 FUNNY...

The following conversation, revolving around Ron Paul for President, has been overheard in one form or another all too often recently:GOP Logo - courtesy Wikipedia

Excuse: "I can't vote for anyone who's not in one of the "big two" parties because they're not electable.
Answer: "Ron Paul is a Republican."
Excuse: "Oh. Well, he's not a 'front-runner,' is he."
Answer: "He's still in the race. Eight other so-called "front-runners" have dropped out."
Excuse: "But Ron Paul won't protect us from the Islamoboogieman!"
Answer: "Nonsense! Ron Paul offers better, more effective protection."
Excuse: "Huckabee talks about God, Ron Paul doesn't!"
Answer: "You mean like when Huck talked to God on his cellphone?"
Excuse: "Oh yeah, that was pretty lame. Does Ron Paul talk to God?"
Answer: "I don't know, but he sure listens to Him."
Excuse1: "I voted for Thompson, a real conservative."
Answer: "Now there's a real dud! How does it feel to have wasted your vote?"
Excuse2: "I voted for Romney so McCain wouldn't get in."
Answer: "Fooled again! Romney dropped out the minute his bosses gave him the word. Do you feel betrayed by the GOP yet?"
Excuse: "But there's no way Ron Paul will get enough delegates to win the convention, is there?"
Answer: "At this point, anything could happen. Consider the fact that many candidates said to be 'more electable' than Paul are now history. Who knows what might occur between now and the convention?"
Excuse: "The media isn't covering him."
Answer: "We ARE the media now! Besides, what other Republican raised $20 million last quarter? Huck and McCain are going broke!"
Excuse: "Well, my pastor isn't voting for Ron Paul."
Answer: "If your pastor jumped off a cliff, would you follow him?"
Excuse: "With all the vote fraud going on these days, Ron Paul doesn't have a snowball's chance."
Answer: "A snowball rolling downhill eventually becomes an avalanche. All the voting machine fraud in the world can't stop an inevitability!"

You've heard the rest. It's time to go with the best. Vote for the inevitability of freedom, vote for Ron Paul! You (and almost everyone else in the world) will be glad you did!

I would suggest that you avoid speculating that Ron Paul will win in 2008.  I doubt that many people are persuaded by your speculation.

I tell people that they are giving politicians the message that they are easily fooled if they vote for a top-tier candidate whose policies they don't like.  In contrast, they give an undeniable clearcut message that they want freedom if they vote for Ron Paul.  Regardless of whether the freedom candidate wins, the more people vote for freedom, the harder it is for politicians to ignore our voices.

Well, "speculation" would imply that the writer asserted that Ron Paul will win. He did no such thing; he simply left the door open for the possibility. Possibility breeds hope; hope breeds action; action breeds results.

Contrast that with the certainty of the other candidates: voting for just about any other man/woman in this race will certainly bring only more of the same, if not worse, conditions of the last 8 years.

Voting machine fraud will prevent the inevitable and to think otherwise is ridiculous. You need to correctly assess the problem of voting machine fraud, implement a correct solution and correctly estimate the amount of effort to make it happen. That is what wins elections also. Not snowballs.

Hello Ed, thanks for your comment.

Despite the hopeful comment in my article, I do recognize the fraud problem as a serious one and do not mean to generally minimize it... I have in fact written MANY articles now on Nolan Chart about the problem urging people to attack it from every possible direction. If you follow the "More articles by creator" link you can easily find half a dozen or more.

However, as support for Dr. Paul and his SANE policies continues to grow, whether or not he wins this nomination and election, I expect the freedom movement to become overwhelmingly irresistable. Maybe it's wishful thinking to an extent; I am certainly not "sitting on my hands" waiting for it to happen, and I encourage you to marshal whatever efforts you can personally to combat vote fraud.

How about signing up as a Chart columnist and sharing your ideas with the world as to how we can effectively overcome the fraudulent system and mechanisms now in place? :)

That's a great article.  I'm sick of hearing excuses like that from people!  Just vote for the best candidate and that is, without contest, Ron Paul!  I can't think of any reason not to vote for him except all those ridiculous ones people make up.

I wish people would stop saying BS like "he's not going to win anyways so why vote for him" or "he's too radical to put in office" or stuff about voting fraud which does exist but still if there were millions of more votes for him it would be much harder for the voting fraud to cancel that all out.  They need to just stop worrying about all that stuff for once in their lives and just vote for him!  Don't even think twice about him not having a chance, just give him your vote and stop thinking about it!

I'm also going to write him in for the November election if he's not on the ballot.  He's the ONLY sane choice.  Emphasis on "only."

I'm not an American.  But, the American Presidential election is always a world event.  For those of us from the rest of the world, the person who become the President of the USA always sets the tone for global politics.  If only I could vote in your elections...   there is no doubt in my mind that I'd vote for Ron Paul.  He is not just America's Hope.  He's the best hope that the world has right now to be led away from madness.

No excuses please.  Do all that is possible to shove Ron Paul in the direction of electability.  I'm doing what little I can as a foreigner by joining in the book bomb.  Surely people have to take notice if The MAnifesto becomes a global bestseller.

 Peace.
