The Last Ron Paul Revolutionary The effect of the Super Tuesday vote on an Independent Ron Paul candidacy.by E.A. Blayre III

While using my Corel WordPerfect Office 11 program and trying to make up my mind for the title of this article, I typed the term ‘Revolutionary' and as a lark, checked for WordPerfect 11's suggested synonyms. These are the words, honest to Ron Paul, that came up:
-Subversive;
-Radical;
So I looked at each word, studied them and realized that the ‘Powers-that-be', which infected your eyes with its propaganda television, poisoned your ears with its obscenity-laced music and killed your love with its abundant pornography, those ‘Powers-that-be' slandered the good-name of our Founding Fathers (Revolutionary, every damn one of them), even down to the WordPerfect11 that I write this article on.
We, the Revolutionaries, tried to elect Ron Paul, a man who carries the ghosts of every Signer of the Declaration of Independence in his soul. We tried to work within the system. The system, instead, chewed us up like the Brits did before Yorktown. The internet was no match for the system.
They didn't count on one thing though, we learned.
We learned about real money, the Federal Reserve, the Working Group, Gold and Silver. We learned who's clandestinely against us by exposing them, like Tucker Carlson who played our MSM friend, only to show up at a news conference with a Pimp, a pair of prostitutes and a microphone. We learned about foreign policy, Israel's influences, the Iraq War and casualties (only the good doctor ever spoke of casualties). We may have even stopped the Iran War because Ron wouldn't stop talking about it. Worse of all for our enemies, we learned about the Constitution.
Now to the reality of Super Tuesday.
We lost badly. We must face truths, if we are to overcome them. Our time in the Republican party has expired. The time for the Independent route has begun. We know the blueprint, now that we have the experience.
Step One: E-mail Ron Paul and his staff repeatedly that it is time for the Independent route. However, insist that he stay in the Republican race until February 28, 2008 so he can participate in the Republican debate. We'll use the Mainstream Media for one final grab at our fellow ‘soon-to-be' Patriots.
Step Two: Change your political party from ‘Republican' to any other party (If you really want to rile them, change to ‘Libertarian'). However, any party will do. This first attack is against the Republican party for ignoring us, stuffing the ballots, and general ‘less-than-noble' actions. The truly disgraceful behavior these GOP people exhibited toward the oldest and most honest candidate in the race was unforgivable. One wonders how they treat their Grandfathers. This first attack is designed to severely weaken the Republican party.
Step Three: Learn from Experience. We learned about Precinct Leaders, Meet-ups and fund-raising. Precinct Leaders were the missing piece that we figured out too late. Too late for the Republican race but 'just in time' for our Independent run.
Step Four: E-mail Ron Paul again, we really need him on board.
Step Five: Pray for Hillary vs. McCain.
If these five steps do not work perfectly, then someone else is elected and.....
-President Hillary: Iraq War stays, she adds war in Iran.
-President Obama: Iraq War stays, he adds war in Pakistan.
-President McCain: Iraq War and Afghanistan War intensify, he adds wars in Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Vietnam.
Which leads us to our final step, Step Six....
We narrow our issues down to the War in Iraq, Immigration and Patriot Act. No more Federal Reserve, no more Working Group, nothing but those three issues.
By the grace of God, if each of these six steps succeed, Ron Paul is our next President of the United States. The first Independent party President in American History. That is how this Revolution ends.

I agree. I have many Democrat friends who are not happy with Hillary or Obama for reasons you listed above.
They like Ron Paul, but think that the GOP is rotten to the core. The truth is that both parties have hijacked our political system. We all know this and we see this, but how do we get delegates and how can a 3rd party fight through the electoral college process? It seems impossible.

First - I will wait until my state party convention is over before I change my party affiliation ;)
Second - If Ron Paul runs as a third party, he will be branded a liar. He won't actually be one, but he will be branded as one.
A better alternative is to run as a write-in. That can't be stopped. They can't pull ballot-access laws on us, they can't pull "sore-loser" laws on us, they can't "forget" to print his name on the ballot. They can't mis-program the ballot counting machines and if touch-screen voting machines are used, the precinct will have to provide a piece of paper for us to write-in our votes.
And he can say "I never said I wouldn't run as a write-in, I said I wouldn't run ind. or 3rd party. I'm still running as a Republican, neither independent, nor 3rd-party."
Yes, they can keep him out of debates, but they will anyway if he runs 3rd party. Any negative that can be used against a write-in candidate can (and will) be used against a 3rd party candidate. The difference is that if Ron Paul runs a write-in campaign, the MSM can't tag Ron Paul with any positions of the various 3rd parties. The campaign will finally be about Ron Paul's message, not some obscure plank in the host party's platform. (Can you imagine Ron Paul forever explaining the Libt party's pro-abortion plank? Or some of that party's more "Interesting" members I can.)
Ron Paul should not run as a 3rd party candidate; he should run as a write-in candidate instead.

I don't know what to do with the Federal Reserve or using a currency based on gold or silver. I do know that you need to control the amount of money in circulation and that inflation could be used as a guideline if products imported from countries that have artificially undervalued currencies were excluded. I also know that we are in the midst of an economic meltdown if you look at American manufacturing. Everything is hunky dory if you consider the price of imported goods and the fiat money we use to buy them. As the economic crisis increases the public will realize that none of the other candidates are even aware of the causes. That is Ron Paul's strong point. Our military expenditures only make it worse. Immigration and the Patriot act should not make us loose sight of the financial collapse pending which may be in full swing during the coming election.
Excellent article - whatever happens, what we really need is a way to stay connected and keep the message alive. A lot of people will just drop it, thinking that Ron Paul's platform is toast and just accept it. What we need is another person to take on the responsibility for keeping us all connected. For example, I believe there may be a way to access all the Paul donors names and addresses etc. This would be powerful information if put in the right hands. Someone needs to take on this responsiblity - I can't because I'm too busy working to pay off debts I never should have acquired. But someone - and I believe through the internet - should take on the honor of keeping Ron Paul supporters united. Take a look around the world - if you leave the U.S. to escape tyranny (and that's exactly what our legal/governmental system has become) where would you go?? There isn't a better place to go to that I've seen. My fear is that when the Ron Paul campaign ends - his supporters will no longer be united - and that's how we'll get whipped. This is a long struggle - it must be done step by step. I personally believe that complete economic collapse must occur before our voices can be heard. It's hard for people to hear and understand our message when they're worried about flat screens or their next government check. Anywho - I hope someone reads this and considers my ideas........
Best Regards

RP people are wonderful, but so uninformed, so naive, so inexperienced. He cannot go to the Republican convention and then run on another party ticket. At that point it would be early September and it is way too late to organize and get on enough ballots. He has to choose between staying in the Republican party or going to the Libertarians, which is the only other choice that has sufficient ballot access. Their convention is in Denver in May. He has to decide to run LP by then or the 3rd party option is gone. The best choice here is for everyone to join the LP, take it over by sheer numbers and then draft him for the nomination. (And do it for the Constitution Party, too.) Then, he's already on 49 ballots going into the Republican convention and he has them in a very bad spot. They know he'll kill McCain just like Perot killed Bush 1 in '92 and Dole in '96. Their choice - nominate RP or watch Hillary win. High stakes, gang, what fun!
how about Dr. Ron running for the reform party? They have a little more name recognition then the libertarians and stand for some of the same principles. People remember Ross Perot's 3rd party bid and maybe it'll help Dr. Paul with people who feel obillary and mcain aren't the answer
Kevin you're wrong in the notion that a write-in can't be stopped. All they have to do is decide not to count it. Ummm like saying..."Candidate X got the majority of the vote compared to candidate Y, so there is no need to go back and count the absentee ballots." And that example has already happened.
Local pollsters saying "you can't write in, they are not being counted." Etc. As a last resort I will write Dr. Paul in. But I have very little confidence that my write in will be counted as anything more than "other" if that. The GOP probably won't even be told in most cases that they lost Z percent to RP.
All of you who want Ron Paul to run third party: find some billionaire who wants to be president for shits and giggles, or the bragging rights to having thrown an election. Have him spend ONE BILLION DOLLARS on advertising for his campaign as he flies around in his SHAGADELIC JUMBO JET.
Once the Repub Convention is over, have him invite Ron Paul aboard as his Vice President. In the final weeks before the general election, have him rescind his candidacy for health reasons, while endorsing his good running mate.
You see, that's what it would take to win an Independent run, and that's why you don't see it happen!
So, STOP FANTASIZING and START MOBILIZING for the FINAL GROUND ASSAULT and grab those remaining delegates.

People just don't get Ron Paul, they are either scared of him, they think he is a radical or a cooke. I am not sure why but I keep hearing the media is to blame, maybe. I kinda think that people really don't understand the importance of our constitution, We as a nation have traveled along distance from those days, have made many turns, in the wrong direction in my oppinion, that maybe we just don't know how to get back or we are affraid to go back. What with all the big government we have now, downsizing and changing monetary policy attacking the existence of the federal reserve these are scary things to consider for the average person. Ron Paul needs to focus on more realistic arguments and play a better game of politics, his message is not being heard because people don't want to hear it. We all know that politics is a dirt game, so might as well play dirty, time to join in Ron, and spin your words like the rest of them and just maybe people will listen. Make these bold and mighty speeches like obama, cut down mccain and dont let the media shun you, dont just put your finger out when you want to say something blurt it out, use conviction. I can see that you are the best man for the job but you are gonna have to buck up old son and fight a hell of alot harder than you have been doing if you want to lead this nation. You have my vote no matter what, even if I have to write it in.
