Don't Look What the Republican Party and it's Handlers are asking us to do by Declaring the Primary Season over and making McCain the Nomineeby EJ Moosa

We have become a nation of quiters. Our leaders abandon their principles as soon as they think then may lose. They abandon their causes and their beliefs as soon as they believe there is no hope of winning.
Look at the candidates who just three months ago told us they were America's Best Hope who quit even before the half-way point was reached: Fred Thomson, Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, John Edwards. These guys are quiters.
Better yet, we have the political pundits telling us that Huckabee is hurting Romney, and that he should quit. We have talking heads telling us that to beat the Hildabeast in the fall, they must all quit and support McCain.
What in the hell is going on in the Republican Party? Have they lost so much confidence in themselves that they must quit the Nominating process early to win in the fall?
Now we have more losers of the past coming out to support John McCain. Bob Dole is writing letters to Rush Limbaugh, fearing that any questions on McCain are going to hurt the Party's chances in the Fall. Sean Hannity suggesting we may have to moderate our position on illegals to win in the fall. Sacrifice your principles to win: Is this what we teach our children?
What are they asking us to do? Don't Look!!!!
Don't look at McCain's stand on immigration.
Don't look at his campaign finance reform and censorship of free speech.
Don't look at the tax cuts he opposed.
Don't look at McCain's record. As long as you can do that, we need to unite behind this guy so we can beat Hillary.
I have news for you. It is not that easy. McCain does not get to win by default. He is not going to be declared winner at halftime, so that he can get ready for the next big game.
Those in power may not want us to look. Watch how many times you are asked to not look, to overlook, to accept that McCain has changed. Watch how many times you are hit with the fear of Clinton or Obama as President as the reason to not look at the candidate we are being asked to support.
Open your eyes. Look. Judge for yourself. Do not let the rest ot the candidates be talked into quiting at the halfway point.
Huckabee may quit after Super Tuesday. Romney may quit. Ron Paul is not going to quit. So if McCain and the rest of his posse think that it will be smooth sailing after today, he better get ready for a rumble.
There is a lot more at stake than who is winning at the halfway point. To believe that 1/2 of the nation will sit back and accept what the other half decided for them shows how ignorant the media is.
This is not over regardless of what the experts dare to tell you. Just look for yourself. Ron Paul has raised over 5 million over the last five weeks. Paul will not quit. This is just the End of the Beginning.
Ayn Rand wrote in The New Intellectuals three keys to defeating those of us that are thinkers. Using guilt and fear, we are going to be told not to look, not to judge, not to be certain and to give up. If we follow this plan, and McCain in the nominee, do you really believe he has the intellectual firepower or the proven record to beat a charismatic candidate such as Obama or Hillary? Guilt and fear will be used by the democrats to roll the Republican Party right out of significance.
Emotion will trump a candidate of no principle every time. Don't look if you do not want to. But you will suffer the consequences. Only a principled man such as Ron Paul has the ability to defeat an emotional opponent.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I must admit giving in to despair last night. Not just for Ron Paul and the movement gathered behind him, but for the future of our country.
Last night I wrestled with a question: "Are we waking up too late?" The insidious seeds of the destruction of the United States were planted long ago and have been growing their mammoth root system steadily, quietly and without hindrance under our very noses. It seems that now, only now that what was sown in secret is breaking through the surface, are some coming out of their lethargy (myself included), rubbing their eyes and realizing just what has been going on all the time. The enemies of our freedom have not been sleeping. They have been very busy, among us, within our own borders, utilizing the powerful tools of our own weaknesses against us: apathy, idleness, false-security, desire for luxury and ease, etc.
Your article helped snap me out of this despair. I am not going to quit shining the light of truth on McCain's flaws, nor on the other lies and propaganda. You are so right to remind us: REAL PEOPLE OF INTEGRITY DO NOT QUIT! They do not "go quietly into that good night"! They do not compromise, giving up a little of their souls for a lesser evil. What we are standing for, fighting for, is JUST! We are standing for truth and freedom!
I got out my copy of the Declaration of Independence and Paine's Common Sense last night. The odds were heavily against the revolution at the beginning, but they persevered and WON! It took time; it took sacrifice (a word we present-day Americans don't like to hear); it took money and effort! They purchased our freedom and independence by NOT backing down from the truth and their principles! Many of the loyalists of that day actually agreed with the rebels, but couldn't be bothered to exert themselves to action! It was too much effort and they didn't want to rock the boat, much like the people voting for the status quo today; they were trading the comfort of the "known" for the precious pearl of freedom.
I read and heard the reasons some voted yesterday and was aghast (but somehow not surprised). "I voted for Hillary because I want to see a woman in the White House during my lifetime." "I voted for Barak because he is charismatic." "I voted for McCain because he was a Vietnam veteran and soldiered overseas." "I voted for Romney because he looks good and ran a successful company." "I voted for Huckabee because he is a Christian." And worst of all... "I voted for ---- because I've been told they are the only viable candidate against the other party."
Compare this to the main reason people are voting for Ron Paul... "I agree with his stand on returning to the Constitution and the principles of limited government." "He is a man of integrity and has voted consistently for the issues on which I agree." "He is for individual responsibility and freedome." This last reason is one at which nanny-state people quake. Imagine being responsible for one's own life!
Again, EJ, thank you! I needed the cold water of your article thrown in my face. I pray others read this too and are encouraged to continue supporting not only Ron Paul, but the very foundation of our country, of our the Republic! I wish everyone would stand and declare their independence from the madness... remain strong and persevere in the face of tyranny! (Strong words, but they are truth.)
As for me "...that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." I am going to STAND fast!
Ooops! I spotted a spelling error in my post, spelling freedom with an "e" Just a little typo, but forgive me; I was overly-excited to post here today. Keep up the good fight!
