same-Sex Marriage but for Civil Unions or the "states right to decide"

Environment-Both of them talk tough, save the forest, no drilling in Alaska, and prevent global warming, not much difference here.

Abortion-Both claim to support a woman's right to choose and making the Roe-V-Wade decision a law.

Fiscal Issues: Taxes

Taxes-Hillary is against most tax cuts for the wealthy and supports tax cuts for the middle class and the working poor.  Obama is against tax cuts for the weathly however he wants to eliminate several others taxes as well.

Obama(from his website) is basically running taxes with two themes, one cut taxes for working middle class and two simplify taxes.

HIllary also seems to be running on the idea of cutting taxes for the middle class.

Of course i'm going to forego the rest of the issues in the interest of space and time, as you can see the minute differences among these candidates means us Democrats must vote based upon other things other than the issues.

So with very little to no difference in their economic policies, we Democrats must turn to electabilty and likeabliliy in order to vote.

Hillary-Widely seen as very electable, widely seen as not likeable

Obama-Very charismatic very likeable, but he is really electable?

But who could win the general election?

So I started this, hoping to shed light on who to vote for and instead i've ended up once again putting myself back in the Undecided Column.  To all the Democrats out there, who will you vote for?

You're having a problem deciding because you're telling yourself that there are only two candidates. Like it or not, there are more than two candidates. I voted for Ron Paul but if he weren't in the race I probably would have voted for Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich.

Welcome to Nolan Chart from a fellow columnist. I'm a left leaning libertarian Democrat. I personally support Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Ron Paul. Dennis is gone, Mike is still in the race and entirely ignored by the MSM and Ron Paul is still being snowed by the GOP.

Welcome to the Chart! Just to let you know, we're working on a home page re-design that should provide a bit more balance among the political camps.

As for Clinton vs Obama....is there really much of a difference?
