Topic: Ron Paul
An Introduction

An introduction the leader of the revolution. Ron Paul is a noble man, with no skeletons in his closet or flip flopping in his past. It is all there in his 30 year voting record.

This is in response to many comments I have gotten questioning Ron Paul's stance on the important issues. Since he hasn't changed his stance and has voted consistently for the past 30 years, it is very easy to fill you in. I will briefly explain his stance on the issues as a quick reference. If an issue that is important to you isn't listed below, go to www.ronpaul2008.com/issues for a full breakdown.

Ron Paul believes in a non interventionist foreign policy. He believes we should not be policing the world. He also believes we can freely trade with anyone and everyone. As for National Defense, Ronald Reagan once said, "Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country." http://www.militaryforpaul.com/reagan.html  If you notice, Ron Paul doesn't use quotes like this in the debates to pander the way others might, he sticks to the issues at hand. He voted against the Iraq War and wants to end it and bring the troops home immediately. As well as bringing them all home from the other 130 countries we have 700+ bases in.

Ron Paul doesn't believe in civil rights, gay rights, women's rights, or any other collectivist privilege. He believes in individual freedom and liberties for all. What that means is that under a Ron Paul presidency, there would be completely equal rights for all United Stated citizens. Ron Paul believes in the sanctity of marriage, but that is a matter for the individual states to decide, not the federal government.

Unlike others, he hasn't changed his stance on abortion EVER. As an OB/GYN, who has delivered more than 4000 babies, Dr Paul believes that life begins at conception. Dr Paul wants to overturn Roe v Wade, and he is endorsed by Norma "Jane Roe" McCorvey. The good thing for you pro-choice advocates out there is that Dr Paul doesn't think that the Federal Government should regulate it at all. Once again, it is a matter for the individual states to vote on and decide.

He believes in strong border control and immigration reform, by making the path to citizenship more attainable for those legally immigrating to this country. To keep illegal immigrants out, Dr Paul proposes we bring our Border Patrol Agents home from Iraq, so they can guard our borders. His plan for getting illegal immigrants out is simple, stop subsidizing them. No free healthcare, education, and welfare. No birthright citizenship for babies born to illegal immigrants.

Dr Paul believes that with change to the foreign policy and an end to bureaucratic governmental departments, we can abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve. He also wants to eventually bring this country back to a precious metal backed currency. Dr Paul has studied economic and monetary policy for 30+ years. He is also endorsed and advised by economists Peter Shiff and Donald Luskin, among others. Ron Paul has been addressing the problems with our current monetary policy with the Federal Reserve for the past 30 years. He is known as "the tax payer's best friend".

As far as healthcare goes, Ron Paul wants to return us to the free market healthcare we were once envied by the world for having. If a Democrat is elected, their forced socialized healthcare will bankrupt this country and be mandatory for all citizens. Mitt Romney's healthcare plan is very similar. I have been to many military and VA hospitals, both as a patient and as a volunteer. The government does not know how to provide good healthcare, trust me.

Although Dr Paul is a devout Christian, unlike others, he knows not to use religion as a platform for his campaign. He has been married to his wife for the past 51 years. He is also a veteran of the US Air Force. I hope this is a good introduction and if you would like to know more, please look at www.ronpaul2008.com Thank you for reading.
