Topic: Ron Paul
How Romney's Departure Equals Victory for Paul

With the unexpected concession of Mitt Romney, Ron Paul is suddenly thrust into serious contender status.

The only way that Ron Paul could have won the Republican nomination was for sufficient numbers of national convention delegates to be split between McCain and Romney on the first ballot. Such a split, which would have resulted in no clear winner, would have resulted in a second ballot. On the second ballot delegates would be free to vote their consciences. Ron Paul's "brokered convention" plan was to win as many of these delegates as possible and steal the nomination away. However, the odds were slim that Romney delegates would turn around and cast their votes for Paul over Romney.

But all that has changed!

Today Mitt Romney dropped out of the race. Remember what just happened in West Virginia?  Ron Paul delegates threw their support to Huckabee to knock Romney out of contention.  Eliminating Romney from the race was part of the West Virginia strategy to win delegates.  Romney lost WV and went on to lose many other Conservative votes to Ron Paul throughout the country on Super Tuesday.

Romney had hundreds of delegates going to the national convention that were committed to him. Many of these delegates are now free to vote for an alternate candidate. Does anyone really believe that Romney's supporters want to vote for McCain after the savage attacks that McCentury levied on Romney? They will be looking for a Conservative alternative to McCain. Right now that means either Huckabee (if he can keep going) and Paul.

We are back in play!

Many of you will have questions on how a brokered convention works, how to lobby delegates for Ron Paul, etc.  For excellent information on these issues, I recommend that you go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com and sign up to become a Precinct Leader.  You can then access various training videos, including one entitled: "John Tate explains caucuses and conventions".  Now is the time for action.

Naysayers and pessimists did not win the American Revolution. Our noble forefathers did not scurry home to lick their wounds after each disheartening defeat at the muskets of the redcoats. They did not throw up a white flag or whine about how they couldn't win. They kept fighting.

I call upon YOU to stay the course.

Keep fighting for the right to be secure in your property and privacy. Keep fighting for the right to assemble and rally without government interference. Keep fighting for the security of your spouses and children. Stand up for liberty. Fight for Ron Paul.

We stand at an historic juncture in the journey of our nation. In this moment of reflection we must ask, as did Patrick Henry so long ago, "Is life so sweet, or peace so dear as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?"

May you all be endowed with a second wind and the courage to fight on!

Romney got 25 delegates from Minnesota Tuesday, Ron Paul came in 2nd. So, does Ron Paul now inherit those 25 delegates?

Business will boom under a Ron Paul Presidency.  Imagine actually being able to save your money because it retains its value.  All the other candidates are members of the Council on Foreign Relations that want the North American Union and the Federal(not) Reserve System to steal your money forever.

No.  It is up to the individual delegate's conscience.  time for some personal lobbying.  If you personally know a delegate who was pledged to Romney (or Thompson, Giuliani, Hunter, etc.)

Talk to them about supporting Ron Paul.  Have them contact the campaign and pledge their support so Ron Paul can start publicizing the results.

Seriously guys we've got to stop with the unwarranted optimism.  The race is clearly over for Paul.  The media blackout has worked.  There is now way on earth that Romney people will move into the Paul camp.  To assert such is just wishful thinking.  McCain's an ass but Republicans are generally stupid people and will fall in line when the time comes.

Our hope is now in organizing behind congressional and senatorial candidates that carry the banner of liberty.  Our MOVEMENT is the success of Ron Paul.  Let's keep the Revolution alive by keeping the cause of Liberty moving forward.

The New Hampshire Free State project looks interesting.  Do any of you have an opinion on that?  Ron Paul endorsed their movement.

I also believe the race is over for Ron Paul running as a Republican.

I think he should save the money and run as a libertarian starting today!  The media now are still ignoring and is even worse saying there are only 2 candidates in the race:

"MCCain and Huckleberry"!!!! No mention of Paul!

We need to invest our money and energy on a 3rd party run....I plan to email the campaign.... I rather vote for Hillary at least is like Clinton than not knowing what Obama is going to do-he is a liberal all the way!

vote Ron PAul-3rd PARTY RUN!!!

We need to stay the course. It is not just romantic to talk about George Washington and Valley Forge. Those were real people, spilling real blood - and they were doing it with but the slimmest of hopes.

So we've sent some money, waved some banners, sent some e-mails. Great. But not the same as red blood oozing from an infected open wound.

This is no time to quit!

This is a time to show strength and fortitude.

Ron said he would continue if we continued - to donate money. It is time to donate. What we really need is our biggest ever money bomb. Every penny helps get out the message.

But I also agree that we need to get behind some Congressmen and Senators. See my article THE 5TH OF NOVEMBER . . . 2008. It is posted right here at nolanchart.

Ron has been giving and giving and giving. We cannot do less.

I believe Ron Paul is going to test the waters in the next States republican primaries. He could pick up a majority in Texas, and with Romney out that leaves Huckabee and Paul for conservatives to vote for. Huckabee is running out of campaign funds. Ron is in a great position, I read an article that Ron Paul is a turtle, not a hare. But when republican conservatives hear Ron's message, then I believe this turtle will tranform into a ninja turtle. I think Ron's strategy is right on, this is not a sprint its a marathon.

Many TV stations refused to run Ron Paul ads because the time had been bought by other candidates. Romney just opened up the air time. Huckabee has no financing.  Conservatives don't support McCain.  The media now have some difficulty ignoring Ron Paul. Republicans abstained on super Tuesday because they don't like the candidates who supported Bush. Ron Paul does not carry the stigma of Bush support. Like many I would vote against McCain or Huckabee.

Keep in mind that Mitt Romney has only "suspended" his campaign.  Some of his delegates are still bound to him.  But there is another loophole for us.  Find out when your County GOP convention is (it's likely tonight, so be quick) and go and try to be elected to a vacant delegate seat.  Many of Romney's delegates may well not show up tonight, and they can be replaced with unbound delegates loyal to Paul.  If we fight this every step of the way, it could still be ours.

This is assuming that the additional primary states don't go ahead and put their money of McCain. Chances are without Romney in the race that is exactly what will happen. By the time the convention rolls around McCain will likely have it locked up unless Dr. Paul can create a giant surge, and without media attention that is going to be next to impossible. I'm in Kentucky, we haven't voted yet. I'm still going to fight if RP will. The problem is that McCain is now 100% the annointed one in the eyes of the media, and many people will have no clue who RP is or that he's still an option. Barring a literal knock down drag out between Paul and McCain I just don't see it happening. There will be no more Republican debates, you can count on that.

I want to believe but its going to take a friggin' miracle and us hijacking the printing presses for it to ever get off the ground. Are we willing to put our $600 where our heart is? Will the checks be available in time? Will McCain not get 1192 delegates without Romney in the way?  That's a whole lot of "Ifs, Ands, or Butts" to try and bank on.

Ron Paul will do what he thinks is best, so there is no harm in us talking about it as long as we support him regardless.

But when you hear, "John McCain has all but wrapped up the Republican nomination"  (meaning, they are just waiting for Huck to announce his dropping before sealing it)  you realize the fix worked.

Go 3rd party within the next 48 hours after people come stew in their contempt for McCain.

As the Only Hope for America stays committed to running, my full support will be with Ron Paul. He is a very wise person and will know when to direct his efforts where they are most needed. Stop doubting, keep supporting! We MUST have more financial support! Take a short term 'borrow' from a friend of the devistating Bush stimulus check and put it to a great cause, our future. Only the ignorant will go to WalMart to buy 'made in whatever-other-than-USA' STUFF. Ron Paul is a VERY smart person. Listen.

I consider it a good possibility of many of Mitt Romney's supporters will be going for Ron Paul. Although Romney and Paul differ on some issues, they obviously share similar views on issues like immigration. Keep fighting, Congressman Paul!

I think it's time for Ron Paul to hire a new Public Relations firm. This is a great opportunity to sell his message to the conservatives. Maybe, just maybe he can still manage to get this to a brokered convention.

We need to put ads in the newspapers resembling articles supporting Ron Paul, a new article every day.

We can do this!!!!

I was on the forums at GOPUSA today and I am depressed. I have no hope for this country. Too many people live in the Matrix.

There are a whole bunch on the left who beleive "let me have total lack of personal responsibility and let big government take care for me."

And as I finally discovered on the right they are chanting "WE MUST WAGE THE HOLY WAR AGAINST THE ISLAMIC THREAT WHEREVER IT HIDES"

I FINALLY why most zombie conservatives won't back Paul- they've really been duped into thinking the best way to protect ourselves from future Islamo-fascist attacks is to march our armies across the face of the earth and seek them out and destroy them. Well DUH! No wonder your rank and file are voting for McCain. IDIOTS!

It amazes me how stupid so many of them must be in order to actually beleive that will work. Not to mention the simple and obvious fact that WE CAN'T AFFORD IT.

You can bet money on the fact that you won't get most conservatives to vote for Ron Paul. They are actually talking about bringing in ANOTHER republican to run as an independent. Chuck Muth even said  "even the Ron Paul folks would support him."

I give up my hope for this country- but I will still fight.

I feel so much like Samwise Gamgee in Mordor.

My new hope is that this demise in our country is the beginning of the end and that Jesus will come back reeallly soon.

 :)

How to pick up Mitt supporters.
1) Recall the points where Mitt debated with McCain in the last debate and how McCain is NOT a conservative republican and doesn't understand the economy.  You can easily illustrate how Ron Paul is conservative by his record lowering taxes and his desire to get back to small government.
2) The Huckabee "Fair" tax is a disaster to manage.  Imagine this.  Poor people are supposed to pay (24?)% (I don't remember the exact number) up front and then get a percentage back (like 9%).  Is a consumer supposed to keep the reciepts for every loaf of bread etc.. they purchase and then somehow submit this to the government for partial payback.  Who's going to manage these 300,000 personal accounts?  How will they keep people from cheating?
Ron Paul wants to reduce taxes period and he's willing to make the tough decisions necessary to make that happen.  He has a plan to bring America quickly back to sober economics by simply saving money not being the world police.  Why should we have to babysit 160 other countries in the world?

ooh noo, whatever will i do without(i'll say anything to get in your pants) mitt romney in the race...

let me give you a choice, its a free country and you get to choose as individuals do in this country

but first let me ask you a question before you choose

are you a patriot?.. oh, i'm glad to see that you are

a patriot of the USA?... good on ya, you are a patriot

a patriot of the government?... huh?

the difference you ask?... uh huh?

what seperates the USA from any other country in the world?... oh, you don't know?

its the constitution... really?

yes, its timeless and technology proof because the men who wrote it were aware of the evil that men can do.. men have'nt changed in a thousand years.. theres nothing new in the evil of men from 200 years ago.

so what really makes me a patriot?

fallowing the law of the land, the constitution.. be careful to not let the media or anyone redefine patriotism to suit their agenda.

so what should i do?

as long as you adhere to the strict teachings of the constitution, you can never go wrong and this country will remain the great country that the founding fathers dreamed of and designed for the generations of children and grangchildren to fallow them.

so your saying that i should vote for Ron Paul dispite what the media says about him, because he fallows the constitutional law of the land?

yup!.. if you don't fallow the constitution, your not a patriot of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA... NO EXCEPTIONS
