Oh, did they say "Stimulus?" What's the difference? Ron Paul knows this "smoke and mirrors" package is just another step along the road to economic ruin. by creator

Yesterday, congress voted to stick it to stimulate the economy. How does the the latest congressional "stimulus" package work?
First, congressional "leadership" lies through their teeth to make you think they are "giving" you something. "We got a great deal for the American people" said Speaker Nancy Pelosi. If this is a great deal, I would hate to see a deal gone bad!
In reality, the IRS all last year took a substantial percentage of your earnings in income tax withholding, and congress is now ceremoniously returning a small fraction to you? They have robbed Peter to pay Paul and hope that the American people don't see what's going on behind that gun held to their head every April 15th.
While there are provisions to prevent undocumented immigrants from receiving tax rebates, there are no such provisions to prevent workers who paid no taxes to begin with, and retired seniors, from receiving a large portion of the money you worked for.
True to form and to his constitutional principles, Ron Paul, often called "Dr. No," voted against this bogus package. Did he do so because he is some sort of contrarian spoilsport? Not at all!
Ron Paul is well known for his knowledgeable conservative approach to economic matters in congress. He has stood toe-to-to with Ben Bernanke, chairman of the federal reserve. Ron Paul knows what makes things tick. He knows that the government cannot "make money" out of thin air. When the government prints money to pay for these "feel good" social programs, it comes out of the pockets of every American in the form of a hidden "inflation tax." Ron Paul is fully aware that the bill for this "stimulus package" will ultimately come due, and that our children and grandchildren will suffer through its payment.
If you want genuine economic prosperity, Ron Paul is the only person on the national scene with an authentic plan by which we may achieve it. It is a four-point plan:
Tax Reform
Spending Reform
Monetary Policy Reform
Regulatory Reform
This is Ron Paul's "prosperity package" and you don't need a PhD in economics to understand the plan. Dr. Paul says:
"America became the greatest, most prosperous nation in human history through low taxes, constitutionally limited government, personal freedom and a belief in sound money. We need to return to these principles so our economy can thrive again. When enacted, my plan will provide both short-term stimulus and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity."
As a ten-term Republican congressman, Ron Paul has frequently introduced or sponsored real legislation to bring about common-sense economic reforms. He is not interested in running the economy or running your life, he wants to get the federal government out of your business.
If you haven't already, I urge you to look at Ron Paul and hear what he has to say about how to set America back on a sound economic footing.
