Ron Paul out of the Race?

Do you think it is over for Ron Paul?
by Sean Michaels

Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Do you think it is over for Ron Paul now that Super Tuesday is over? This is an absolute win for Ron Paul. We all always knew that Ron Paul was not going to get enough delegates to steal the nomination. He just needs enough to bring to the convention, which he has. The plan was to make it to a brokered convention, so that the message would get out to all of the republicans. The delegates are in fact uncommitted and many of them may not even know who Ron Paul is.

By having a brokered convention, they will all hear the message, no matter how the media has tried to black him out. The media will have no choice but to show the good doctor and his message as the whole thing will be televised. It will be run by the GOP, not the biased main stream media. This is what we need. Everyone will be watching if there is a brokered convention, Republican and Democrat. Whether the good doctor gets elected or not, the seed of freedom will be planted.

People will start to awaken from their apathy and question the things going on around them. It happened to me, and all it took was hearing Ron Paul speak 1 time. I used to watch Fox News almost exclusively when I was in the Army, and even after I had gotten out. I didn't even notice that the Neocons were hijacking the Republican Party. After hearing Ron Paul speak in length, and agreeing with so much of what he said, I did some more research on him and the Libertarian Party. I realized that I am not only a conservative Republican, I am also a Libertarian. Ronald Reagan once said, "If you analyze it, I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism". This speaks volumes to all those who think that Mitt Romney is a conservative and it is laughable to think that McCain is. Having said that, I think that no matter which way you lean politically, we all have a little libertarian in us. We are all Americans. This country was founded on the platform Ron Paul is running his campaign on.

We have gotten far away from what our founding fathers intended for us. But know this; the message absolutely does not have to "finish fourth, along with the candidate". Not if We the People keep fighting. Even if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination, the reason it is about the message is because people die, but the message doesn't have to. It is up to all of us to carry on that message. If you truly believe in the words that Dr Paul speaks about freedom and liberty, then the message can never "finish fourth".

This is called the Ron Paul Revolution. Even if Ron Paul isn't elected, and the status quo continues, then it is still a revolution. I am not saying that people need to arm themselves, but that We the People must rise up and be heard. Let the powers that be know that we will not give up our freedoms anymore. We need to be organized, and that is what this campaign has already started. The meet-ups. The forums. The blogs. The websites. It is already there. This is the framework for our revolution. There are many things we can do to continue the fight.

Don't Give Up!

Stand proudly behind the Freedom Fighter Dr. Ron Paul.

You are right - this is only the beginning!

Please help by posting links to your articles about Ron Paul at www.WhatTheySayAboutRonPaul.com for more people to see. We need to spread this message and we need more writers like you. Eventually the majority will understand that the message of Ron Paul is the only sustainable philosophy.

I don't know that the primary wing will be much pre-disposed to being unbiased towards RP either. But, if you take a moment and look around there is more hope.

A couple years ago Obama was a nobody. He got up in front of the Democratic National Convention and gave one hell of a speech (or so I am told). Now look at him, he his challenging the Queen Democrat for prominence. The point is, if RP can get to the convention and give one hell of a speech he can in fact gain a lot of traction for the things we believe in, even if it doesn't pan out for him it will be a godsend for the message.

To back this up, http://deathby1000papercuts.blogspot.com/2008/02/ron-paul-speaks-at-wv-gop-convention.html

says that many of the people at the WV run this weekend had no clue who RP was, but he got some thunderous applause with his speech, as he has done in all his debates. Exposing people to things that give them hope and resonate within them is something powerful and well worth supporting.

“A hare one day ridiculed the short feet and slow pace of the Tortoise, who replied, laughing: “Though you be swift as the wind, I will beat you in a race.” The Hare, believing his assertion to be simply impossible, assented to the proposal; and they agreed that the Fox should choose the course and fix the goal. On the day appointed for the race the two started together. The Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course. The Hare, lying down by the wayside, fell fast asleep. At last waking up, and moving as fast as he could, he saw the Tortoise had reached the goal, and was comfortably dozing after his fatigue.” -- Aesop

I am not giving up. Freedom is slipping from us, and I have my children to think about. If we lose our freedom there is no telling what they will do with us. How they will treat us.

I do not want to come to that day and have to look into my childrens tear streaked faces and tell them that I gave up when I had the chance to save our Freedom.

I do not know how this rEVOLution will change and what direction it will go in, but I am in it all the way!

I guess none of our actions have consequences whatsoever and people just get up and kill themselves because they have philosophic disagreement with us on what civilization should be. Also, they are lying when they tell us why they are attacking us. And the CIA assessment about the consequences of our actions is wrong as well. I guess we don't put in puppets around the world and if we did, it doesn't offend anyone just as our presence in their countries doesn't offend anyone. The idea that we were attacked for philosophic reasons alone is total nonsense. People aren't philosophers. They look at practical issues that affect them.

The question is how many delegates does RP need to be allowed to speak at the convention? You say he has enough. The neocons who have hijacked control of the party will surely do all in their power to prevent Ron Paul from being heard at the convention. Perhaps their efforts can somehow be circumvented. Even Rush and Coulter despite not wanting to bite the hand that feeds them have their breaking point and will not stomach a McCain nomination. Are they willing to sacrifice their job for their ideas, that is the million dollar question. Perhaps RP's unexpectedly low numbers will cause the neocons to gloat and let their guard down like the patriots did against the giants, everone was convinced a Patriot superbowl victory was in the bag.

Let us remember that libertarianism is not tied to being anti-war all the time, nor does it require anyone to make the bizarre statement that conservatives (Republicans) have been traditionally anti-war. Ike ended the Korean War because he was going to nuke the other side otherwise. Nixon ended the Vietnam War by bombing Hanoi into submission (and Republicans like me still say the liberals stabbed our non-commie allies in the back later....dooming the country to now be the most empoverished of them all - but soon to recover now).

The "movement" can survive but not when marketed as an "anti-war movement".

A brokered convetion is such an unusual event that it would almost certainly be ratings bonanza. It's a great opportunity to get the word out to far more people than the few who actually watch the debates.

I grew up in a very liberal household and used to canvass for a practically socialist organization but even I listen to Ron Paul and am impressed. I want him to be our next president not just because I have brothers that have come back from Iraq and Afghanistan mentally worn down. Not just because I believe in our 2nd amendment rights and our constitution but because he is honest. His voting record supports everything he has said. He has not changed his positions. He isn't for things that I am for. I am a believer in pro-choice and also would like to see gay marriage authorized but I would rather have an honest leader of integrity that doesn't agree wiuth me on everything than a liar that will tell me they are my friend while they twist the knife in my back.

statist: "It was over the minute he blurted that we were attacked because we were over there nonsence."

First, it's spelled "nonsense." Second, it isn't nonsense. Do a little research and you'll find what Rudy Giulliani had either forgotten or negelected to study before his foolish retort .

Even the 9/11 Commission Report said our foreign policy [which includes multiple bases in Arab/Islamic nations who hate us] led to the attacks.

Study first, then try to comment.

Five states? Cmon we can do it! We have to! Sooo many people still dont know who RON PAUL is or his message. I don't want to believe Americans are so brainwashed, uneducated, or so stupid to believe that any of the other candidates will make things better (or in the case of McCain) much worse! Are they really such war mongers they can't see the cosequences? Do they have a clue ? People should have to take test before they are allowed to vote. Well the test would be rigged to go the way the powers that be wanted them and they would get there way just like the elections, msm ect. The contitution says we can overthrow the government. How you go about doing that? Is violence neccesary? Can't people see we can't let this go on. PAUL or no PAUL? I don't think I am over reacting as to how bad things are do you? We can't take a chance on another 4-8 years of this can we? We must take back our liberty NOW. It is already to long in coming. We may not even be aware of what they're working at this moment that we will only hear about when its to late to fight it. Face it the government is way out of control and is trying to control other governments. Will we just go along? If we do we deserve what we get!SOMEONE GIVE US AN ANSWER PLEASE! I am not that smart.

I also totally agree. The fight has just begun. It has taken a long time to get into this mess, and it may take awhile to get out of it. first step, impeachment, indictement of Bush administration, and then jutice against the war profiteers and corporate criminals. The media will have to be restored as well- no small task.

I like to see optimism when it's based in reality.  I don't think it's very likely that this will be a brokered convention any more.  We should brace ourselves for the high likelihood that the GOP will shut out Ron Paul from speaking at all, much less that there will be uncommitted delegates who can be persuaded, and will be, and enough to get him the win.

Let's not forget the big picture, and the huge gains that the Ron Paul 08 campaign has made in popularizing libertarianism.  We should be reaping the rewards from this for years go come, and hopefully building on them.

I hope Dr. Paul's right. However, the last times the GOP had brokered conventions (1940, 1952), the Wall Street NWO gang stole the nomination from the Constitutionalist (Bob Taft).

You are so wrong! Dr. Paul was exactly right and many, many people agree with him. Just a reminder to you Mr. Statist, this revolution we wage is for even people like you. We are fighting as much for your freedom as for the rest of Americans. You err when you criticize Dr. Paul for his policy. You sound like Rudy yelling 9/11 and attacking Dr. Paul for telling the truth that even the CIA put forward. It is very important that we fight to the last man.  My sons and I have been involved in the support of Dr. Ron Paul.   BLACKWATER West is also taking up a great deal of our time, as we have been following it very closely.  These thugs who will be training just east of my current location are the ones who will be rounding us up while our conventional forces are fighting undeclared wars overseas.   With gillie suits and spotting scopes my boys and I have been able to moniter the 800 acre mercenary training camp.   I takes a great deal of time, as we have to enter and exit with a great deal of caution, at times being able to move only a few feet in an hours time.

If you plan on saying no to the Real Id or any number of other plans which the globalist have in store for us, these Blackwater mercenaries will come for you.

Do not let Blackwater buy any land near you and your families.  This Blackwater west project is a nightmare and it needs to be watched very closely.

Good luck in the coming days friends and GO RON PAUL.

Join the ground war-- get off the net and find out who your precinct leader is.  If there isn't one, consider yourself promoted!

It's time for the final scramble for the remaining available delegates, and the ONE METHOD that has been proven repeatedly to get results is canvassing door to door. Before you have to vote with your feet, use your feet to get the vote!

Your commentary is on target.  Use the movement to spread our framers' vision of individual liberty, constitutionally limited government and free enterprise economics - the prime directive.

However, the diagram at the top is flawed, so I offer the following information.

The political spectrum goes from anarchy, or absensce of government, to overwhelming totalitarian government.  Anarchy is temporary.  Every man must continually protect his family and property, so nothing gets done.  The clamor for safety leads to oligarchy, rule by the elite few.  A Republic is the rule of law, just enough government to protect God-given rights to life, liberty and property.  Farther down the spectrum is Democracy, majority rule, which evolves to mob rule with arbitrary overwhelming government, then Oligarchy.  Monarchy really doesn't exist, since one person cannot control many.  Oligarchy  is the most common form of government historically and today.

All economic systems are capitalist, since all use capital, the means of production.  The only difference is who owns and controls the capital.  Under the free enterprise economic system, people or their companies own and control the capital.  Under fascism, people still have title to property, but its possession, use and disposition are controlled by the state.  Under socialism, the state aquires ownership in key industries, such as energy, transportation and telecommunications and uses this, with taxes and regulation, to leverage control over the rest of the economy.  The communist economic system is more honest than fascism or socialism.  There is no pretense of private ownership.  All capital is owned and controlled by the state.

You can find on YouTube an excellent 29 minute professionally produced JBS "Overview of America" video that explains all this and our framers' intent.  Trust me, it will fit the missing pieces into your puzzle and is worth the time.  I purchased and gave out 200 of the DVDs.

My email inbox has been flooded the last few days from members of my RP meetup group with reports about sign placement and complaints about lack of media coverage of Ron Paul. Most of these people are young energetic activists who could work on Libertarian or Republican Liberty Caucus campaigns in the future.

Great article. The most important fact is that the Revolution has started, regardless of a presidential win. LIBERTY loving Americans finally had their apathy cured by the good Dr. Everytime I watch the IOWA straw convention it gives me chills and anger when Dr. Paul tells us "the Founding Fathers would be ashamed at what WE are putting up with". We have put up with too much crap from the statists establishment. BLUF: We need to take this movement that the good Dr. started and retake Congress in 2010. We have a lot of passionate, dedicated and extremely intelligent people on our side. We need to get off our arses and run for office. IF you are not the guy, find that guy amongst you and support his/her run for office. Can you imagine if in 2010 we swear in 100 soldiers of the FREEDOM army into Congress. If we do this Dr. Paul will not be alone in the House. We can change this mess if we stick together and refuse failure. Failure in this contest means socialism and the death of our beloved gloriuos REPUBLIC. Keep the faith regardless of what the MSM the establishment and ALL OTHERS that are not willing to be free say. BTW: The statist always roots for the house and not the players, he enjoys stirring the proverbial poop pot, so just ignore him and maybe he will go away, but we will be sure to shave his head once the revolution happens just like the French traitor whore SS bootlicker that he is. LIBERTY or DEATH
