Ron Paul Had a Great Super Tuesday! Why the MSM is wrong about the GOP race on Super Tuesday and why the Ron Paul Revolution will keep fighting.by Abelardo Arias

Perception is reality; or so the mainstream media would have you believe.
First, they said Ron Paul was a "fringe" candidate. Then they attacked him with outdated newsletters taken out of context. Then they just ignored him as more money rolled into his campaign war-chest. Then they ignored his wins in various primaries up to and including Super Tuesday. Now they say (including some of his supporters) that his campaign is finished.
What is going on? Should the Revolution quit? Should we move to New Zealand or New Hampshire only out of desperation and hopelessness?
My friends, Ron Paul had a great night on Super Tuesday. I'm smiling about it. Here's why:
As a long time admirer of Ron Paul I never dreamed he would have gotten this far. As a past admirer of the Republican Liberty Caucus I never thought a civil libertarian would actually participate in over a dozen GOP presidential debates and challenge the status quo of fiat money inflation, perpetual war and a sinking economy. As a supporter of ballot access I never dreamed a former Libertarian Party candidate would actually win one delegate to the GOP nominating convention.
Ron Paul has thus far exceeded my expectations. He was woken up thousands of Americans. He has cured countless cases of apathy (including mine). He has broken nearly every single rule of traditional campaigning and is just now beginning to reap rewards in his carefully planned strategy.
Do you think Dr. Paul had no inkling of the low percentage numbers in the polls? I'm sure he's more aware of those numbers and has them memorized. Yet, he is pushing full steam ahead. He is amassing a formidable group of leaders on his campaign staff. Is Ron Paul out of teach with reality? Hardly.
The MSM only projects where they think the delegates will go. The GOP race is so wide open it is killing the media. They want to crown the candidate prince now. They are so proud that they resurrected John McCain from the dead that they are salivating to end the GOP Primary and get to the upcoming Hillary showdown. And then they are going to turn on McCain and chew him up for breakfast in a Hillary love fest.
But the reality today is that all four GOP contenders are still in the game. It is absurd for the MSM to convince Americans that one candidate or the other is out based on one day's totals.
Ron Paul has thus far baffled the MSM and won more than they would have ever given him credit for. Sure the MSM will say his campaign is finished. But they said that from the very beginning on their smug faces refusing to give anyone but their chosen candidates the time of day. It is a total disservice to democracy. They did it to Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel on the left and they are still doing it to Ron Paul on the right.
Ron Paul may indeed run as an independent but we should help him move full steam ahead to the brokered GOP convention. Every day the campaign is alive we pick up new supporters.
I'm not going to quit on Dr. Paul. Not after we: 1) won 2nd in Louisiana, Montana, Nevada and Maine; 2) placed 3rd in Alaska, North Dakota and Utah; 3) Paul beat McCain is some of these states; and, 4) won 3 delegates from the West Virginia caucus. This is more than the MSM expected. Let's continue to blow their expectations.
What should Ron Paul do now?
He should continue his long-term strategy of staying in the race and exhausting the campaign funds of his rivals. This GOP race is an unsettled affair. Turn off the cable news networks.
Ron Paul must infuse some campaign drama into this fight. Everyone has been tip-toeing around Bush-Cheney as if somehow the mere mention of their names for good or bad will be the kiss of death for their race. I say hogwash. Ron Paul needs to get in front of the MSM cameras and YouTube and call our dear president exactly what he is: a constitutional fraud and a warmongering monster.
Are his campaign staffers afraid he will upset the GOP elites? Rumors on the campaign trail are that the national campaign is officially afraid of the "Ron Paul Revolution" and actually want a lot of our big signs taken down. No disrespect but these people should take a hike. I think Trevor Lyman, Vijay Boyapati, the guys at VoteRonPaul.com and other incredibly creative grassroots people have earned the right to help steer this Revolution with Dr. Paul at the helm. They are the heart and soul of our movement dedicated to Ron Paul's vision of peace, prosperity and freedom.
I think it's time for Ron Paul to stop pandering to the extreme GOP right-wing of nativists and anti-immigration activists. Look, most people in this country are not frothing at the mouth about brown-skinned people who clean our bathrooms and pick our fruit. Ron Paul's immigration ads were horrible. Just as Antiwar.com's Justin Raimondo, who has been Dr. Paul's most vocal and effective supporter on the newsletter controversy.
Ron Paul needs to run commercials on the Federal Reserve. He needs to outdo Ross Perot, who amassed a huge following, even while he is still in the GOP nomination race. Dr. Paul needs to go after Bush. Even call for his impeachment. Shake up this nation. We cannot go quietly into that goodnight.
Ron Paul Campaign Staffers, if you read this article: wake up, act like leaders and we will follow you!
Whether the good doctor decides to run independent now or later is up to him. I defer to this decades of political and campaign experience over mine. But what he should do is start thinking independently and appeal to the anti-Bush sentiment in this country. As James Ostrowski noted on LewRockwell.com, the majority of the anti-war GOP still continue to vote for John McCain. What if those McCain delegates really understood about his intentions to stay in Iraq 100 years or to "never" consider redeploying our troops home.
What should the grassroots do?
We should rededicate ourselves to the Ron Paul Revolution. We knew the cards would be stacked against us. How do votes on Super Tuesday make you feel? Defeated? Or Angry? Hopeless? Or Challenged?
If we want Ron Paul to consider running an independent campaign we should still support him in the GOP to the very end. We may not like political parties but they are the reality of a two-party system in this country.
Ron Paul is playing a smart strategy of under the MSM radar delegate collecting. This may seem implausibe you might say. Just remember that delegates may not be too happy with the GOP convention choices come May. A lot can happen in three months.
The grassroots can begin to canvass and set up websites in support of Ron Paul's independent race. We can begin uniting the disenfrachised, the non-voters, registered Democrats dismayed by pro-war Hillary Clinton and the coming legions of disappointed Barack Obama supporters.
Last night on Super Tuesday, Ron Paul won some modest second and third place finishes. But more importantly he remained in a GOP race that continues to be wide open. The other candidates are running out of money. Huckabee may push for his V.P. spot soon. Romney may reconsider his prospects and quit. McCain was bruised and battered yesterday despite his naked assertions that he is the front-runner. The GOP across this nation is torn and undecided about who their candidate should be. This spells certain doom against whomever (likely McCain) will be sacrificed by the MSM on the altar of Hillary Clinton.
And so, I'm smiling. Ron Paul had a great night on Super Tuesday.

Love the optimism. Afraid it is not based in reality. Let me tell you why.
I spent 4 weekends canvassing with Ron Paul Meet-up groups here is Georgia. We spent money on billboards, newspapers. I talked to friends one on one. The Libertarian base in Georgia is supposed to be large. Michael Badnarik got more support in 2004 than Paul did yesterday. The guys running for Public Service Commissioner got more support and they had none of the Meet-Up support that Paul had.
We need a party where the message will be presented in 2008, 20012, and 2016. An independent campaign does not accomplish that.
Thanks for the blast of optimism. I should note that:
#1 RP didn't give up as of yesterday, because I was reading articles about opening new official campaign headquarters in states that hadn't voted yet.
#2 Many of the people who support RP were/are unable to vote for him in primaries because of party affiliations. You could consider many of those states to nearly double in a general election.
#3 If Billary and Crash get the nominations there are going to be a lot of pissed off disenfranchised people who might just be receptive to the ideas behind Dr Paul's campaign. If he chooses to push it that far then we might well be the "None of the Above" candidate. With a few prime time infomercials to escape the media presence Paul could get a goodly number of people, and in a 3 way contested race he might only need 33.4%.
Just some food for thought. I think that if we keep giving, he'll keep talking about OUR issues, and that is the #1 thing about this campaign for many of us to begin with. I'm tapped out until Friday, so I hope that he doesn't make a withdrawal decision before people start contributing again.
"Look, most people in this country are not frothing at the mouth about brown-skinned people who clean our bathrooms..."
This quote is very offensive to me. Just because you want to control ILLEGAL immigration, doesn't imply any racist inclinations. Controlling the border and keeping employment and salaries up is the right of any nation. The best way for America to help "the brown people" is to help all people by simply protecting what is important and our right and butting out of what isn't.
Greg, I'm sorry to have offended you, but the amount of hate-mail I receive telling me to "go back to Mexico" leaves me with little sympathy for nativists who ignore the Fed, the war and our big government and want to blame all our problems on illegal immigrants. My statement stands. I will continue to support Ron Paul as well as human rights for undocumented workers here and for Middle Eastern innocents dying from our occupation.
The elite want us to quit. We must drive on. The party machinery of both major parties are a sadly inconducive to grass-roots candidates, I understand. This is why a third party or independent run must occur later. What do we have to lose? Hitlery is a shoe-in against McCain or Romney, and you know she'll carry out the CFR orders to drive America into the ground by 2012 anyway. The same would be true even if the Republican candidate won (which of course they will not).
Well, I must have typed too much in my initial response as the site had a challenge loading and I lost it. Bottom line, thanks for keeping up the positive messages. This and the DOA article as sparked a new article I'm going to work on today so you've helped stir brain juices and that's always good. We'll lose many supporters over the next few weeks, that's OK. We understand it is a long haul revolution! Thumbs up!
Thank you for getting this information out. I agree the RON PAUL support is picking up daily. We supporters have to do what we can, give a dollar a day, talk to at least one new person a day, and continue to work on those who are starting to come around.
GO RON PAUL!!!! R EVOL UTION!!!
I didn't notice that you had an hispanic name Abe. Now the fact that your claim to have received "mexican go home" hate mail quite believable, and I can understand why you would feel the way you do.
Why I mention that is to explain that my perspective comes from the fact that I am very wary, not "paranoid", but perhaps over-wary against Cointelpro ops. This is why I'm on the look-out people who claim to be on our side, and then perpetuate stereo-types that we are racist.
There may be a "rebel" element to libertarianism which goes all the way back to the Confederacy, and that is basis for the stereo-types. Nevertheless, if libertarianism is to survive, stereo-typed charges of racism must be challenged.
Securing the border, in my opinion will help Americans of all creeds and colors, and in the long run Mexicans as well. By the way, this also applies to all immigration policy, not just the policy towards Mexican immigration. You might agree with me that the kind of racism you have met in your emails will only increase as more illegal immigrants come in, as fear and insecurity is always the prime driver of this.
We know that the global elite wants to bring about a One World Order, so it is not surprising that securing the American border is not priority with the CFR controlled government. That One World Order will not be for the benefit of "the brown people", on that you can rest assured.
Would Ron Paul be entitled to federal matching funds even if we decided to go 3rd party? I am not so petty as to say he should never take them on libertarian principle. I am a republican and I see it as voluntary money that is available under the current rules, so he should take the money and 'run 3rd party'.
This way the revolution continues and as an independant candidate he would in my opinion get more coverage in the media because nobody elses is out there, and they seem to be waiting for someone to challenge the ideas of both parties.
I am supporting Ron Paul, not the stupid party that is rejecting him. It doesn't matter to me if he would switch to a democrat, I would vote for him.
So far his ideas are too radical for the republicans, maybe not liberal enough for the democrats, but just right to people who take time to hear the message.
We need him front and center all the way thru to the general election. If the republicans don't want him that is just fine with me because I doubt I will stay a republican after this. They have abandoned all fiscal and civil principles.
Abe, don't you know that most Ron Paul supporters think that brown people are ruining this country?
Anyway Ron Paul had a horible supa tuesday. On this site winning is losing and losing is winning. Gains are losses and losses are gains. Bad is good, big is small, and stars are unknown. Reality is fantasy and Illegal immigrants are today's negros whom everyone wants to lynch for practicing free trade. I Hope that Ron Paul losses, he is wrong on immigration. I hope that Ron Paul losses because he had no chance, he screwed himself and it is over. good riddence.
Since we have opened up the immigration issue in these replies I have three comments myself.
#1 I'm in the UAW (not that it matters, but it shows my line of work), early 30s white dude, in the middle of the bible belt. As far as I am personally concerned I don't care who is here as long as they are willing to work and not expect me to pay for them.
#2 I have to hand it to Huckabee, him saying that people should be able to walk around with their heads up as American citizens does hit the nail right on the head as for why it is important.
#3 If the CFR lovers manage to turn us into a North American Union we should look at the brightside and recognize that many of out south of the border friends can trace themselves into a long line of REAL revolutionaries and might just have some useful things to teach us..... : D
Dan, thanks for your comments on my article. I agree that Ron Paul should consider the "voluntary" money if the FEC will make it available.
The GOP will ensure a defeat in November by rejecting Ron Paul. Remember, folks, the GOP primary and caucus are NOT an indication of American's opinions on the war, Bush-Cheney and coming economic depression due to fiat money and rate changes. Let's keep our head in the game! Let the GOP self-implode as they throw away the good things that Presidents Taft, Eisenhower and Reagan stood for.
Greg, thanks for your response. Let's agree to disagree that Ron Paul should focus on ads that wake the people up about the Fed, the war and the economy.
Thanks for your article, much truth, and must admit I was very surprised to read the heading, would have formulated it differently. Actually, Paul performed more or less according to the polls. I am wondering whether in the (9?) winner takes all states - where McCain won - like Az, NY etc. there were not some Ron Paul supporters that voted for McCain in order to become delegates - which they would otherwise not have become - and to then vote for Ron Paul during the RNC? I did not expect Paul to have performed outstanding, but wished we could win AL, MN and ND... etc? There is indeed some good news for us: McCain did not get the clean sweep, as some expected. His 50% of delegates are enough to make him the front runner, but he is not a very strong/convincing front runner, never mind how the media may spin it. Romney also did not perform as expected and he did not get his money's worth and has to consider the next few days to continue. Maybe he announce his end of compaign during CPAC on Thursday? He has to go full out (to win) or nothing, no in between: quite some risk for him. He may wait till till next week to see how he fares with the next one. Paul should ensure that he wins Lousiana, of which the primary will be held on the 9th (they caucus was already, they have a caucus-primary combination). And we should ensure we win WA, and also at least Vermont (where they sued Bush-Cheney). The Paul campaign should ensure they get the 33% GOP anti-Iraq war/occupation. As you say, the situation with Bush-Cheney could become worse, overseas groups - in Europe - are for suing them as well and perhaps some scandal of them will be exposed. Paul himself plays the right role: he should not be too anti-Bush at the moment (certain GOP base is still much pro-Bush and they believe in the Reagan 11th commandment). The economic recession and the situation in Iraq will probably deteriorate and both should help Paul and sway the course.
McCain's 100 years in Iraq and the fact that he stated that the war in Iraq was justified, even if it was known no weapons of mass destruction existed, should haunt him and tell the GOP he will loose against Hillary (she will probably win, with superdelegates), even though she is a divisive figure. Many GOP conservatives will also never vote for McCain in a general election (Dr. James DObson, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter etc... they will vote for Paul if they have to choose between McCain and Paul and Clinton, even though they disagree over the war).
Quite a number of Obama's, Kucinich' and Gravel's supporters will actually vote for Paul if he is a candidate (whether under GOP flag, Independent or New Party/Reform Party. At the moment he should NOT consider going Indy/3rd party, perhaps later, when the time is right and he has 100 m USD to campaign (he could get the conservative GOP vote, Independents plus left wing anti-war Democrats).
Some MSM seems to have taken note of hsi excellent economic program: this should be communicated to the voters, with TV ad campaigns etc and his economic advisers (especially Donald Luskin) should spread his message where he can (he cannot at CNBC, but they could refer to him and TrendMicro in an add and organise news conference). Important is also to let the foreign policy advisers explain Paul's foreign policy in more detail to GOP insiders, and the fact that they worked int he Reagan administration, also stressed.
Important for Paul to bolster his campaign and bring new life, is to be military experts and endorsements from prefrably an ex general etc. He has Michael SHeuer, get possibly more and explain to people about security. The issue is many people are scared due to the Bush propoganda and Fox media, and they have the (false impression Paul is soft on terrorism (like Democrats). It would also be good if politicians who endorsed him, like Barry Goldwater, Gary Johnson , Walter Jones as well as others can campaign actively with him, and also say a few words and stand behind him when he is talking. This would communicate "poer" and "authority+ to people, to see he comes from the traditional conservative base of the Republican Part. The perception people should get of Paul is that he has conservative respected principles, and that he is also moderate with an appeal to Independents and will unify the country and work well with Democrats, and respect the constitution at all times. The correct imagine they should have of him is that he can address all relevant fields and that while he is concerned about the (possible) economic recession, he is also optimistic regarding the future (with his economic principles) and a strong vision for the country. Reagan could attract a lot of people with his charisma and jokes. Paul is much smarter, like a professor and soft-spoken. He needs a charismatic strong person next to him that formulates his ideas in easy words.
Man it makes me sick to hear Trevor 's name everytime someone talks about the grassroots. The only thing Trevor did was create a company to suck over $600,000 out of the grassroots to fly a useless blimp in the sky. I do not know what is more inflated, the blimp, trevors ego, or his impact on the grassroots.
Learn from the massive failure that was the blimp and learn how to win an election. This is not a three ring circus.
Let's face it McCaine isn't going to get elected nor is Romney. The next president of the United States is looking like a Democrat. Problem with with politics is that the truth doesn't seem to have much value. Heck half the time when I talk to people about economics they are lost. It seems that we also needed a dumbed down version of Ron Paul. All he had to was campaign on the word "change" Obama style, no substance needed.
I don't have respect for the American citizens they did elect Bush twice. This doesn't mean that they aren't good flock just sheep. I mean look at the news yesterday Oil has the profits that are records in the history of the business. Is anyone asking "what's going on here". Here goes the country again into the toilet.
Oh and look, it's the statist trying to tell people what Ron Paul supporters think.
We don't hate "brown" people. We think the problem with immigration is that we have a welfare state. It's the welfare state we have a problem with, not immigration. As long as we have a welfare state, and illegal aliens are allowed to participate, it gives incentives for people to come here illegally, as well as putting huge demands on the taxpayers.
If the welfare state didn't exist, I think the majority of us would be all in favor of more open borders, as the people coming here would be coming here for work, not for welfare.
Immigration is the 1 issue that Ron Paul has changed my mind on. I've always been in favor of open borders, but we have to fix our own internal problems before we can keep taking on a load. Not to mention, immigration in itself doesn't even begin to take care of the problems elsewhere around the world.
I was disapointed with super Tuesday results, hoping for a win in maybe 1 state, even Alaska would have been nice. I think there was some people who dislike McCain so much that they voted Romney when they should have voted Paul, but with the republican party so small right now, I don't think Romney would have a chance against the Dems but I think a democrat wouldn't mind voting for McCain since he basically is one.
I'll keep doing whatever I can for the Ron Paul Revolution.
Badmedia, let's agree to disagree that Ron Paul needs to change the focus of his ads to the economy and big government not fence-building (which Paul doesn't agree with).
Yeah, hopeless would be the right word for what I'm feeling. Not so much about a Ron Paul presidency, but about having a candidate that makes so much sense -- and has walked the walk and not just talked the talk -- and the American people still go for more of the same.
I'll be voting for Ron Paul until he drops out, but I'm also actively looking for another country to emigrate to. At 45 years old I now think I'm past the point of believing things will ever change here.
And even if "no other country is better," at least I won't be disappointed by what I find there because I wouldn't expect as much from them as I do/did from the USA.
I think he'll stay in the race one way or another; that's part of the strategy. 1. Educate the american people and consolidate support. He has been doing very well on this front and I see the grouth continue to larger proportions.
2. The economy is going to be so bad by august in this country, inflicting great hardship on most people. The dollar will be hitting record lows. Deep recession with looming depression in the horizon.
3. As the dollar goes down, as a result of Iran starting to sell oil for Euros and other denominations next week instead of dollars, the "necessity" to quickly invade Iran is imminent.
There's much more to say on the above points but I can say that Ron Paul will become the american savior later this year.
I think he'll win this race. He just has to continue.
The official campaign needs to shift gears a bit. The ideals that generated the massive online support are the ones that should be promoted to the media, and to the people through advertising. More divisive positions should be moved to the back burner.
There is a consensus that government is broken, that the erosion of our freedoms has gone to far, that the economy is in peril, in a large part due to government overspending, and the war(s) should end. In general these are unifying issues and lend themselves well to soundbite campaigning which is proven to generate interest and work effectively.
Divisive issues are right-to-life and immigration. These positions are of secondary importance to many voters, but if highlighted become make or break issues for the candidate. Additionally, they are highly polarizing.
Complex issues are specifics of economic policy, the federal reserve, abolishing the IRS and other tax forms. Interested voters can learn about this on the internet, the usage of unifying issues can generate the interest for people to learn about these. Unfortunately, they do not lend themselves to soundbites and are unsuitable for they typical 30 second commercial. These topics may well be suitable for an infomercial style campaign as there are a lot of insomniacs in america.
For those that are involved in the movement, caucuses and delegate procurement should be the priority. A soundbite style emphasis is good for introducing conversations about the liberty movement.
Unfortunately the lack of media exposure is an issue, educated voters are generally aware of Ron Paul and his message, the television crowd is not. If the campaign wants to extend its reach and overcome this barrier, it needs to communicate more effectively with the mass electorate.
The advertising and awareness campaign needs a serious overhaul. Freedom is a big seller, packaging is important. The ads I have seen from HQ have been far less than inspiring. Its time to take it up a notch if we want to be in a position to capatilize on future events.
The economy will soon be the number one issue and will be a huge factor by november. Targeting of delegates that are in the other camps that can switch by then is also crucial.
We have lots of time and capital. We need to leverage this.
Say, go to the Ron Paul web site. Ron has 42 plus delegates, far more than the media reports. A sample is Minnesota is caucus state and no delegates were committed last night, not until May, yet the media incorrectly gave all the delegates to Romney. I am precinct chair, we had 42 vote on straw poll, then 20 left. The remaining 20 people voted for delegates. 6 Ron Paul delegates of 10 available are promoted to the next level. These delegates determine who is elected in Minnesota for the national convention. That is the real story. Not what the MSM is stating.
There is reason to be happy, we will be in this thing till the end. Never Quit! the race is long way from being over, Keep fighting to get the message out there! I will not vote for anyone except Ron Paul. be you republican or democrate you have to understand that McShame and Hillary are on the same team to bring in the North American Union, If thats what you want then by all means follow your heart, But if you are like me an American who likes being American and not a NorthAmericanUnionist, Vote Ron Paul. McShame is going to open the borders so will Hillery, and Jeb Bush will be the first prime minister of the North American Union, always wonderd why he was the only Bush Catholic, now I undertstand why he is Catholic, think about all those new low wage workers from the south, they are Catholic, hmmm. A Brave New World? Over my dead body!!!! RonPaul08 we can and we will win
Ron Paul has to stay in the race to keep telling people why the economy is suffering. Without Ron Paul, they can spin it too much. The only problem is that ron paul isolates himself from peak oil and 9/11 truth. You have to make some serious effort in terms of study and analysis in order to conclude that ron paul is the best choice. Anyone who puts forth that kind of effort is probably already aware that 9/11 was an inside job, so I just dont see what the point is in ignoring that issue. Make it about 9/11, and more people will question. More people will see films such as Press for Truth, and LCFC. I doubt it will change anything, but if the bottom falls out on this economy, then people really need to know the truth about 9/11, and the fact that it had a great deal to do with what destroyed our economy. Failure to do this could result in a level of tyranny that makes today seem like a day in kindergarten...
Face the facts... if this country goes into a depression being ignorant about 9/11 truth, then things are going to be much much worse than how they would be if we went into it at least knowing there was a large group of people rejecting the official story.
I am a Ron Paul supporter thru and thru, but your comment on nativism is just plain wrong. As expected you are following the libertarian play book. By most accurate polls Americans favor stopping illegal immigration by around 70%. Almost as many people are against any kind of amnesty, path to citizenship or legalization for illegal aliens. The amnest plan by Kennedy and McCain last year was defeated by the American public. Ron Paul is right on this issue. You are trying to blur the line between legal immigrants and illegal aliens. You are also trying to interject the race card. Jeffery Passel, a demographer with the Pew Hispanic Center, who has studied immigration trends reported: nationally 80-85% of all Mexican immigration since 1990 was undocumented (illegal). He also reported that among all other immigrant groups a great majority entered legally. Perhaps Abe, being of Hispanic origin you believe Mexicans or other Hispanics should be given a pass or move to the front of the line, just because they share your heritage, skin color or sur name.
I want to say to all the Ron Paul supporters, of which I am one, that I have never been so proud of the amazing accomplishments of this campaign so far. I have experience working on a few state representative and congressional campaigns, and I know the massive obstacles that were overcome to get this candidacy to this point. Of course, you would like to be leading in delegates and be locked in for the nomination, but if you believe that this campaign has failed then you underestimate what you have done.
This campaign started with a candidate that was for all practical purposes unknown to 99.9 percent of the population. The message of the candidate was one that most people have never heard. The message is one that challenges the conventional wisdom accepted by rank-and-file Republicans. The media either did not cover the campaign or would only mention it in passing, and sometimes using pejorative terminology. Yet, so far, this campaign has raised millions of dollars and garnered hundreds of thousands of votes. In addition, many hundreds of thousands have been exposed to the message of the campaign. Best yet, this effort is not over by a long shot. There is so much to be proud of. I am very proud of what we have done, will yet do in this campaign, and will accomplish for years to come. Simply amazing is what this is.
The dejection being felt is not about the Ron Paul campaign, but with our fellow voters - never underestimate the ignorance of the American electorate.
Then there is the continuing, growing and more blatant vote fraud - from grannys stealing Ron Paul votes and stuffing the ballot box for Mitt, to those damned hackable machines. How many elections do we have to hear about this, while NOTHING is done either locally, or by the state and federal office holders? This is criminal. And then, the dejection felt because of the biased (definitely not free) media.
But keep the eye on the prize - the campaign is doing much better than we're being led to believe by the media.
Note: never mind 'statist' - who is a troll who makes nasty comments about every NolanChart article about Ron Paul - 'statist' needs to get out of his mother's basement and get some fresh air.

The writer makes some good points. I agree; the Ron Paul revolution is just getting started. The message continues to spread worldwide. This election is just the begining of the fight of free people to get their basic human rights back; end the Federal Reserve and restore freedom and end corporate tyranny.
Great predictions.... The MSM war on McCain was in full swing last night on CNN's Glenn Beck, who insisted that blood might squirt from his eyes (or something to that effect) if Mccain was the GOP nominee. Be serious, "my friends", can someone who sings Bomb Bomb Iran in a public forum as a candidate for president of the USA really be elected? How could the rest of the world respect us after that? This would say a much about the voters as the nut case who said the words in the first place. McCain is history. Ron Paul is ready for the challange.
I hear this comment from so many people I thought somebody might have an answer to my question about this issue. Why is everybody is so gung-ho to pay taxes? Especially when 1 candidate is showing us that TAX collection on personal wages is a fraud. Does anybody even know that their tax monies are simply paying the usary imposed interest by the foreign bankers called The Federal Reserve? The tax collected from us just about covers the interest on the debt. The fed tax monies are not a benefit to us at all. So why would you simply not fix the problem instead of making a new version of tax? The fact of the matter rests in the law, since the current scheme is a well hidden fraud, changes will necessarly expose the fraud, hence it will never happen. Killing the FED and their collection buddies at the IRS will solve the problem. The monies now being routed out of the USA will then be available to capitalize the USA and individuals. An additional benefit, will be that many thousands of new workers will be available to contribute to the GDP (government and bankers are overhead parasites). People power! Not Central Bank power... oh they hate that!
