Bush Endorsements -- Kiss of Death for McCain?

The current president is so universally despised that his family's endorsement of McCain will more than likely doom both McCain and the GOP along with him.

 Interesting

One after another, members of the Bush family seem to be lining up to endorse John McCain. First it was Jeb Bush, governor of Florida. Yesterday, George H. W. Bush of "Read my lips, no new taxes" fame, added his endorsement. The sitting President of the United States, George W. Bush, has effectively already done so by calling McCain "a true conservative."

I can't begin to count the number of time's I've spoken with Republican voters who have strongly conveyed the following message to me, in so many words:Photo courtesy of whitehouse.gov

"I'm ashamed to admit that I voted for George W. Bush. I thought he was a "Conservative Christian." I am so sorry that I voted for him! Boy, do I know better now! I have certainly learned my lesson!"

Consequently, the endorsement of John McCain by the Bushes may well become the Judas kiss needed to seal the doom of McCain's campaign for the Republican nomination.

The very fact that "Dubya" would call McCain a "true conservative" will send many voters fleeing into the arms of other, more authentically conservative candidates. However, there seems to be a scarcity of those if we are to believe the media pundits that have so intentionally ignored Ron Paul, the only truly conservative elephant in the room.GOP Logo - courtesy Wikipedia

For example, World Magazine, published by a group that obviously loves Bush and has time and again minimized his most egregious flaws, strongly promotes Mike Huckabee. They have repeatedly featured the Huckster and his positions, "favorably" comparing him with George W. Bush. In the lead article of the December 22nd issue, Marvin Olasky, editor-in-chief of World, compared Huckabee with George W. Bush and summarized by saying this:

"Huckabee is a Bush who can talk."

Exactly. That should terrify any American who has watched the Bush administration massively expand the federal government while trampling on our liberty. Bush's recent attempt to promote an extension of the so-called "Protect America Act" is a case in point illustrating that this administration has totally lost its way, if it ever had one to begin with.

We need never trade our liberty for illusions of safety. A free people is a strong people. Neither McCain nor Bush understand that, and therefore a McCain nomination will undoubtedly go down in flames, unless bolstered by massive vote fraud.

I urge all of my fellow Americans who have been put off by the president's endorsement of liberal John McCain to investigate and seriously consider the one remaining authentically conservative candidate in the fight for the Republican nomination. Dr. Ron Paul has never voted to raise taxes, repudiates any suggestion of amnesty for illegal immigrants, understands economics, and consistently votes against unconstitutional legislation. He is the real conservative.

Sadly creator I don't think its the kiss of death for the Republican nomination.  The RNC and party elite have all but corronated him.  With Huckabee and Dr. Paul still in the race it is obvious the party no longer wants much to do with the old GOP beliefs.  I think the only reason McCain wants to cut spending is so he can further his interventionist agenda without raising taxes.  Bush's endorsement is, however, the kiss of death for McCain in the general election.  We will see what we will see after 4 years of Hill-Billy Clinton or Amway Obama but I am confident Ron Paul's message of "Hope for America" will play much better in 2012.  As for the GOP, may it rest in pieces.

Two points. The first, voting for a politician because you thought they were "Christian" is why we got such a knucklehead as president to begin with. I would suggest all to vote rationally next time, and leave superstition out of politics. Secondly- the Republican party has become rotten on the inside. While the "conservative" ideals of smaller government are sound, the rest of the parties ideas are tainted by the parties' absolute hypocrisy in almost all things "social". Ron Paul has been ostracised because he hasn't yet been infected with the neocon disease.
